JessieABC got a reaction from jackiegringa in Processing Times (I-751) for MSC (National Benefits Center)
if it makes you feel any better, I filed in October 2019 and received an RFE earlier this year as well asking for evidence from date of marriage till now lol
Good news is, it seems approval is fast if you send in what was requested. This was my timeline after the RFE:
03-27-2023: USCIS Requested additional evidence "as it has been several years since you've submitted this petition" 05-13-2023: Sent RFE response via USPS certified Priority mail 05-17-2023: USCIS received RFE packet 05-19-2023: USCIS case status updated to “New Card is Being Produced" 05-22-2023: USCIS case status updated to “Case Was Approved" 05-24-2023: USCIS case status updated to reflect new Green Card was mailed 05-25-2023: USCIS case status updated to “Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office" -

I use an app called “case tracker” on the iPhone. Easy to use, once you login once, you never have to again. Also offers a link directly to your case status on the Uscis website.

Apparently, the new USCIS process is to make the cards, then approve the case lollll
May 19 - Status updates to “New Card is Being Produced”
May 22 - Case Was Approved

So....due to the verbiage in the RFE which requests evidence from "the date of marriage to the present", I've consolidated old and new evidence in my lovely 200 page packet with all the fervor and hopes of USCIS actually reviewing it some time in the probably distant future.
Anyone have any idea if the Portland Oregon office (1455 NW Overton) accepts certified mail with signature? Any suggestions on what type of USPS mail to send for peace of mind and OCD tracking without USCIS rejecting it for god knows what reason?

Incredibly jealous of those who received their GCs! I just received an RFE from USCIS with the following justification:
After almost 4 years from my original filing date (and all the painstaking care I put into creating a lovely tabbed, indexed, footnoted submission with a table of contents), they're asking me for my original evidence and additional evidence because of their ineptitude and delays...I'm speechless.

Not yet, unfortunately. It’s been almost 3 years since my husband’s notice date and we’ve been waiting for an interview since 2020. According to case processing, this is considered “normal processing” and I can’t inquire until mid-November on case status.
See my signature for detailed timelines :(

Probably a browser issue. Have you tried saving the pdf and using adobe to fill out? Using Adobe also allows you to save intermittently and work from a draft.

And just like that, my status changed to "Interview ready to be scheduled"... bit of a bummer, I expected "approved", but oh well. Wonder how long this is going to take from now on?

JessieABC got a reaction from Metaquamis in Affidavit sample or template. Filing for IR-1/CR-1
Affidavits can be from anyone but may not carry much weight although may help for high risk countries.
If you or your spouse are including one from either you, him or both, you should title it Evolution of Relationship letter and detail out your relationship/history/background.
Signed in ink since it is an affidavit.
Sample below.
Hope that helps!

Just found this forum!
Hope the spreadsheet owner doesn’t mind but I added a column on the tracker to calculate duration from biometrics appointment to ready for interview scheduling (was dying to know how long my wait might be)!

Not sure if it might be because we’re CR1 instead of AOS. @IkaStuart Are you also CR1?
@Elethiomel you might want to also download the “case tracker for uscis” if you have an iPhone. Just add your cases and it shows status. Also provides links for I-94, uscis Office locators, aos filing charts etc. Makes life a lot simpler than logging into MyUscis every time

Seems like my NOA is en route to be delivered today!
According to USCIS, msc refers to Missouri and will most likely require an interview. Saw some other forums chains where everyone at msc was required to go.
Any thoughts? Below quoted from USCIS site in 2012:
The NBC was founded in 2001 in Lee's Summit, Missouri and was originally called the Missouri Service Center (which is why receipt notices from the NBC will begin with the letters “MSC”). The NBC's primary mission is to prepare applications for adjudication that require an interview at a USCIS Field Office.
