  1. Unfortunately she will NOT be allowed to have her VISA interview, until the test results of her sputum culture are finalized.  We experienced the same situation in March of 2017 upon completing my spouses pre-interview medical examination. The CR1 visa interview had to be rescheduled for a date after the negative results of the sputum test.  As a result, it pushed back the interview date and immigration visa approval 90-120 days, for which we initially did not anticipate.  All in all it was another USCIS hiccup in our persuit of the approval of the visa.

  2. NVC will email you with essential information required for you to schedule the Immigrate Visa appointment at the US Consulate in Cuidad Juerez Mexico.   Once you recieve that email you can create/set-up an account on this website =  https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/information/iv_services ?  If NVC has not provided you with a Cuidad Juarez Consular interview appointment date you will not be able to set-up and/or register on this website until you are notified/recieve that information.  Buen suerte siempre!

  3. In that you said that your green card expiration date will be soon, it's recommended that you call USCIS 1 month prior to its actual expiration date to schedule an Info-Pass appointment to obtain an extension stamp in your passport.  When your call is answered, say 'Info-Pass appointment' to be/get tranferred to an agent who will assist you to schedule the appointment at the USCIS Field Service Office that is has jurisdication of your ROC application.

  4. Sign-up and register your visa interview appointment on this website = https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/information/iv_services.  Carefully read/undertsand all the instructions/information with regard to changing and/or cancelling your current scheduled interview appointment date.  If you have not done so already, email & call the US Cuidad Juarez Consulate to ask/request that your interview appointment remain to original date that was scheduled in June. Buen suerte siempre.

  5. The question is, did the NVC email provide you with essential information required for you to schedule the Immigrate Visa appointment for your Mother?  Have you attempted to create /set-up an account on this website =  https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/information/iv_services ?  If NVC has/did not provide your Mother with a Cuidad Juarez Consular interview appointment date in their Novemeber email, then you will not be able to set-up and/or register on this website until you rae notified/recieve that information. Suggest you call NVC asking to speak with a 'Tier 2' level individual to clarify/ask/inquire as to the approximate further wait time in issuing an interview appointment at the US Cuidad Juarex Consulate for your Mother's interview.

  6. Which agency emailed you on October 27, 2021, USCIS NVC or the U.S. Consulate General Cuidad Juarez, Mexico?  If it was not from Cuidad Juarez, you will have to await their email notifiction that your Mother is eligable to schedule an appointment for her interview.  Likewise, you are always free to call the Cuidad Juarez Consulate Immigration Visa Section for further clarification or assistance asking what the projected current wait times are for their notifying you of your Mother's eligiablity to schedule an interview appointment. Buen suerte!

For those of you who have had your N-400 interviews, if you did your application electronically, did you still bring a printed dupe of all documents you included?
I just organised my entire I-751 dupe I made and am now wondering if I should do my N-400 as a physical copy too.

Stelare, although you initially submitted all documents and required enclosures electronically, it's always prudent to bring with you hardcopies in the event your interviewer questions and/or asks about/for a specific item. Likewise, print all joint banking, utilities, mortgage/rent invoice statements, joint insurance policies & invoices, any joint credit card statements, or any other joint reoccurring payment documentation, plus air travel ticket receipts or airline account manifest printout. Always err on being prepared with 'more evidence' to present is always the best preparation. You will be fine, just be relaxed with a pleasant attitude and your interview will go well!

Sorry I should've clarified, they were 2 separate letters addressing each the N400 interview and the I-751, but both scheduled at the exact same time. But yes, my husband will definitely be there with me for the I-751 portion of the interview.

You will have a combined joint interview then. Our interviewer began by questioning the two of us together, as to full birth names, DOB, where did we meet and date, how long we had lived and been together. All in all I was in the first part of the interview 9-11 minutes, then asked to return to the waiting room area. My spouse's N-400 interview lasted another 19-20 minutes, and was advised that the interviewer was recommending his approval for US naturalization.  Now we're awaiting notification of the scheduled Oath Ceremony date and time in Atlanta.

Interesting. I haven't received a follow up letter, just the two separate letters with appointments at the same time, which I guess is enough in itself to say it's a combo interview.

Rest assured the USCIS Interviewing Officer will conduct a joint combination interview. You'll be asked if you have supplemental evidence you would like to submit, such as bank statements, utility statements, car insurance/registration documents, and others that demonstrate your life and marriage is legitimate. Easy peasy!

If you've received 2 separate appointment letters, and they each specifically indicate N-400 interview, I suspect that whoever internally processed the 2nd letter erred and should have mailed the I-751 interview notification during the N-400 scheduled interview. Anyway, both of you plan to attend, and inform the interviewer or during the inside check-in process after you've cleared USCIS FSO security upon entering the building.  You are good to go!

No updates here, either. Hubby's i-751 was transferred to NBC in March 2020 (yep, a year ago!). The online case status has been "my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" since May 13, 2020. We've already submitted two case inquiries due to being outside normal processing times and had our DC Congresswoman contact USCIS. No movement.

Hubby filed the N-400 in May 2020 and his citizenship interview is this Friday, March 19. I thought USCIS would schedule a combo interview after he had to get the ADIT stamp in his passport in January 2021, but it looks like the interview Friday is just for citizenship. No idea how this will pan out.

USCIS, depending on the FSO. will normally notify with a follow-up USPS delivered letter advising that the N-400 will be a combo joint I-751 interview informing that the spouse is required to also attend.  If it were me, I would plan to accompany your spouse in the event that they failed to notify of the combined joint interview status. That way they will not have to re-schedule the N-400 to include having a joint combo of your I-751. Progressive analytical projected thinking...

That's an option, I'm just trying to find another way in advance rather than leaving it at the hands of an Uber driver on the day of the ceremony.

    Ohio

Consider calling the local office of your Ohio District Congressional elected US House Representative, advise them of your dilemma, and ask them to assist you with accommodating arrangements for your Oath Ceremony other then drive through.

I know this is silly, but the question is the following: I was scheduled for a drive through oath ceremony. I don't drive and don't have anybody to take me there that day. Now, I can uber there, but pretty sure the diver wouldn't wanna stay with me through the whole process lol. Will they turn me around if I show up on foot? What do I do? Walking from tent to tent in between the cars is gonna be comical. :(

Suggest you contact your USCIS Field Service Office, and/or Google US District Court [here type the name of the location of the USCIS FSO your had your N-400 interview] and check how to contact them. In your contacting them inform them of your situation, and ask them what alternative options they have to accommodate you for your Oath ceremony.  In as much, it would be helpful if you would post back here on VJ how they handled and/or accommodated your situation and request.  Buen suerte.

Hello, congratulations, I see that your N-400/I-751 is approved, can we please know what are the questions/documents officer asked you during the interview?

Bring any/all joint and/or individual bank monthly checking and/or savings statements, copies of joint utilities statements, and individual or joint Investment accounts statements whether 401-K, Roth or Traditional IRA account monthly statements. Any joint accounts paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.  Automobile joint registration proof of ownership, and valid insurance policy coverage invoice/documentation. Photocopies of renewed and/or new drivers licenses. Our interviewer did not ask for/request photos, Holidays cards, or proof of travel outside or within the US by air. Every interview and interviewer are different. Bring as much additional documentation as you believe your case and relationship would benefit from submitting. Our interviewer did not specifically specify what we should additionally submit. She asked please give me copies of all additional items you would like to submit for our consideration in the final evaluation of your case.

    Questions asked;

    1. What was one important thing that Abraham Lincoln did?

    2. Name the 2 senators who represent the State of Georgia in Congress?

    3. What is the Name the current Vice President of the USA?

    4. What movement tried to end racial discrimination?

    5. Name one American Indian tribe in the United States.

    6. Name one U.S. territory.

    Thank you!

One final question: how far in advance of the interview did you receive the notification? We're now only 12 days away from the scheduled N-400 interview.

We received the notification of the joint combination I-751 at the time of the N-400 interview 96 hours after the initial Naturalization scheduled appointment interview notification.
