buzzz223 I just brought a proof of a joint account with my wife, the rent lease in our name and a electricity bill and nothing else...the interview did not take more than 15 minutes and we spent most of the time talking about the weather, so don't worry it is gonna be easy

I thought about this whole 'proof of evidence' thing a few times... what if I wanted my own bank account? The house we live in is my mother-in-laws and my husband is paying her rent. So we don't even have a lease or electricity bill All we have is a phone bill in my name and that is because I had to figure out a way how to get my DL. In the end I just renewed my old one which expired in 2009 ... realizing too late I could've done that a long time ago now I still need to change it to a NY license which I can't quite yet because I need my EAD .... and bla, bla, bla.... I think the NYS Law is the biggest pain in the rear to get a DL or any sort of ID.

Anyway, I'm not too worried about it... I'll show them whatever they want to see.

Oh ok... the EAD approval may have gotten seperated from the AP or send out a bit later. Though I got both of them today they came in a separate envelope... so you could get the EAD tomorrow

But nothing on the EAD

I just had my AOS interview and i got approved, how long does it take to get my green card in the mail?

Did you bring a copy of the AOS application to the interview? ... and what else?

I didn't bother making all the copies of my application like they said we should Only because I didn't need ANYTHING at all at my K-1 interview. So I simply decided not waste more paper than necessary. I did make notes of what I send in just in case.

So.... I called customer service earlier today and basically since we had an RFiE the whole application has been reset to day one from the time they received my response. Talk about frustration in my home....... I've never felt so much pressure for anything in my life. I I feel for my wife. The look on her face just killed me inside but I am supposed to be strong for her....

This really sucks!!! Hang in there though, it could go faster than they told you. Be positive and call them again in a couple of weeks just to check on things.

I hope it's sooner too because I'll be camping beside the mail box until it comes in lol

You guys...who cares! It is 2 years from now. Be happy about this interview being waved, look forward to what's coming next and worry about the future later ? if you have to go you'll go, if not even better!! ?

I'm glad a lot of us received good news today. Stay positive though(same goes for muccapino) you might receive another update very shortly and after that the cards.

I think we should just ignore the website as good as we can for now. Even after receiving the approval by mail my status still hasn't changed. Who knows if and when it will! I'm not worried about it anymore. What I need to focus on right now is my resume...ugh, that'll definitely keep me busy for a while ?

We are all in the same situation.. . I just hope the online status and email are not up to date and our permits are on the mail already!!!

That could very well be the case! Keep checking your status, but you might actually receive your card in the mail before anything changes online.

Oh that's awesome... At least you got a letter!!! Hope you get the cards soon

Awesome news! Hoping we get that same today. I believe I saw some others posting they got letters today also but no status updates online. Asked the wife to go check the mail later hehe

Btw, the approval date is the day I did the SR online. Coincidence? Who knows..

Hey all.. just a quick info for those (including me) who were wondering about approval, SR's and why we haven't heard anything...

So I just received 2 letters stating that EAD & AP was approved and will be send separately.

Nothing has changed online. I'm still on fingerprint fee received and all. So I guess the site is indeed not really working!

My initial email appears it was automatic saying that to expect a respond by 9/22 and if we didn't hear from them to call. But the next day I got an update email stating that the travel document was approved (mind you I didn't inquire about it, just the EAD) and that the AP and the EAD combo card was going to be mailed at the address on file. The website has not been updated indicating that the case was approved. I wonder if the maintenance done the night before crashed and never updated correctly and people are approved but nothing shows. I am sure if I didn't do a SR it would had been approved and nothing showing.

But let's not lose hope. My husband need card at hand to be able to work so until then I am holding my breath

Thanks, this does feel a little better. I'm sure you you know how it is...we all have good and bad days. This isn't the worst day, but it is one of the more frustrating ones. Tomorrow will be better again.

I got an en email right after i sent it. And a response The next morning that My AP was approved snd that The AP/EAD combo card was going To be mailed. I did it at The 75th day from receipt. in The last action taken I indicated the date of biometrics

Well, I don't think I'll get an email anymore. I did the SR on monday and it was completed the same day...whatever that's supposed to mean. So now I'm waiting for a letter by mail...or something.

Pinbak I do the same thing, l look at cases similar to mine and I try to think that I am not the only one and sometimes this makes the stress more bearable...

Most of the cases approved without an interview went directly from Fingerprint fee received to approved. But I am not sure about it.

Yep, I look at cases similar to mine too. Though, I must admit I do get a little frustrated and annoyed when I find someone applying much later but getting approved shortly after ??...and here I am sitting and waiting and hoping, watching absolutely nothing changing in my case....well, at least I'm not the only one. Definitely makes me feel better ?

What would really be awesome is the website is just stuck on some bogus status and we actually have the cards in the mail on the way!!!

Hey guys, anybody know how long it takes to get mail after putting in a SR? I never received an email or text message, so I kinda assume I will get a letter by mail.

My case has been looked at and completed, that's it...

Oooooh I am so impatient. I want my status to change too ?

mine was stuck on day 76 but after the SR it changed to new card is being produced within a week, so hold tight and hopefully it will come soon! I know how it feels because we received and RFIE and it felt horrible to say the least.

Everyday I checked and it still wasn't assigned to an officer then on day 91 my status changed to card in production but my SR still said "not yet assigned to an officer"... My current status still says it wasn't assigned to an officer not that it matters anymore but it goes to show your documents still get approved even if your case status doesn't update accordingly

Deep down that is exactly what I'm hoping for. I just don't want to think about it too much to avoid the disappointment in case I have to wait forever.

I called them on day 75 and did it online (day 90) yesterday. I'm starting to think they're ignoring my application on purpose, too! Maybe try giving them a call and letting them know you haven't received any kind of confirmation?

I'm trying to be patient (which is really hard) but I did get a 'confirmation' under my EAD case online. So I will wait a few more days hoping to skip the interview and all..and get the GC per super Express Mail tomorrow ??

That's us too, but we got the email lol - wife checked the mail today and still no NOA for the SR...so we are at a loss, we are on day 90 of EAD and others about a week or so past our received date have gotten approve or received their EAD.

Oh...I just checked the website and found 3 messages to my SR: 1) ... inquiry was assigned 2) ...response sent 3) ...inquiry completed

So, even though I didn't get a confirmation email looks like somebody did something. I'd love to know what though.

My wife is in the same boat as you guys...did SR got the email it was being looked at while online it says completed and this was last Friday and nothing so far, shortly must be a few weeks haha
