    Happens a lot actually. Same situation for us. Husband had had two J-1's before and SS #.
     
    All you need to do is apply for AOS (EAD and AP to) after marrying.
     
    You'll get your EAD. Once you get your green card you simply take it into a social security office and they will supply you a new social security card with the DHS info removed.

    Wooo!! Got our approval/NOA2 today! Just checked the website. Haven't gotten anything in the mail yet! Our NOA1 was May 2, 2017. So, uh, now what? Lol. What's this DS-160 people have been talking about?  Hopefully they'll lay some of it out in the letter.

    Still waiting to hear back! We are an NOA1 of May 2. Hoping to hear some good news soon! I think I might try to call in today and see if there is any update... a bit scared to do so though! What is the process for doing that?? Let me know if you have any tips and instructions
