Oh; you're one of those. OK. Please don't let the media spoon feed you on who is a terrorist. There have been many cases of terror committed in this country by non-Muslims and no they don't scream anything and no they don't blow people up. But they've killed many people with guns. I'm pro-gun, for the record. Just because they media and government did not label them as terrorists didn't make their act an act of non-terror.

That does not make it any less heartbreaking for the less than 200 affected (although it was more than 200)
and that does not make right those people who were forced to surrender their GC and that does not make it right the way Muslim Americans (USC) have been treated at airports

also as has been pointed out many many times, no one from those 7 countries has ever staged a terrorist attack in the USA

require police certificates when filing i485. currently it is possible to come here on b1/b2 and adjust your status without having to ever submit police certificates. so it is possible to hide past crimes if you never admit to them. if you apply for an immigrant visa abroad you must get police certificates from every where you lived 6 months or more so those crimes would have a better chance of being found.

Yeah, tell that to the LEGAL visa holder & green card holders who were detained/deported last weekend. Also, the 7 entire countries that have been banned from the US. I've been telling myself it's just the illegal immigrants they have a problem with, but it's so not true at all.

I think you will be fine with what you are providing.
You may want to reconsider the 3-ring binder and sheets, as they disassemble it and reorder how they like to scan into their system. I had also compiled a binder (which I was extremely proud of!) but ended up using binder and paper clips to group things together, one large clip for the entire packet, then slid that into an envelope. It makes it easier for the person processing your application.
Best of luck to you guys!

Hawaii is a little different than other states.  They can and will do customs checks even though it's just a normal state.
Do what you want to do. Yes,  they can deport you since you are out of status and not in a period of legal stay. It doesn't matter that you arrived legally. Simply filing the AOS and getting the NOA1 would fix that for you.  If you don't want to, that's your choice.  It sounds like you just want people to say it's okay and really, it's not, regardless of the fact it's a state to state flight.

I agree what you said. It gets to the point where you find yourself repeating day in day out. Even if I had my EAD and couldn't find a job, I'd feel the same.
Off topic to this message: I'm sorry to see that there are people here -in other threats like these- rudely telling people to 'get over it because you chose for it' or 'Well, you should have chosen CR1 if you feel that way." That's a shame because we're all different and we all choose what we think is the best for us. Of course the CR1 visa has great options when it comes to when you enter the United States like immediately having your greencard (Or wait for it to come in the mail eventually), the authorization to work or leave the country etc etc but like I said, I couldn't handle being married to him and spending the first year of our marriage together (and this is not a bash or attack to those who did! Whatever floats your boat) so that's why we chose for K1 -> AOS. It's a little difficult at times because after all, we're all in a different country, trying to adjust, trying to get through a culture shock or feeling alone but I'm more than happy to be with him and yeah it does suck not to work, but that's -like I said before- something we all knew when we started this. Just sometimes, it hits you and a forum/community like this is great to talk to each other about it because you know you're not the only one having a slump that day or that week. That's perfectly okay and you don't sound ungrateful! Being in a foreign country with your friends and family being back home - no matter if you're K-1 or CR/IR1, that can hit you. I'd wish more members showed some compassion in that. This forum is great and we should pursue being able to talk to each other about things we faces instead of getting bashed down for choosing the way we chose.

What a sad and embarrassing time for us US citizens. I'm so sorry it came to this.
We're currently waiting for my esposo's 10 year green card. In about 5 months we can apply for his citizenship. Once he has that we're already planning on moving back to Costa Rica. I just can't let my years of hard work and thousands of dollars go to waste, he's getting that damn citizenship!!!!

It is visa fraud if he is entering on a tourist visa with PLANS to get married and stay. It doesn't matter if he has been here before or not.

If he came here and you two got married, then he went home and you filed for a CR-1, that is fine.

But you have preplanned to marry and adjust his status from a tourist visa...that is visa fraud.
