I think the general rule is within 30 days.  I read a post the other day that the customer service agent wouldn’t allow someone to schedule before that, even though their office was quite busy and they were asking for an appointment inside those 30 days.

It’s my biggest gripe with this process - it should be on them to provide us continued proof if it takes more than 18 months.  *Hopefully* this will be a non-issue and we’ll get approvals rolling in like candy on Halloween this month

Filed september 2018. Biometrics july 2019. Case status says fingerprint completed. Case active 1 year 1 month 26 days according to the case status app.

Not holding my breath on any updates soon. Average processing time in California is 16-22 months.

Oye - now my anxiety is rising because of course that would be something that happens to me.  Thanks for that LOL just kidding. 😂😂

Did you go with your wife/step-kids to their biometrics?  I wonder if they had the same experience as me.  When I went, I was the last called for that appointment slot, and everyone else was back there at least 5 minutes.  I was done in about 2.  He only took my photo and one thumbprint.  I believe when I went for the AOS biometrics, all 10 of my fingers were printed (scanned).  I was hoping that this means they’re just reusing them.  I don’t have a “common” name (married or maiden), and obviously nothing in my background to be worried about.

I do have the receipt that is stamped, so if this worst case nightmare scenario does wind up being true, at least I have that to back it up.

I’m also remembering how embarrassing it was because I thought the door was locked when I tried to go in, but turns out I just wasn’t using enough arm strength to open it.  😩

Just a month after entering on a K-1 Visa and you received an RFE for "shared life together" - INCREDIBLE!
I mean, just after 1 month of entering... how much could you possibly have... please keep us posted and let us know the outcome. Good luck!!

Hi! We created a  WAC timeline document (WAC/CSC) and it includes a 2018 tab. Not sure if you have a timeline going for December 2018 filers  but if you share in the document, it would also make it more visible to filers from other months. Thanks! And wishing a speedy(er) approval.
I'm tagging some that I think might be WAC /CSC. Best.

Hello!! A friend of mine filed his I-751 in July 2018 (California Service center) and he just got his approval...
So I believe that means that October filers will start to get approval around December 2019.....

I think you will be fine but ROC process so far hasn't been so stressful , hopefully things will move forward for us very soon but I saw some of the folks from earlier 2017 , 2018 or even 2016 are still waiting on their approval for ROC and made me curious why the heck USCIS are taking so long? Look like they just randomly processing case which is not fair for folks waiting on their approval since 2017, 2018. I believe everyone should be fairly treated regardless of how strong or weak their cases are?

I mean, ideally, that’s a fair processing time, but definitely not the standard.

I feel like my ROC will be troublesome because the K1 and AoS process went fast and smooth, so I’m due for a headache, right?

Sometimes I think files get worked in the wrong order by accident, although that works in favor of that person.

I do wish there was some more transparency.  I’ve had issues with UPS and USPS lately with packages so I irrationally fear that USCIS had lost my case when it was transferred to VT, and I will forever be in limbo. Haha.

There's been a couple more October 2018 filers with ROC approvals recently and a couple filers got RFE notices in the last couple days.

So it seems like maybe we're 3 mos. away or so from starting to see some activity [hopefully]
