Finally, an update! My status changed from 8 months until case decision to 7 months.
I filed early under the 3-year rule and I am eligible for citizenship on November 3rd.

So I had my citizenship interview last Oct 26 and I got approved. Thank God! Waiting on the oath schedule. Normally, how long does it take before they schedule one or upload the schedule letter?

You can see everything online.
I received by mail a notification that I filled and paid, the interview letter and the oath appointment letter.

If you submitted N400 online, you can find all the documents(NOA1, Biometric notice, interview notice..) in your online account.

Welcome to the thread! Yes, you will receive the receipt notice and the biometrics reuse notice in the mail. The “action taken” email is because of those receipts being created.

File Date Online: August 28
Biometric Reuse Notice: August 28
Receipt Notice: August 28
Received 3 emails since then advising that an action was taken for my application but there has not been not update since Aug 28. I am pretty sure the field office assigned to my case would be the Memphis, TN office.
Would I still receive a letter in the mail?

Now that immigration has gone into allowing us to apply on computers, i would hope the computers are generating the necessary security checks on new cases and u would automatically receive email to update
1. the receipt
2. computer asks FBI for background check
3. state check is done for driving records (not necessarily in FBI records)
4. FBI name check which can be different than criminal report
5. check on any international travel
u would get notice that the computer did something but never know what the something was
there will be new updates when those reports are returned to USCIS
this does not mean a CO is actually working on the petition yet but computer Is
At least i hope they let the computers do this automatically

Probably August 28 was the change.
Just ignore and relax

I also applied under the 5 year rule even though I came on K-1 (3-year mark happened in the middle of COVID so I was in no rush for any interview). The only thing I uploaded was front and back of 10-year GC and marriage certificate, no need to include anything they don't ask for.

I uploaded tax transcripts under the additional evidence section.

Don't make filing more difficult than it is. I suggest filing online under the 5 year rule. You won't need some of the stuff you listed. Under the 5 year rule, you will not need ANY bona fide marriage proof....or even a cover letter. The online application will tell you what to upload. Bank account, Car insurance, and home insurance evidence is not needed.

As long as you have been present for at least half the time (30 months, 913 days, see here https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-d-chapter-4#:~:text=Applicants for naturalization under INA,days) before filing the application.), which from what you say seems like you have been, you should be good to go. Keep in mind though that physical presence is not the only requirement.
Best of luck!
