If all goes well and your application review is good, you can expect an interview date approx 2 months later....maybe sooner.
During my time, covid caused many delays with application processing. They should be caught up by now.

NC returned: 10/22/2021, in a regular manila envelope, not bended.

And now I'm done with immigration.
From K1 petition to citizenship & NC back in hands, from 06/22/2015 to 10/22/2021. 6 years & 4 month. Done;)

If you look at the trend of returns, most are getting their NC back approx a month after getting their passports.

The airline staff checked all that stuff before you board the plane (like they would with visas etc)*
You have no contact with border officers when you use egates (unless something goes wrong and it tells you to “seek assistance”, for there was one border officer with a couple of people in line). I’m assuming “the system” links your passport number with the PLF on your way in.

*btw for flights to the US, BA (and assuming some other airlines) use an app called Verifly. You upload all the Covid etc stuff onto there per trip, it gets checked, and you get a green online pass on your phone that you just need to show the gate agent rather than a bunch of forms - very quick and efficient.

    All,
I am a new user to this forum. I didn't see any entries in the old tracker for 2021. So i have created a new Google spreadsheet based tracker here for us.
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1itagrwXu39t_Gsvi3bXeobhEm74hg2ur1w2CfmD0bm0/edit?usp=sharing
Please go ahead and put your entries. It's your own tracker, so feel free to make any edits to format etc.

Wowzers. I applied for my kids' passports (non-expedited) a month ago and was worried that nothing shows up yet and the checks aren't cashed, but seems that is normal right now?? I wish they would at least take my money!!
(Side-note, the UK is throwing out passports like they're hot potatoes, and also - USPS is managing to get UK passport documents across the ocean super fast. 🤷‍♀️)

I passed my interview and took my oath in Mount Laurel, NJ today. My interview only took 10 mins and then 10 mins later had my oath taking ceremony with 5 others. I am finally a US citizen! The officer was awesome and he talked to me about Russell Peters and his jokes since we both are from Canada. It was a smooth experience overall. This forum has been a great help. Good luck to the rest of you!

Our N400 was approved on 10/28/2020, after contacting our Senator for assistance with our I751 (also approved on the 28th). Our oath is scheduled for December. So glad this process is almost finally over!

Sorry I have been scarce lately as so many things have been going on with me. I found out I'm pregnant and my "morning sickness" has been terrible so sitting behind a laptop was not on my to-do list
FYI - I also unlocked the spreadsheet so happy editing!!!

I attended my interview yesterday and was approved! I arrived at 8:55am as my appointment was at 9:10am. There was a small line with social distancing outside the main entrance of the building. The officer looked through the door and motioned at each person to step up when the doorway was cleared. I was finally checked in at 9:11am and then had to sit in the main waiting area which had limited seating based on them blocking off 4 chairs with caution tape in each row. There were only 8 of us waiting.
After sitting for 2-3 mins, an officer came and called numbers. A lady who arrived after I did ended up getting called before me. It was a short wait as I was called after 5 mins.
I was led down a hallway by a very friendly official where we then got to his office and I was sworn in before sitting down, then the civics portion began.
    He asked:
    1. What are 2 parts of Congress?
    2. What is the supreme law of the land?
    3. What was Benjamin Franklin famous for?
    4. Why does the flag have 13 stripes?
    5. Why does the flag have 50 stars?
    6. What did Martin Luther King Jr. do?

Question to read off tablet - WHEN IS FLAG DAY?
Answer to write on the tablet - Flag Day is on June 14.

We then talked about my application, went through the yes and no portion, then he asked about my life in Trinidad, places I've lived, worked, etc. He really made the entire process feel so at ease and he eats Trini food so he started talking about that and I was very surprised that he knew about a lot of our dishes
At the end of the interview he checked off items on a paper, told me that I passed and he was recommending my approval and then said that they are no longer scheduling persons for future oath ceremonies (which made me nervous) but then he followed up by explaining that oath ceremonies are being done on the same day as the interview once the candidate passes! He thanked me for swapping recipes lol and then he led me to the main ceremony room to await another officer who would be bringing out the certs.
In that room was the same 8 persons from earlier and then a young woman came in with our certs and explained to review it carefully for any errors that could be fixed then and there because once we step outside of the building and see an error, then we would have to pay the same fee to get the cert replaced. She said once everything was accurate we could leave or stay and have pictures taken in the room. Only 3 of us stayed back to take pics because that was a memorable day to NOT take at least 1 photo! 📸
I left at 10:40am so not bad for the time spent there.

After my husband's successful interview on Sept. 16, we were shocked when the email arrived saying that his oath ceremony was scheduled for Sept. 24 (and incredulous that the notice would arrive quickly enough, but it did). I haven't had time to come back around and update for a while, but everything went smoothly (and fast! he was in and out in 15 minutes--he said there were about 13 other attendees, and they were moving groups in and out rapidly, no doubt trying to clear a backlog). It is so incredibly surreal to be DONE with this process, after 8+ years and so much anxiety and paperwork. I still plan to come back around to check on all of you, though!
