Have you checked that, even if you get into the country, and if you quarantine you will actually be able to see her? If she’s is any kind of facility (hospital, hospice, nursing home) it’s quite likely you will not be permitted to visit even after quarantine.. I’d make sure about that before doing anything rash.
Thank you, I have checked into it and it may only be few days for her now, so I wouldn't get to see her and due to her religion, she will be buried the next day, so I will be staying home.
Thank you vjers so much. You are the best kind of help ❤

BTW, the passport status website will only say "in process" until it ships.
Once you get the "shipped" email, it will take 2 to 3 days.
Unfortunately mine is not even processed as received yet.

When did you apply for your passport??
July 21

Are you going by land, or flying?
my husband could. I would drive up.

Obviously you can enter Canada with your Canadian passport.
You can't return to the US with your Canadian passport.
I assume the state dept still has your Certificate of Naturalization? Otherwise you could drive there.
You cant apply for an emergency passport while one is pending.
When did you apply??
Call the 1-877-487-2778 and maybe they can tell you where your passport is down the pipeline.
Or create an emergency situation for you.
Thank you. They have my certificate, it is some where in Buffalo not even on the website yet.
I called and passport said its not an emergency...:,(
I applied July 21
I read that the usa cannot deny me entry even without my passport as I'm a citizen but I am not sure.
P.s. I hate life with covid

Hey everyone,
On my USCIS account, it shows an estimate time of 4 days. Does anyone know what it means?? I am a bit confused as the estimated time disappeared for a while. I am waiting on my oath ceremony.
Thanks!
Stay safe!
Mine said May as well. I'm waiting for ny ceremony to be scheduled

I was approved on Feb 20. Just in line now for oath ceremony to be scheduled. Yippee...

I got a reply back on uscis.gov messaging system on my inquiry about the delay on decision making. It was an automated response advising me about the oath ceremony scheduling if (i.e., IF) my N400 case was approved.
How do you find this out....I would love to know. Still waiting to see approved....thank you

After having a very smooth interviewing experience at the start of this week, my online status update system seems to adamantly remain ignorant of its occurrence.
My status update still stuck at Interview Scheduled stage from last year. I called the customer service and they told me that the online system sometimes take some time to "process". I have also made my maiden use of the hi-tech messaging system that's given to us in our my-uscis account, by sending a message inquiring (really, begging) about the delay in the online status updates.
I even opened up the N400 officers manual available online on the USCIS website and have studied it with great interest. I specially paid attention to all the relevant portions related to different bureaucratic possibilities for decision making that may arise from the interview. It also contained a little nugget on the actual sausage making post-interview: apparently the interviewing officer who recommends the approval must not make the actual decision to approve but he/she must hand the file off to another officer who would then perform a final review before deciding whether to make the decision that was made already to stand as the absolute final judgment upon the fate of the applicant.
This is good to know. I am also stuck at Interview Scheduled after 3 weeks. My file wasn't sent on time but luckily he still interviewed me. He was really great about it all.
I'm just anxious to check that box

Very airline dependent. There are definitely airlines that charge cancellation and change fees even if you book direct with them.
I guess they are all different and you should ask, all I know is that American airlines did that for me.

This seems to be the one Expedia uses. Pages 3-5 list covered reasons for cancellation/interruption. Nothing looks like it would apply to OP’s case.
If you book directly with the airline, you won't have a cancellation fee when you rebook. I use American airlines and they were great to me

Hello everyone, I'm so glad I found this thread. My 400 interview was on January 23rd, in Kentucky and my file wasn't there but he interviewed me anyway.
So 2 weeks later and I'm starting to stress.
He said I passed the civics etc and unless there were ex spouses and criminal convictions not known on my application, I'd be fine. The firm said a decision couldn't be made at this time.
I need a judge to preside due to a name change which may take longer but I'm starting to get anxious.
Anyone else have something like this happen....thx
-
I don't know how much time....sigh I had my n 400 2 weeks ago Thursday and all went well but he couldn't give me an answer as my file wasn't there. I'm just waiting to see if I passed. What website do you use to check your status. I'm using the my uscis....waiting so close to the finish is painful

I think you are wise to end this especially before children. Trust your head. Good luck.

@Krusty Immigrant I am in the same boat. Also, I realized that our timeline is close enough. Apparently, your case is moving fast as you file on August 28 and myself on August 1. You got your fingerprint on Feb 12 and myself on March 28 and pin drop silence after that.
Honestly, I don't care anymore as I have lost way too much mentally than just a fortune and inheritance that I shared with her but anyways let's not get into that. What is more killing is that the way it has happened I am a certified patient of PTSD now and it will most likely stay with me for the rest of my life. So, really I don't care and willing to trade green card for my sanity and happiness now. I hardly follow here so if you need anything from me you can message me for a quick reply.
Hang in there. I'm praying for you. A whole new world awaits. Be kind toyourself.

Approved! Got a text message with a case update at 1am this morning, woke very quickly to check and saw 'New Card is being produced'. So happy!
Awesome. Are you in ky too
-
I'm not sure. On the instructions page it says if they need originals they will ask or you can bring to the interview

I know some of us have filed N-400 is all we need really is joint mortgage, lease, mingled finances and proof of citizenship?
I did that, also divorce decrees, master card statements, just a few each year, and every thing else they asked. Oh, also travel dates.
-
So an amazing thing to wake up to yesterday. My card was being produced. Today it said case approved. I'm a Vermont filer.

212 days????? Wait, what am I missing? When did you file?
Never mind - I just checked...I'm still confused though. I keep getting updates from vj for the processing times and it says mine should be done somewhere in October 2019. Not that this is a definite, it's just an estimate but still...nowhere near another 212 days 😳🤔
Aug 23rd 2018. I guess if they go to the end. My process time on vj changes too, right now its Nov 8th so uscis is probably going to worst case scenario.

Vermont filer here. We filed on August 6, 2018 and as far as we know the case was never transferred.
No updates since biometrics in September 2018
We filed N-400 in July and are hoping for a combo interview, which (I guess) means that the case would have to be transferred.
Vermont too. My case isn't even online but I called today and they said the system update might take another 2 weeks but not to worry, no mistakes or flags but they still have another 212 days to work on it. Sigh.

Does anyone know when the last EAC or Vermont case has been approved? Last update was Sept 28th that my fingerprints were reviewed and been patiently waiting ever since.
Same but no updates for me at all except they are reviewing my case. Ugh
