AMZJ reacted to OldUser in Email from USCIS
System glitch. People get it all the time with no changes to cases.
Good luck tomorrow and don't overthink!

AMZJ got a reaction from OldUser in Anyone else filed for neutralization after divorce?
Thanks! I read the letter quickly when I was making sure all my papers were together and I didn't know if I needed it or not since we are divorced and I'm applying based on my time here, not on the marriage.

Naturalisation sounds like becoming a UK or Australian citizen?
Anyways, as long as OP knows their ex spouse date of birth, divorce date and walk through timeline briefly, it's OK. Nodody expects ex spouse's original documents at the interview.

Thanks for clarification. I don't think I need it then. But I'm taking all the documents I have.

AMZJ got a reaction from STO Overland in Need advice/resource for students
I teach ESL at various school settings. Some of my students are asking me how I applied for my green card, but it's different for them as they have different circumstances. The particular situation that I am dealing with right now is a student asked me how he adjusts his legal status. I know there is paperwork but I feel like it's probably something a lawyer needs to help with. I do not know his legal status if he is undocumented, or refugee but he will turn 18 soon and has a younger sibling who I am also teaching. I have realized that I can't help them with the paperwork as it's too complex for me to deal with. Can someone please point me in the direction of a resource I can direct these type of students too? Most of them can only speak limited English as they are learning English at school with me. This is not the first student I have taught who has fled from violence. Some of them are registered and some of them are undocumented, some of them I don't know. They are good kids and really deserve a better life than this.
Thank you.

Also, a lot of material here is useful no matter where your students are - https://miracoalition.org/resources/know-your-rights/

There is an official USCIS study app for iPhone and android. Play the app for 3 hours and you will learn all the answers by rote memory. I did it in the waiting room.

For the citizenship I believe it was only $750 and you just have to show proof of 3 years of marriage …if you have been married for 3 years or had ur green card for 5 years you can apply for citizenship.

AMZJ got a reaction from bigjailerman in I-751 February 2019 Filers
I think forgot to update. My greencard expired 28th feb. I got NOA1 extention for 18 months in the mail on the 26th. I'm not hugely fussed but i do hope they don't take too long as we are planning on moving out of state June/July and I'd really like to not have to travel back to KY for my appointments.

I waited for our tax return so we have the past 3 tax returns. But as others have said if they want it they will rfe it's no big deal.
Lockbox received my paperwork on the 19th. I don't know if they cashed the check yet I will call the bank next month and ask. But I'm just wondering how long it took people to get an acknowledgment in the mail?
