Congrats if you don’t mind sharing what you submitted and what the requested in the RFE

    Thank you!

Well, I sent them the wrong tax information which wasn't enough proof since it had no evidence it was received by the IRS. I didn't really bother with credit card statements either. We have the same credit cards so I thought sending a copy of just the cards should be enough. Also, I was pregnant at the time I sent the application and all I had was a letter from my doctor. To make a long story short.. I just didn't go above and beyond (like I did when I first started the process).

All in all, I was just tired of proving my relationship to strangers just to be able to live here. That's what got me the RFE. I was annoyed at that, but not too worried and took my sweet time to get the information they wanted.

In the letter they gave me a summary of what I handed in (which was good, because I didn't even make copies of the packet) and examples of what they needed to support those documents.

    So...

    1. We asked the IRS for transcripts

    2. I requested 3 random credit card statements for the years we've been married

    3. Sent a copy of a new life insurance policy

    4. A copy of our child's birth certificate

    5. Plane tickets from this summer's vacation, visiting my family

    6. 2 pictures of our daughter's christening

They received my response on November 1st and approved the case on November 26th.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I have to vent right now....

Got an RFE the other day..as if I didn't have anything better to do than proving my more than legit marriage 🙄🙄🙄

We don't have a joint bank account because....well, because we just didn't do it and it doesn't make sense to me to run to the bank right now and have my hubby add me to his account. They'll see the date and think this is bull..

I'm a stay at home mom and live off of my husband anyway. I spend the money..he pays the bills.

I wish I could call and tell them to **** off 🤐🙄

Vermont too.  My case isn't even online but I called today and they said the system update might take another 2 weeks but not to worry, no mistakes or flags but they still have another 212 days to work on it.  Sigh.

212 days????? Wait, what am I missing? When did you file?

Never mind - I just checked...I'm still confused though. I keep getting updates from vj for the processing times and it says mine should be done somewhere in October 2019. Not that this is a definite, it's just an estimate but still...nowhere near another 212 days 😳🤔

  4. Is anybody here that filed at the Vermont center? Case # starting with EAC..

My status has no update at all and I filed 7/30/18. I couldn't do anything online either because it wouldn't let me. I'm still within processing times 🙄

When I called uscis and mentioned that I don't even see my biometrics being completed, the lady couldn't or didn't want to tell me anything other than my application is still in process.

Ugh...this is so annoying and frustrating.

    Hello,

I submitted everything beginning of August and received a NOA1 for 18 months on August 30. We've been trying to get pregnant but without success at that time; however we are now expecting a little one for the end of june.

Do you think it's possible to send the documentation related to the birth next summer, and if so how can I be sure it will be added to our folder or shall we just stay put and submit it only if we are asked for more evidence?

    Thanks for your input!

Hi there and congrats to you.

I wouldn't do anything. They are so busy right now.. I'd be worried they put it in someone else's profile 😋

Just wait and see if you get a ref. Maybe you had enough supporting evidence that you get approved without any additional paperwork.

    Relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

Thank you!!! Your response made my day!!!! 😀 The form I submitted is updated & will expire in 2019. But I am just worrying about the inconsistency of my dates lol If they will start the counting when they received my packet meaning I am still in 90 days 🤩🤩🤩 I am just wondering why its been a week now and the check hasnt been cashed out yet.

Probably because someone else is processing your application and they are not as fast 😉

Seriously, give it a few more days. It's not even been a week yet. I wouldn't stress over it. Although, I got annoyed too watching everyone getting an noa within 7-10 days and mine was nowhere in sight. Turned out it there was a very good reason for this. 😜

I'm sure you'll get yours soon.

I just reviewed mine & it looks like I did not write anything on the memo. Do you think, will I be in trouble? I havent received my Noa nor check encash yet! Also the check is dated on 17th August. I think Im in trouble.. so my cover letter is dated- 8/18/2018 and the signed I751 form date was 8/16/2018 but I checked the 90 day calculator for filing and the earliest date I should file is on 19th August 2018. Anyone of you did the same?!! But my packet arrived in CS in August 20, 2018. Any comments on this?

I think you're fine. Who cares when you prepare the package as long as they receive it within the 90 days 😉 ... and with the correct expiration date on the form 😏😂

I totally get it !! Wasted 3 weeks! But you want it go back home next year which is LUCKY. I'm trying to go home as soon as I get my NOA  :(

    I can't travel after 7 months of pregnancy 😢

I tried calling them everyday and keep telling me the same thing "be patience" and then I asked if I should send another application and they said no..... I need to see my mom who's sick :( theythey wont stamp my passport until the application is on the system...  been crying nearly everyday lol

    Wow, sorry to hear that.

I know how emotional it can get. I'm in the same boat and I'm blaming my mistake and forgetfulness on the baby. 😜😅

Give it a few more days. If they say to wait, there is nothing you can do about it and worrying crazy isn't good for you two.

Hmm what was the date on the form?

The expiration date was sometime in 2017 and it's not like I missed it by a few weeks either.. 🤔

Omg omg what!! How old is old????  And what does that mean???  I haven't recieved mine for 3 weeks toooo!!

Yeah, my first reaction was F**********CK 😳😳😳, now it's more like 🙄🙄🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

It's just annoying that precious time has been wasted since I plan to go home next year.

I thought I downloaded the correct form before filling it out... or did I use the one I saved on my computer a while ago? I really don't remember.

Oh well, all it means is that I have to resubmit everything again. I'll do it first thing Monday and hope for the best.

Try not to panic yet! Yours could have a different reason for the delay. Did you try calling them?

I totally feel like QUALITY of proof is preferred for USCIS officers. I would be pissed if I got a 500+ page application to review ha ha! Mine was 130 pages, but a lot of it was to support why we do our finances separately, things like that.

I know, right? I would probably not even review all of it 😜 130 pages seems a lot too. Now I'm curious how many I had..never counted and didn't make copies either. I have my cover page so I know what I put in, but I refused to waste more paper on copies.

I have put a lot of work in the previous applications and figured this time I will only provide what they ask, nothing extra...and all those additional copies we were 'supposed' to make for all the applications.. never needed it (maybe one copy of the 'important' stuff for my own reference) that's it.

    So, we shall see...

  11. I got my Greencard on Saturday.

I was so happy this was all finally over for at least a year and a half, but then..

The country of birth on my GC says Usa instead of Belgium (their mistake, I wrote it right on all my forms)!! So now I am stuck in this hell for a few more months...

I am guessing atm that our best option is to make an infopass appointment to get a stamp in my passport so I can keep driving and look for a job, and then send my greencard back with a I-90 form...

    What do you guys suggest?

Hey, sorry to hear that they screwed up :(

I'm glad all my information is correct on the card...that would've been a pain right before I go home (which is tomorrow) :dancing:

Anyway, don't worry about it. You should get a stamp in you passport. It's the same as having a gc except it's only valid for 6 months. By that time you should have the card in your hand. Just make sure you bring the approval notice. If you want to double check with uscis you should do it, but make sure you get a competent person on the phone. Some of them just don't know what they are talking about!!

Good luck!! Hope you don't have to wait too long for a new card.

  12. Yes buzz xxxxxx. .........so happy for you. I've been trying to stay busy but no movement on the 485 since Aug 24th when they received my rfie for using an out of date form..

.fingers crossed for you to get it in hand soon.

Thank you chrisete! I got my gc in the mail today and going home on Wednesday

Hope November will be your month. I'll keep my fingers crossed :)
