My bio appt is on the 25th of March. However, I would still go.. to confirm if they are close. Because I know someone that went to USCIS for her interview even if they announced that they are closed for 2 weeks but it was open and she did the interview & passed  so I would do the same.. it’s not gonna hurt me to try though..

    Hi All,
I just want to share the packet 3 I have received from US Embassy in Bahrain therefore if any of you will apply a Fiance/e visa, you can start gathering these documents listed below. I have received this thru e-mail.
    _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
We would like to inform you that we have received the K-1 file from the NVC.
You will need to visit the following website for more information.
When you have all your documents please send us an e-mail and we will tell you when you can come with all your documents. You will also have to pay a visa fee of U.S. $ 265.00 at Citibank and after that we will fix a date for the interview.
You can also visit this website:
    www.ustraveldocs.com/bh
    Their telephone number is: 16198885
    · You will need to fill out the DS-160 on the computer and submit it.
    · You will have to bring 2 photos 2 inches by 2 inches.
    · Original Birth Certificate from the Philippines.
    · Original Single Certificate from Philippines.
    · Divorce Certificate (If applicable)
    · Original Police Certificate from Philippines (NBI).
    · Original Police Certificate from Bahrain (Criminal Investigation Directorate) CID.
    · Medicals to be done at American Mission Hospital if you plan to take your K-1 visa in Bahrain
    · If you have lived in any other countries after the age of 16 years you will need to obtain police certificates from all those countries.
(Police certificates are valid only for one year).
    · You will also have to submit and Affidavit of Support (Original signature). Your fiancé has to fill out the I-134 and submit supporting financial documents. He can send all the documents to you and you can bring it along with the other documents.
How to Obtain Birth Certificate/ Single Certificate/ Police Certificate from Philippines:
    Birth Certificates
Applicants may obtain birth certificates at any NSO branch for a small fee. Relatives in the Philippines may obtain these documents. The NSO can also provide an index of all children born to an applicant.
Birth certificates can also be ordered on the website http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=www.ecensus.com.ph. The site accepts credit cards issued in the U.S., Japan, Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. There is a flat fee for each document of $20. The fee includes shipping by courier to the delivery address abroad.
A certified copy of a birth registration (less preferred) may be obtained from the local civil registrar at the place of birth. Local Civil Registrar records are often incomplete and it is often necessary to augment local birth certificates with baptismal certificates. “Affidavits from two disinterested persons” are generally considered unreliable but may be useful in cases where pre-war records are not locatable.
Frequently, certificates for births occurring since 1946 may also be obtained from the National Census and Statistics Office (NCSO), at the NSO East Ave, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. Certificates of birth before 1946 are maintained at the National Archives Division at T.M. Kalaw St., Ermita, Manila. Issuance of a birth certificate takes approximately five working days, for which there may be a fee, plus an additional fee if issuance is to take place within 24 hours, or if the document is to be printed on special security paper.
    Marriage Certificates
Available. Marriage Certificates are available at any NSO branch. Procedures are similar to those for birth certificates. CDLI endorsements (see birth certificates) apply to marriage Certificates also. These documents are available at any local NSO branch for a fee
Marriage certificates can also be ordered on the website http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=www.ecensus.com.ph. The site accepts credit cards issued in the U.S., Japan, Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. There is a flat fee for each document of $20. The fee includes shipping by courier to the delivery address abroad.
Certified copies of originals can be obtained from the local civil registrar of the place where the marriage occurred. These are less preferred than Marriage Certificates issued by the NSO.
    Marriage Index Documents
Available. The NSO issues Certificates of No Marriage (CENOMAR) certifying that an applicant was never married. Certificates of Marriage (CEMAR) provide a chronological listing of all applicant’s marriages. A CDLI endorsement should be requested.
Marriage index documents can also be ordered on the website http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=www.ecensus.com.ph. The site accepts credit cards issued in the U.S., Japan, Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. There is a flat fee for each document of $25. The fee includes shipping by courier to the delivery address abroad.
    Divorce Certificates
Available. Certified copies of the divorce certificate can be obtained from the appropriate court. Divorce was recognized in the Philippines between March 11, 1917 and August 29, 1950; since the latter date, courts have been empowered to grant legal separation (annulment) but not divorce. Even during the period of legal recognition, divorces were rare in the Philippines because of limited legal grounds for granting divorces.
    Death Certificates
Available. Death certificates can be obtained on security paper (preferred method) from the NSO or at http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=http://redirect.state.sbu/?url=www.ecensus.com.ph using the same procedures as birth certificates.
Certified copies can be obtained from local civil registrars. As in the cases of birth and marriage, certificates of deaths occurring since 1946 are obtainable from the National Census and Statistics Office. Death certificates before 1946 are maintained at the National Archives Division, National Library Building at T.M. Kalaw St., Ermita, Manila. Issuance of a death certificate takes approximately five working days for which there is a fee, for delivery, or if the document is to be printed on special security paper.
    Police records
Available and reasonably reliable. Philippine-born immigrant visa applicants 16 years and over are required to furnish certificates issued by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The green NBI certificate annotated for travel abroad is the correct certificate. Other colors are for local use only. Foreign-born applicants who have resided in the Philippines for six months or more may be issued NBI clearances upon application either in person or by mail. Applicants residing outside the Philippines should send requests for certificates together with money orders or bank drafts for the fees and postage to IRD-Mailed Clearance Section, National Bureau of Investigation, Taft Avenue, Metro Manila, Philippines. Philippine Embassies abroad can assist Filipinos in obtaining NBI police clearances. The NBI has its own fingerprint charts and personal data forms that it will send to the requesting applicant for execution. Most applicants abroad find it more expeditious to have a relative or friend in the Philippines assist them in obtaining their certificates from the NBI. In that instance, a letter of authorization is required. The applicant may also submit a copy (“personal copy”) of a prior NBI clearance to facilitate the processing of a new clearance. Posts are advised that not all arrests and convictions occurring outside of Manila are reported to the NBI. NBI’s criminal records database is not foolproof and the remarks provided on reports require explanation.*Manila and major Philippine cities have computerized records.
How To Obtain A Bahrain Good Conduct Certificate:
    Police Record
Available. To obtain a Bahraini GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE, write to: General Directorate of Criminal Investigation (CID), P.O. Box 26698, Manama, State of Bahrain. The letter should contain a request for an application for a "Good Conduct Certificate" (Form PS/CID/6) with a statement explaining that the certificate is needed for immigration. Applicants should complete and return it to the CID at the above address along with the following:
    · Two matte (i.e., non-glossy) photographs;
    · A photocopy of the first four pages of the applicant's passport;(where all the biographic data is mentioned)
    · A photocopy of all previous Bahraini residence permits;
    · A letter from the applicant's current employer indicating that they have no objection to the applicant's departure.
If the applicant is living in Bahrain, the CID will schedule an interview, during which the applicant will be fingerprinted. The certificate is usually issued within 3-5 days after the interview. Records are somewhat unreliable prior to 1967. There is a fee for this service of Bahrain Dinars 1.000 or U.S. $3.00 for this service. Checks and Bank Drafts are not accepted.
Applicants no longer living in Bahrain should follow the same procedure and provide the same documentation. However, they will also have to provide a set of fingerprints taken by local police in their country of residence.
If there is a Bahrain Embassy where the applicant resides, the can contact the Bahrain Embassy to complete the necessary formalities.
Note: Certificates are not issued for holders of visitor's visas. In order for CID to issue a Good Conduct

Probably because someone else is processing your application and they are not as fast 😉
Seriously, give it a few more days. It's not even been a week yet. I wouldn't stress over it. Although, I got annoyed too watching everyone getting an noa within 7-10 days and mine was nowhere in sight. Turned out it there was a very good reason for this. 😜
I'm sure you'll get yours soon.

We sent ours to Vermont on 8/17, it was delivered and signed for on 8/20. I just saw that the fee was taken out of our bank account (8/24). I'm going to take it as a good sign they aren't as backlogged as they have been since I've heard people waiting a week or two for them to deposit the check.

GeorgeandGeorgia reacted to Gary and Alla in I-751 evidence
I had the great opportunity to have dinner with a director of the VSC Saturday evening. A sit turns out his wife is Russian, came here on a K-1 and is now an aquaintance of Alla. So we had some great conversation. Our next step will be the I-751 and he has worked in his career as an IO who conducted AOS and lifting of conditions interviews and gave me lots of good information on evidence. Here are some things he likes to see and others which are "useless" in his words
    Good stuff
Joint bank accounts, joint tax returns, joint ownership of property, cars. Joint leases. Joint insurance. Named as beneficiaries on life insurance and medical insurance. Joint credit cards. Any other joining of financial interests (the theory is that if one is willing to risk your property and money the relationship is more likely valid) Government documents showing common address, drivers lisence, etc. Photos are good, kind of expected, but NOT primary evidence.
    Children?
Yes and no. If you just had a child together and the man is nothing more than a sperm donor...no. IF you have children, whether "together" or with a blended family and there is evidence that BOTH participate in the child's development and education, and care that is great! I told him I am listed on all of our son's school papers as parent, I am an emergency contact and I sign all the permission slips, etc. He is covered by my medical insurance. All good stuff. A birth certificate in itself ("Look we have a kid") does not prove a legitmate relationship. It is especially important that the school (an objective 3rd party) recognizes both people as "parents" and accepts this. Medical records for the child showing both people as parents. same reasoning. If a doctor will recognize and treat a child based on their knowledge of both being parents, that is pretty darn good evidence.
Useless or not so useful stuff
Magazine subscriptions together (WHAT??? "Yes, you would be surprised how many couples present a Sports Illustrated subscription as proof") Utilities, cards and letters from relatives, emails, chats etc. Theory? all of these can be easily faked and in themselves prove nothing. Utilities do not verify information before adding someone to an account and hey, it's the electric bill, you are going to pay the electric bill anyway. There is no financial risk involved, no commitment as in joint ownership. Affidavits from friends or family do not have a lot of weight. None of these things are BAD and in conjunction with other evidence are fine, but not enough to prove anything themselves.
This is probably not news to a lot of people, but it was good to hear it from the "horse's mouth" anyway.
Incidentally, I mentioned that we never had a question at any of our interviews and never were asked for any evidence and he said "Sometimes we can just tell. Whatever you did, whatever your body language or how you acted, the IO was immediately convinced you were legitimate" I cannot say what that was, unfortunately.
Another question I asked, actually Alla did since she did not change her name
Does it matter if the woman changes her name?: NO, not at all.
    About citizenship (Alla also asked)
Can I be a dual citizen? Answer..."The United States does not recognize other citizenships. You are a US citizen or you are not a US citizen. Once you become a US citizen the United States does not consider you anything else. We will not take your passport from Ukraine and we will not tell Ukraine you are now a citizen of the US. If you want to keep your Ukraine passport and renew it in Ukraine when you are visiting, it is none of our concern"
So the US has no policy and does not recognize any such thing as "dual citizenship" per se, but has no prohibitions from a person being a citizen of another country also, for the US you will always be considered a US citizen
Can I use a Ukraine passport to enter Ukraine and a US passport to enter the US? Yes, no problem.
What about stamps in the passport from the US or Ukraine?: The officers at the POE will ask where you have been, they rarely will look through all your exit stamps and really don't care. They are admitting you to the US, they really don't care if the country you LEFT stamped your passport, the US does not stamp passports on exit.
I ask this because Ukraine does not allow dual citizenship and I do want to keep my Ukraine passport for ease of travel to Russia, etc, and also if we ever decided to return, we have property there, I could easily work, etc. I do not want to do anything wrong and get in trouble here. The US does not care about Ukrainian law regarding citizenship, that's between you and Ukraine, but WE won't tell. Unless there is some order from a court or something, we don't give out that information.

I can feel you. lol I always worry about everything.. I always need someone to tell me that "everything is fine!" Greenbaum is a great advicer in this forum
In Bahrain, when I have done my medical, I had to wait for one week for the result. Then the hospital forwarded it directly to US Embassy. Also, the same day they sent my medical examination result to US Embassy in Bahrain, I also got a copy of it. I have made 4 copies of my medical exam result & scanned it and saved it to my usb as it will be needed for AOS
God Bless in your journey! I am sure your medical will be fine and everything will be a-OK

Hi.. I have been in living in Bahrain for almost 14 years and I didn't have any problem for my K1 visa My K1 application was on AP for 2 days only then got the visa after that. Also, my friend just finished her Interview for CR1 visa and also APPROVED today And take note: I have been in Qatar, UAE & Saudi Causeway too. I have 5-6 friends that already in the US and they were here in Bahrain and didn't get any problem with their K1 & CR1. And take note: All of them are from Philippines too! As long as your relationship with your fiancé is bonafide & you have many proof of evidence regarding your relationship + if you can pass 2016 poverty guidelines, then you should not be worry about the AP. It will definitely will take 2-5 business days for Administrative Processing. (Saudi is 30 minutes (driving) away from Bahrain).
    God Bless in your journey!

As per my tourist visa application experienced- i got denied 3 times ? But my 4th tourist visa application was granted! You just need to prove that you have a strong TIES where you live. Strong reason why you have to comeback to your country and NOT STRONG REASON why you have to visit the USA.

I applied for tourist visa 2 times (year 2011-twice) and I was denied and i tried again year 2013 and I was still denied. And I tried again for the 4th times as I really wanted to see USA and My fourth tourist visa application was GRANTED so I went to the US for 16 days exploring the country. I am pretty sure that IT DOESNT MATTER that because you got denied for tourist visa means there is a possible that you will get deny too for fiance. Both different scenerios. If you can prove to the US CONSUL that your relationship is bona fide and your fiancé/é can support you as written in form I-134 + successful medical examination, means you are a-okey

I believe that when they says "35 days" means that's their standard time but we need to be persistent to call them. Our case is already at NVC. I will just wait for NOA2 Hard copy and Packet 3 and hopefully before expiration of our I-129F I will get my visa God Bless to everyone!
