Like the info I quoted, the first number is just the median (first 50%). So that's many cases spread-out in that initial range.

The lawyer is wrong. The date that matters is when I-485 is approved: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-d-chapter-2
    Effective Date of Permanent Residence
A person is generally considered an LPR at the time USCIS approves the applicant’s adjustment application or at the time the applicant is admitted into the United States with an immigrant visa.[9] Most applicants applying for adjustment of status become LPRs on the date USCIS approves the application.[10]

Yes.  If a green card is granted after your 2nd wedding anniversary, then you get a 10 years green card.  The day you submit the I-130 has nothing to do with getting a 2 years conditional green card or a 10 years green card.  Your attorney is horrible.  This is basic immigration.

Interprey literally.   Based on the age of your marriage upon approval.

    The attorney is incorrect.
What matters is the timespan from the marriage until the date that you become a Legal Permanent Resident.
If you do an immigrant visa process, the latter date is the date of entry into the US.
If you do AOS, the latter date is the date that AOS is approved.

The date of filing the I-130 has no role, other than setting a Priority Date (for categories where a PD even applies).

For the I-864 for AOS, you cannot self-sponsor without EAD and you can’t AOS until you’ve lost the current GC in which case you’ll lose EAD and need to apply for a new one, so your in a catch 22 type situation when the courts finalise your case..

you can include the your assets

best for new wife to get a better job or a joint sponsor

Your current marriage has no relevance on your current green card.  You do not need to adjust your status.

However, you will not be able to file the N-400 until you've been an LPR for 5 years FYI.
