Yes, I got the approval notice before my status was updated online. So I don't know what's up

I got my EAD/AP one week after approval (it was approved on August 27th and I got it on Sep 3rd)

Mine was approved August 29th. Online status is still on 'case approved' and the card nowhere near my mailbox

You guys, congrats to all of you who received AOS approval and EAD cards in mail. I'm so preoccupied worshiping the ??? and practicing vodoo on the USCIS right now that I totally forgot to give you my thumbs up :thumbs:

WOOT!!! Super happy today, we have our interview date for Oct 14th SSN should arrive any day now then I need to reassemble the tree file with extra bits and bobs. Our Son dropped a full sippy on to my old laptop and killed the hard drive so I have to redo it all. But it's something to do to keep me busy til then.

Oh, Simon, make sure they have your zip code correct. They tried to send us to Idaho Falls for biometrics cause they had the zip code wrong.

Hey buzz223 and ROSA63 don;t get discourage my receipt date is 6/13/16 nothing changed on my case either until day 76 when my ead was approved my aos was stuck on fingerprint fee received until changed to approve so look at the bright side you might just see your status change to approve........be strong and hold the faith

I'm OK for now...refusing to look at my cases though because I should get a text or email if something changes. So I'm sticking to the plan 'do not check the online status'

I'm in the same boat. It's been 104 days now since they received my AOS/EAD/AP application and my AOS is stuck in Fingerprint Fee Received. No soft touches or anything. I don't know if i should call them or not. I'm getting so frustrated now. I hope i get some updates soon.

I think you should call them too. You have nothing to lose. Though, don't be discouraged when you hear: your case looks good, we don't need more evidence, your case is under review, it could take somewhere from 3 to 8 months to have a decision.... bla, bla, bla, bla, blaaaaaaaaa ?

Your case sounds so much like ours, no rfe/rfie and it just sits in received status. Ours was approved for Janice 93 days after it was received, so I am thinking yours will be soon and he probably just said it looks good because they didn't want to say they got a few 1000s cases in front of yours to make it sound like it'd be a few more years and instead will get approved in like a week or two

Ugh, maybe..maybe not. I just decided to give myself a break from stressing over this.

Finally I spoke to a tier 2. There's no positive news on my case yet. My i485 is still under review. No additional evidence is needed and it looks 'good' (whatever that's supposed to mean) but who knows how much longer I have to wait.

As to my EAD status...all I can say is 'pffff' the card is not even in production!

Whatever...I am no longer going to check my status like a maniac, but wait until I receive a message (yeah, right!)

since it is almost 24 hours after ead approval and my ap hasn't gotten updated, would a tier 2 officer be able to tell me if I have been approved on my ap and they just haven't updated it? I'm just ready to buy my plane tickets but knowing my lick I would buy my tickets and then get my AP denied next week for some goofy reason. So I don't know if I should call tomorrow, or wait for my EAD to arrive in the mail, and then call a tier 2 if it doesn't have ap on it as well? but then I might not get my AP in time? ahhhhhh

I'd call them now if I were you..I'm sure they can tell you something.

Thank you buzz223 i don't want to start celebrating because my ead was mailed 9/2/16 and went to a different city it is still at the post office so now i'm waiting for the actual card before the celebration starts........Just so you know the updates are a bit late at times so don't rely on it too much my i-485 was still saying fingerprint fee received even after i got my approval letter which came as a surprise because i didn't do any interview and my package was received 6/12/16 so who knows.....you might have gotten approved and don't even know

On another note... the comments about camping or being stuck to the mailbox crack me up every time ?

Hi guys another update on my case my EAD was mailed on the 9/2/16 and on the 9/6/16 my status was saying my card was delivered to me however the tracking number i got tracked it to a different post office then on the night of 9/6/16 it changed to card was mailed so this morning 9/8/16 i called asked to speak to a level 2 person....they called me back around 15mins after the gentleman was so professional and patient so he told me that the system showed my card is at the post office in a different city however he then said i don't even need that anymore because my green card was mailed this morning 9/8/16 i am happy but trying to stay calm until it's in my hand ( once bitten twice shy ) now my question is how long will it take for me to get it

Your news made me pick up the phone and call too. All I see online since the last update on 09/06 is that EAD & AP got approved on 08/29 and nothing since then. My question is when will the card be mailed to me? (Secretly, I'm hoping I get good news about my i485)

Quick question: my status got updated today to 'case was approved'. How long do I have to wait for the status to change to 'new card produced', 'card sent' .... until I get the card in my mail?

We called To ask why the cases aren't updating online or the phone, the lady said it is bc it updates once the approval letter is sent out which I do not think that's accurate info bc many have received approval letters and nothing has updated. Not sure what's going on in their system. We asked for AOS and she said we are still within processing time she looked up processing time for my local office and she said they are working on cases filed in November for my local office which is exactly what I see online so it could take another 9 months until we hear from them in regards to the AOS ?

Never mind what they said. They told me the same thing - that my case was within the regular processing time and they're currently working on Oktober 2015.

Whatever! If you really want to know what's up ask for a tier 2. I'm pretty sure you'll get the approval sooner than that!

I finally got an SMS that my case has been updated online..basically that EAD & AP were approved. That's almost a week later.

I was kinda hoping the text was about my i485. So, no real new news. :S

Called to USCIS today and they didn't know much about the EAD...said we needed to wait 2 more days lol

However.....

I asked the wife to ask about the i485 and it was approved on 02SEP16!! Finally some good news for her! :)

Online status was not updated though lol still fingerprint received.

I filed a SR on 24aug then on 26aug it was completed, I've heard nothing other than receiving an email stating that they will process or have a notice of action shortly....today i am at day 95 from the receive date listed on the NOA and their website. We received no rfe/rfie - I am having the wife call Tuesday first thing and ask WTH is going on.

So I don't think a SR can hurt but it definitely may or may not get your EAD sooner as you can see some get theirs while others wait weeks on end still.

Yeah, your particular case really sucks! I'd be so annoyed at this point. Definitely call them, you are beyond the normal processing time and they need to get their stuff together.

Uff...that's a good question. I have absolutely no idea if it sped up the process or if it was a coincidence. The SR was Monday, Thursday I received the approval for my EAD & AP, and Friday I got the letter regarding the SR that my case is under review. So I have no idea what to think...in the end it doesn't really matter because I got the approval..so definitely go for it

P.S. my online status still hasn't changed!

tonight after 12 I am officially at day 76 which means I can do a service request. what did you put as last progress on the case? the status your case shows? or the date of your biometrics? or the last soft touch? the biometrics and last soft touch were less than 60 days ago so I worry that I will be told it hasn't been long enough if I mention those. should I just put the received date as last update on my case?

I put down the date they received my case. Others mentioned the biometric date too. So it's really up to you, but the date of your case is the one that you'll be counting from. So you're good to go.

FYI:

I just received my confirmation letter for the SR I filed on Monday stating that my case is currently under review.

I received the confirmation AFTER my EAD & AP approval notice.

Ok, so I signed up at USPS.com and received a text message that something was picked up by Shipping Partner, USPS Awaiting Item INDIANAPOLIS, IN... I didn't order or expect anything. Is it possible that the combo card is on the way???

That is the sweet part of myUSPS, you register with your home address, and then it notifies you if some package is sent to your address.

You have a dashboard of all the packages, even if you did not receive a tracking number. You can know the tracking number from the dashboard.

Needless to say, this works only for USPS packages.

We got the combo card one day after the notice.

If you have a myUSPS account, you can actually see and track the package there.

Not if you don't have a tracking #, right? Or is there something on the approval notice you can track it with?

Her Green Card just arrived! Very happy, very relieved to have a break for a couple years, and very grateful to the VJ community. The guides and discussions made the whole process much easier.
