  1. That's great news Buzzz!!

As every morning, I checked my status on the I-485 again this morning as well. And My I-485 was also approved today!

But when I log in on my uscis now it gives me an error so other than "card is being produced" I have no idea what is going on.

I have not gotten a text or an e-mail yet either, although I have been approved since this morning..

Oh wow awesome!! I wish I had checked my status before I left the house... could've saved me a trip to Manhattan :P:D

  2. Ok, so I had my info pass appointment today. The lady was very nice (thank God! I almost expected someone with a ' I don't give a sh**' attitude).
I told her that it's been 2 months since my EAD and AP approval but still no card. The case status changed to 'new card being produced' a few days before today's interview.
She said since it is in production now I should get it soon. I could tell she saw information on her computer and was very careful how to tell me without 'telling' me.
Also, they just received my fingerprints back!...and when I say 'just' I mean 10/24!!! Btw.. I had my biometrics appointment 3 1/2 months ago. I also asked her about my i485, if I can expect an interview soon.. and again she looked as if she knew something but couldn't really tell me. All she said that someone is working on my case and I could receive the gc sooner than later -> key word 'could'.
When I got home I made a few phone calls and decided to check if anything at all changed in my online case status.
Lo and behold there was an update and it was my i485 saying 'card is being produced'. No interview (yaayyy!!)
Looks like today was the day I was supposed to get approved, even if I didn't have the infopass appointment. :)

When it comes to the text message notification...didn't get one so far.

I'll be checking my status every 15min now :D I wonder how long it'll take them this time so send out a card :clock: It's not over yet... :pop:

  3. I'm sorry to hear that Buzzz? I'd have thought they'd have sorted it long before now. I wouldn't follow their online dates too much, honestly, our field office says it's still processing March O.o I really hope you get results soon hon. *hugs*

Thanks! Yeah, after 2 months one would think the card would've arrived by now!?

And no, I don't really follow their online dates at all. It doesn't make sense since they don't ever update anything!

I'm just so tired dealing with it..

well, our field office still processing the case from October last year if it can make you guys feel better :( :(

    Pffff...don't even bother looking!!!
  4. Feels like I might as well have just not been approved. My landlord has had my free card in his possession since Monday and our current address and hasn't bothered to mail it to me. He said this afternoon that his wife would mail it TOMORROW!!! I could cry this is so fricken stressful ?

Don't be upset! At least you know where it is or who has it. No excuse though. He should've contacted you right away. Not like it doesn't say 'immigration' on the envelope and this is usually pretty important information, but hey....what does he care, right?!

Anyway, it'll only be a couple more days. You'll have it by next week and then you can relax ?

Unlike you, i haven't even received my EAD yet! My info pass appointment is this coming Friday. Though, I lost all my faith in USCIS and their processes and don't think anything will happen anytime soon.

  5. Aaaah this proces is sooo frustrating  I'm not sure how long my job offer will be available, as the employer keeps contacting me to see if I have news :( Plus I still don't have a SSN (due to mistakes they made at the social security office in South Carolina), so if it really takes up to 60 days for the EAD/AP card to be mailed then I still can't get a driver license or bank account :ranting:

I cannot agree more!!! After my approval on 08/29 the status hasn't changed for almost 2 months. Now I'm on card being produced. I wonder how long that will take now :clock:

  6. Ugh.... how frustrating is that?! I am sooooo beyond annoyed, it's not even funny anymore. I looked at your profile before and almost started to blame their negligence on the country we came from  but I ran into more cases like ours. Something's up with USCIS. They changed a lot of rules all of a sudden... like the EAD production from 30 to 60 days. We seemed to have been drawn into the pool of unfortunate suckers still waiting for their EAD where as others were lucky enough to get a long time ago.

Also, it took me FOREVER to get an info pass appointment in NYC, which is this coming Friday.

Should I still go? My status has been updated to 'card being produced' (not that I'll receive the card within 10 days is a definite), but that was the reason for me to make that appointment.

Even though, a lot of people before and after me have already received their GC, I'm still within the 'normal processing time'.. so I can't really ask questions about my I485.

Suggestions......anyone? I just don't know what to do anymore.... :crying::help:

  7. I've been off of here for a minute. My wife's everything got approved she got her EAD and GC then applied for her social security and got it like a week ago...... She applied for a discover credit card and was approved with 0 credit history. It's been a really busy month for us.... Just looking for all kinds of jobs every kind of place...... I hope everyone gets approved on this forum.... It's been a loong time of uncertainty and sometimes almost hopelessness but she made it through. We made it.... Now onto the journey for a 10 year GC.

    Congrats to you guys!!

Though, very discouraging for someone like me to see people who applied a little or some even much later but received their card(s) already or a long time ago.

This is how screwed up the system is.

Oh well, not like I want to go home for my grandma's 90th birthday in two weeks..

Good luck on the job hunt. I hope she finds something fun soon! :)

  8. Same here. I'm stuck on "new card is produced" since the 14th. I received approval notice by mail only for the AP. I called. They said now it's 60 days instead of 30. Hopefully we get it sooner than later ?

Wait, what?? I thought I'm pretty much the last one with this bs. I didn't want to get all excited because I thought you never know...this status might get stuck too. Now you're telling me you're stuck since the 14th?

    Uuugh, this is soooooo frustrating!!

  9. It has quiet down tremendously on this side..probably because most of you I startet out with have their papers already sorted out.

    Good for you!!!

Well, my case was updated to 'new card is being produced' today (FINALLY - 56 days after my initial EAD approval and 26 days after my 2nd SR). All in all it's still ridiculous and I'm annoyed.

Nevertheless, I really hope that this time I get the card without further delays.

I might not have to go to the info pass appointment on Friday anymore...which btw was a pain in the rear to get.

Anyway, that's my news for today.

  10. OMG this whole AOS process is a disaster! For all of you that have doubts or questions about processing time, here is a quick update to my status:

    NONE WHATSOEVER!!!!

Approval date for EAD & AP is 8/29

One would think a month and a half is enough time to send out a card, right?! Pffffff....my card hasn't even been produced yet, nor has my SR from 9/29 been assigned to an officer.

I called last week about it, they told me a story to call back in a week or two. I did today and they escalated it again. So here I am....still waiting...

I finally managed to schedule a info pass appointment in Philadelphia. To even think you can get one in NYC...yeah right. Will keep checking though.

  11. You can go here http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/ , enter your zip code to find who is the congressman in your district. I just called them up and explained why am I seeking their help. The person took my contact information and moments later I received the privacy release form and the email I had to send it to. I filled it out and sent it. I never received anything back until a week later they called me they had an update on my case.

    Thank you!!
  12. Oh don't you worry. After a second RFIE they started working on my case again TODAY. So supposedly it should be another 90 days, but I put an expedited request before receiving the second RFIE so we'll see if that'll make it go faster. I also contacted my congressman and I received a call that USCIS should respond to me by the end of this month regarding my expedited. So we are in the same boat. Case received since June 21st. ?? fingers crossed for a result ASAP for everyone ??

How do you contact your congressman? I just checked it briefly online but am curious about it. Where do I go to read up on it and get the info I need?
  13. I did SR online, and they sent me a response that told me the clock of 765 will be set to day one since the received my response. The letter just ask me to wait for another 90 days. :crying:

Ugh, this really sucks! Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I just don't know enough about the 'clock ticking starting over process' so I can't give you any advise to make you feel better. :(
  14. At least you got your APPROVE letters. I have nothing...I am very very depress about it.... I searched the 100 cases around me. Guess what? I am the only one have my 765 on case received. all others got their case either approved or mailed.

Have you tried calling them or do a SR online? I got approved almost instantly after my SR, but since then nothing happened. So it's still very frustrating and I understand how you feel.

I don't know what is going on with them at this point...

  15. I'm so sorry, Buzzz and know exactly how frustrated you are! I had my infopass appointment today and received some gamechanging information!

    1. The officer handling my case at the NSC apparently made a mistake and never "pushed" the production of my EAD after approving my case. I.e. basically, to them my case is considered closed and they haven't even noticed that I haven't received the EAD -- in spite of several calls to customer service, tier 2 officer and service request (all of which assured me my case is fine and I need to be patient). So without this infopass visit, I probably could have waited for months until they would finally put me through to someone with actual information. The field officer was very nice and she sent the NSC an e-mail to rectify the situation but said that it could still take a while, because they are very unresponsive and she has no way of reaching them directly.

She also said verbatim: "Don't get me started on the customer service. They have no idea what they're talking about. All they do is spread misinformation....do not waste your time calling them."

So Buzzz, I highly encourage you to get an infopass appointment to talk to someone in person. Who knows if it really helps to speed things up, but at least you know what the problem is. Check out service centers in cities nearby (Philly? Boston?) if NYC is booked out. That's what I did and though I'm totally exhausted after this day -- it was worth the drive and traffic.

    2. The field officer also told me that since my EAD has been approved since September 8 and I am showing as approved in the system I can LEGALLY START WORKING WITHOUT THE PHYSICAL CARD with the information I've got. Receipt number etc. She said employers can check your status in the "E-Verify" System to get verification that you are legal. I couldn't really believe that, since I've read everywhere you need the physical card and even HR of the organization that offered me a job said they can't get me started without the card. But I just spoke to their HR department again and apparently it's true. So, I'm going in tomorrow to settle the details.

One more thing, the officer I spoke to also said that my AOS case just got passed on from the NSC and that all branch offices are completely focused on naturalizations before the new administration moves in. So I shouldn't expect an interview before February 2017. So one more reason for me to get that advance parole moving...

Anyway, good luck everyone with their cases! This process is so tiring!

Wow, thanks so much for your input!! This definitely helps and I hope things will finally get moving for us. Though I could rant on and on and about about the incompetence of some of those idiots working at the USCIS.

As to the info pass...I was trying to schedule one this morning and even got an appointment, but as soon as I was finished filling out all the information I got a message that the appointment was not available anymore.

    Ugh....again..ridiculous! I'll keep trying though.

Let us know if anything changes for you. I'm a really tired of bi**** about the same thing over and over, but I will post as soon as I get news about anything.

Good luck to all of us..
