Yes, we weren’t sure if they would want both of us to go in and be interviewed, but they allowed it; I’m guessing because of the pending I-751. 

Just a quick update.
 
Tuesday was the N-400 interview. Everything went very smoothly; despite some last minute intense anxiety. It ended up being a combo interview for the removal of conditions and application for citizenship. Everything was approved and the officer scheduled the oath ceremony for May 23rd, since my spouse and I are moving out of state at the end of June.
 
Prior to this, the last update on the I-751 was that it had been transferred to the NBC. The citizenship interview was scheduled with no indication as to if it would be a combo interview or not. The officer that conducted the interview stated that he was given the file at the last minute because the officer that was going to do the interview, was not able to do so for both the I-751 and the N-400. It is my understanding that the I-751 must be processed first, and so that is what triggered a joint interview for both applications even though they never updated the removal of conditions status.

It is a bit of a two-edged sword. There are situations where you may be asked to show your Green Card for identification purposes, likely not very often. Maybe, she didn't want you to lose it. Now, another side of the sword. However, it is kind of weird but in this country there has often been a condescending tone given to the newest immigrants, by the previously new group of immigrants, or the descendants of the last group of immigrants. Sometimes that tone can even get quite hostile. I personally don't understand the basis for this behavior, the majority of Americans immigrated from somewhere else.
The great inscription on the base of that wonderful statue (that was a gift from the people of your country) that stands in NY Harbor was intended for all immigrants, is still very much applicable today as in yesteryear.

I am very sorry for your situation and the pain it is causing you. It's very easy to be on the outside looking at your situation and wonder why you would stay. Ultimately though, it has to be your decision, as it is your life. The only thing I will offer, is advice that someone once told me; that simply is, when someone tells you something, listen to it. The fact he stated "I don't care enough to do so" and made a statement regarding that the K1 process has made him stop loving you, should tell you everything you need to know. I wish you the best with the rest of your journey and it's amazing to see the support that everyone here on VJ is able to offer.

I believe it is the date on the Noa1
