Approved! It seemed like forever but we finally received our notice of approval. No interview required 🙌🏾 

ROC submitted: July 26th, 2020, case received on July 31st, 2020
Biometrics on September  9th, 2020
New card is being produced on May 29th, 2020
Case was approved on June 1st, 2020
Card was mailed on June 2nd, 2020
Also received approval notice in the mail on June 3rd, 2020
 
EAC. Had interview for AoS but not for RoC.
 
 

Well, looks like we don't have to wait to get the green card to see if it's the corrected 2-year or the 10-year...status updated again today. Yay!!! Now we get to enjoy it for a week before dropping another $725 for the N-400! 🤣🤣🤣

Tampa is pretty fast so if I were in your position, I would just apply. You can just ask them later on when you get the interview letter if this is going to be a joint interview if it comes to that point. One thing that you don't want to do is just show up for the interview without asking because they might just cancel it instead of having a joint one.

1.  Not based on our experience.  We applied for N400 on December 30 while ROC was pending.  Ended up having our ROC interview on January 9th and now have a 10 year green card.  
2.  You will get an extension letter until you have an interview and there is no guarantee it will be a combo interview, especially with the delays due to COVID-19.  Some people have gotten a 10 year green card before then.
 
Our goal is citizenship, therefore we applied while ROC was pending.  We didn't see any reason to wait.   Now waiting for Naturalization interview and expecting it to happen sometime this summer.   

Well, today her status on the ‘old’ case tracker site changed to ‘New Card is Being Produced.’ No idea though if that means the 10 year green card or just the corrected 2 year! Guess we’ll find out soon!

I think they are accurate but they are publishing 3 month wide windows, kinda like surgery with a baseball bat

Nothing is moving for March or April 2019 filers either if they are at YSC, so I am not sure if 12-month is accurate here

My guess is nothing will move until July (or 12+ months since filling). But I'd love to be proven wrong

My timeline is below:
07/16/2019 - I751 package delivered to USCIS (Lewisville, TX)
07/22/2019 - I797 - 18-month extension received in mail - assigned to Vermont Center (EAC-------)
08/10/2019 - Biometrics scheduled for 08/21
08/21/2019 - Biometrics done, the whole process is less than 5 minutes, no update on USCIS website yet
08/27/2019 - old website updates the case status to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed", new website still stays unchanged "We Received Your Case".
05/19/2020 - New Card is being Produced.
 
The whole process took almost 10 months. We did not have child when we filed but now we have a little princess. No RFE, no interview. I came to the US via F1 visa, interviewed for AOS. 

USCIS is like other government agencies, with old, outdated processes and lots of inefficient, entitled employees who should have been fired years ago, bad management practices, and a lack of accountability.  Then you add to that the higher levels of scrutiny to assess public charge issues, new forms added to the process for social media accounts and financial background, all of that takes more employee time, so increased fees are necessary to offset the higher costs.  If applications are down right now because of the virus, they can't just fire employees to reduce costs because of government union agreements.  We can complain all we want to, but understanding the reality of the situation and accepting it is a better way to go in my opinion.  US immigration processes take a long long time and cost a lot of money, more and more people every year want to come here, adding to the cost and wait time.  And if there is a change at the top in November, it could have the effect of adding more applications to the queue and making the situation worse, not better.  Just my two cents.

What I learned from calling to uscis is that they would give you different answers all the time 

lmfao. I saw 2 or 3 people applied in December and got approved
