Congratulations! Time flies! We were about the same timeframe when we were going through the IR-1/CR-1 process. I’m still waiting for my citizenship interview (I’m in month 15 of waiting) - pleased to see you are done with USCIS forever.

    Wishing you every happiness.

I hope your interview goes well!

We've been blessed that this whole process has gone rather quickly.  We applied for citizenship in March.

We won't know what to do with ourselves without deadlines and paperwork!

Thanks. I haven't heard anything yet. Sorry for the late response. Were your papers in MCS (National Benefits)? Also, how did the interview go? Only one person need to attend or both?

Yes we were ate MCS. The interview was super easy.  She didn't even want to see any of the stuff we brought! She just confirmed our names,  birthdays and social security numbers.  She asked how we met,  when we started dating and that was about it. Said we were approved.  Both need to attend interview and it says so on the interview appointment letter.

Again, congratulation!.  Ours is also easy and sure thing but still waiting.  Most likely it just has to do with the queue and priorities of the local office.  Anyway, another 6 months and my spouse can apply for citizenship, which is the end goal.  But it would sure be nice to get past the I-751 adjudication.

I'm sure it will happen any day for you

What great news!!! Keep us posted as to when the GC arrives! This might be a new record for fastest I-751 ever? You filed in March of this year according to your timeline?

That is correct.  I still can't believe it happened so fast.  I think they are hurrying through with the ones that are easy and pretty much a sure thing.

  5. We had our interview today.  It was a piece of cake!

We had taken loads and loads of documents showing commingled finances and things like that along with pictures and letters from family and even proof of my kids taking my husband's last name.  She didn't even want to see any of it.

She asked when and where we met,  confirmed address,  social security numbers,  full names and that was it.

She said she was recommending us for approval and gave us a letter marked the same and said to watch the mail for certified letter within a few weeks with new green card

We had taken loads of paperwork showing commingled finances and things and lots of pictures,  cards,  letters from family,  proof of my kids taking his name etc.

The agent took one look at the folders and said "I don't need any of that". She only asked a few questions about how and when we met,  confirmed address,  social security numbers and full names.

She told us she was recommending us for approval and gave us a sheet marked the same and said to watch for certified mail with the new green card within next few weeks.

    Hello,

Anyone with National Benefit Center got their Interview scheduled yet? Our case was updated on May 22nd. It says "As of May 22, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number XXXXXXX, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice." We haven't received anything in the mail yet.

Please let me know if anyone received anything.

    Thanks.

Yes!  We are scheduled July 2 for interview.

Man I am happy for you, dont get me wrong,

I have got to move to Cali for my job and everything is on hold for this interview, I might even lose that job.

I only wished field offices didnt have anything with interview date.

Mine, Vegas, is the top 10 slowest of all.

You are in a tough situation!!  Really hoping it speeds up for you and you get your interview date soon.

I know source of that frustration my friend, chel0524 got interview date while he filed after you, I filed around same time.

I just want all of us to get interview date same manner he did.

of course it depends to how backlogged our local office are , but I want to blv NBC has authority over them and push'em to schedule according to their time frame.

Lot going on with each of us...

LOL!  I'm sorry we're causing your frustration!  I really hope you all hear something soon.  Ours seems to have moved very, very quickly.  I'm sure you'll hear any day.

I just realized that if having a CR-1 visa means faster ROC processing, that could be another pro vs. con when it comes to those deciding about CR-1 vs. K-1.

We chose this direction because it felt like the most "legal" way to do it.  It was the most straightforward way  to go.  We spend a year apart after we got married waiting for approval, but it was worth it.

My understanding was that the National Benefits Center really just prepared the files for your N-400 process which takes place at your local office.  Are these I-751s only or is everyone filed N-400 also?

I-751 only.  We're not eligible to file N-400 until January.  My thinking is that all of these, like ours, that are moving so swiftly are all cr-1 cases where they are pretty cut and dry.  No adjustment of status or fiancé visas involved.

When did you file your ROC? How long did you have to wait for your status to change to this?

We filed early March.  Did biometrics on April 20 ( if I remember correctly.  It's in my timeline). It changed a few weeks ago to ready to be scheduled for interview.  Just changed over the last few days to has been scheduled for interview.

Ok guys,  yet another update.  Interview notice received in today's mail.  Interview date is July 2 and it says spouse should come with.
