Our N400 was approved on 10/28/2020, after contacting our Senator for assistance with our I751 (also approved on the 28th). Our oath is scheduled for December. So glad this process is almost finally over!

When we went to N400 interview, Mount Laurel claimed to "not have our I751" or even know anything about its whereabouts, and our N400 couldn't move forward. Mount Laurel and USCIS were both absolutely no help, at all. We finally decided contacted Senator Bookers office for assistance. Two days later our I751 was approved after two years and N400 scheduled for oath.

The entire email exchanged between the senators office and USCIS was sent to us... the I751 was there the entire time, they lied straight to our face and got us all worked up over it being lost. Our I751 was listed as "pending review" with the officer assigned to it for over a year! And the liasion stated she would "let the officer know about the inquiry and encourage the officer to make a decision within 60 days"... So happy this is almost finally over.

On Monday we got a call from the Mount Laurel, NJ field office cancelling our infopass appointment for ADIT stamp because they said we had an interview scheduled within 30 days and didn’t want people in the office if it wasn’t necessary due to Covid. Today the account updated with the letter and my husbands interview is on 9/24/2020 (which happens to be our 4th wedding anniversary). We were totally not expecting an interview any time soon or even this year,

Our interview has finally been scheduled for 9/24/20 in Mount Laurel, NJ, combo with N400. At that time the I751 will have been pending for over 21 months.

We were informed only my husband will be allowed into the interview for I751/N400 due to Covid guidelines, they’re not even going to interview us together so idk why this couldn’t have been approved months or years ago.

On Monday we were called and told not to go to infopass appointment because the we had been scheduled an interview and wouldn't need a stamp. The interview will be on 09/24/2020. We applied in December 2019.

Here’s what worked for us, we called many times too. Call the number and when it says “I understand full sentences” say “ADIT stamp”. You’ll wait 30+ mins and when they answer ask if they’re tier 2, the girl told us yes she was. Tell them you need extension for proof of status and tell them you need a drivers license to drive to work or you’ll face financial hardship. They’ll ask if you have proof, just say yes and they’ll say someone will call you back.

The officer who called back didn’t ask any questions and just scheduled the appointment. The first few times we called they said we didn’t have an emergency either with the drivers license. The DMV should’ve sent you a letter stating they won’t renew without proof of status. If you don’t have that email the DMV and they’ll send you an email stating the same. Use that as the “documentation” for asking for a stamp that they say you need.

We talked to some RUDE people at USCIS regarding a stamp and them saying it wasn’t an emergency, but seriously how would they like it to lose their drivers license or not be able to find new employment if they wanted to. Keep trying and don’t give up until someone gives you an appointment.

My husbands estimated completion date was July 2020 and well that didn’t happen. Perhaps you’re getting a more honest estimate, atleast that’s better than getting your hopes up all month for nothing to happen at all, but I do agree it’s absolutely ridiculous.

Case inquiry from yesterday, does temporarily delaying interviews mean they’re not scheduling right now?

My husband is waiting for an interview at Mount Laurel too. He did a case inquiry on his I751 yesterday that’s still pending in Mount Laurel, they got back to us that “scheduling interview is temporarily delayed due to Covid 19”.

    Very helpful information, thank you!

Now the estimated wait time for my case steps into the same maze of " We are taking longer than expected to process your case" and nobody knows how much longer, I am pretty much in the same boat as your husband now.

Good luck to all of us! Please keep us posted. Thank you.

If you were a Vermont filer put in a service inquiry, the date out of normal processing time is well into February 2019 now. I’ve put in two already and after both they updated the n400. After the first inquiry they finally acknowledged receipt of RFE and after the second a few days ago the n400 changed to we are actively reviewing the case. The service responses always state the i751 is in line with n400 for an interview, so yeah we regret applying together too, but obviously we didn’t expect Covid to happen. completion date is still July 2020 in mount laurel so 20 days will tell, but I have a feeling in 30 days we’ll have to start harassing uscis for an infopass appointment...

The process is beyond frustrating, they’ve left us all clueless. Sometimes I feel like immigration services completely fell through but they’re not telling us.

I751 has been pending since December 2018 with no updates since this January, service request gave no new info. N400 pending since December 2019. Extension letter running out soon and I hear people have to jump through hoops to get proof of status after it expires to continue their lives.

My husbands N400 completion date says July 2020, that’s an even bigger joke. You might have a chance for November, but July? Definitely, not happening Good luck!

My husbands NJ driver license expires the day the extension expires. It’s so frustrating not to have a clue about what to do in this situation and upsetting that USCIS appears not to care about how this is disrupting people’s lives. A drivers license here is imperative to employment imo. They conveniently don’t do infopass, now that they’re needed most?

Some advice from experience, call uscis and ask to speak to a tier 2 employee or higher (you’ll likely wait longer but it’s worth it). The people who initially answer the phone pretty much read from a script and won’t give you any actual answers.

It specifically asked for all the documents uploaded online originally to be resubmitted in paper form and sent to the Mount Laurel office. It didn’t say why. It also asked for birth certificates of children, 2 affidavits from family saying we’ve been married for 3 years and in good faith. We don’t have children so we just wrote a short statement that we didn’t and both signed it.

They didn’t ask for, but I also included recent joint bank statement, our new lease, and our  NJ licenses (being we moved from out of state right after filing N400).

Case status changed today to “On June 24, 2020 request for additional evidence has been received.”

Also, estimated completion date came back as July 2020 (not that I hold any faith in that date, but it’s on there again) and at the bottom it says all evidence submitted.

This evidence was submitted a month and a half ago, hopefully this means they’re getting closer to scheduling interviews again in NJ.

Received a response from USCIS about I751 being out of normal processing time... “your case is at the Mount Laurel, NJ office and is currently in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your case will remain at this step depends upon the number of cases ahead of yours. We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your patience.”

So nothing new from case inquiry.
