Hey guys! I back from my 21 day ban. I doubt I will last here for very long given the obsession the mods have over me but I will enjoy my time on VJ while it lasts. I will get my NOA2 THIS month. That I am sure of.

Complete disgust and I feel totally on point with the questions in regards to not only do the DACA and DAPA applicants get the opportunity to bypass the legal immigration system but they get special treatment by not being required to attend interviews.
Im sitting at work listening to this on a headset and busted out laughing and disrupted the whole office when they tried to explain away the lack of interview.

Thanks to an anonymous person who's amazing, we were able to get our issue in todays Subcommittee on Immigration and The National Interest meeting as a question on the record. (The topic was financial not operational.) But.....that being said, our documents were read.
    Small steps.

Its more expensive to assume, book, and then have to change/cancel a flight that's not refundable than it is to just book last minute. When my wife and I went to Juarez for her interview, I made the assumption it would take 1-2 days to get the stamped passport with temp green card approval back from the embassy. I was wrong. it took 4 days to get it, and thus my flight I booked was wasted. I spent the money return flight already and didn't go, and then had to pay again for another flight. (there was a $200 change fee, which was more than the cost of the ticket). In the future, i plan to only book the flight when documents are in hand, as the websites recommend, and not gamble like i did.

Jabl2rom reacted to waiting4awhile in Addressing TSC Wait Times Directly to TSC Employees
I'm a new member here and have been absorbing all the information regarding the disproportionate wait times for K1 filers at the TSC. I only submitted my petition last month, so I already know I'm in for a long wait. It is a really unfair bureaucratic nightmare.
Despite this, I was happy to participate in the recommendations from this post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/537595-tsc-k1-backlog-what-can-we-do-for-tsc-non-expedites-only/ including signing petitions, contacting federal agencies, the White House, etc.
Now I'd like to suggest an additional route for inquiry. (It's just an idea, and the workload is entirely on those who choose to pursue this, I can't do much more than run additional lead generation tools/lists.) How about networking with TSC employees directly? Meaning appeal to TSC employees with shared or similar education/professional backgrounds, or connections to people you know with such backgrounds.
This route will require a lot of research and carefully orchestrated communication; but this is how favors are dealt everyday in the real world. The other option, spamming the hell out of everybody, although possible, would not be my first choice. A thoughtful, individual approach, in my experience, is more fruitful. But hey, I could be wrong! Especially since their email domain accepts all messages, not just internal ones (see explanation below).
Here is a spreadsheet containing all the data I could mine from LinkedIn today of DHS employees (~250) located in Dallas/Fort Worth, as this is where the TSC is located. It includes:
Name: See if anyone in your network on Facebook/Twitter/Email contact lists shares a last name for potential connections. Email Address: All have a @dhs.gov domain. I tested a sample of emails to see if they could receive external messages; and luckily, they can. (Woot!) LinkedIn URL: Their professional profile on LinkedIn. Job Title: USCIS employees are listed first, read their job descriptions from their LinkedIn profile to see if they deal with processing or adjudication. However, this list will also include some people who don't work for USCIS directly. It's up to you to determine whether those people are networking-worthy candidates. The only people I removed were those who work for TSA, as most were simply security officers at airports without any management-level clout. Education: Where they went to school - Use this to possibly appeal to shared alumni connections from your network. Groups: Professional groups they are members of on LinkedIn. See if there is any overlap or connections to people you know. Skills: Self-reported skills. See if there is any overlap or connections to people you know. Interests: Self-reported interests. See if there is any overlap or connections to people you know. Previous Employer: Where they have worked besides DHS - Use this to possibly appeal to shared professional connections from your network. FYI sheet 2 contains additional unsorted LinkedIn urls onl, but these are people that work for USCIS directly. One final note: It looks like USCIS has contracted out a lot of its work to 3rd parties. I have no idea the implications of this on 129F processing, but it's something to consider.
I work in data mining, so I am happy to run additional tools/lists in different geographic areas or with different keywords if you can think of anything else.
    Let me know your thoughts.
    Thanks!

Hi there not sure who you are but no need to be rude. I bust my ### behind the scenes and normally stay out of the forums but after my long thread of emails I wanted to say...
I don't see this as a fight for myself but for everyone and for future applicants. This is something that I'm willing to follow through on till I see change as it affects students that I work with also.
So either be nice and hang out or don't say anything. I understand and will never knock a different point of view, but I think that the point of being on here is to gain strengh and hope from the people that are also going through a common obsticle.

I think this is a good point, and started me thinking. Has anyone ever reached out to someone who used to work at the Texas Service Center through something like LinkedIn? Maybe it would be worth informally asking them some of these questions, or is it likely they won't say anything? Maybe something like a Reddit AMA?
My thought is if we could hear what is going on from them, we might be able to throw our support in the right direction with writing Congressmen ect...maybe there is something we are missing? I wouldn't be surprised if people processing the forms are just as frustrated with the time discrepancies as us.

People like you are why those that are deserving of tourist visas are denied for ridiculous reasons. People that have no intention of being an illegal, and just want to visit, can't get visas because the consular officer assumes they will be like you and slither their way into the United States and stay illegally. How about going home and applying for a work visa?

Don't get snotty. Realize your situation of your choosing does not sit well with law abiding US citizens. You choose to break our laws. Don't pass judgment on others wHen you don't know their situations while asking for help with your illegal situation. That takes brass balls.Realize that your only path to a green card is marriage to a USC.

Excuse me? What else can we do other than to be patient? please enlighten me... Majority of us are stuck at Texas and I'm almost 4 months in, so I don't have to be 7 months in to encourage someone and tell them to hang on and be patient. We're all in the waiting game together, we're all going to be frustrated but at the end of the day there is nothing we can do to speed up the process so what other options do we have other than to sit and wait? I wasn't aware that saying "be patient" was a bad word

I can't really believe I just read all that...
In the months I've been here, this place has always been so supportive and encouraging. With the exception of a small handful of people. I don't get how nobody understands it. Whether you have been waiting 1 month, 3 months, or 7, which seems to be some magical number that's going to turn me into a cynical monster according to some posts, it's hard no matter what. We are ALL separated from our loved ones. For a variety of reasons it's hard on every single one of us. I'm sure a lot of us have or have had things going on when we needed our other half.
The part that really gets me, is somebody telling someone to not say words of encouragement towards someone else. That didn't even come from the OP. Did the OP even post again afterwards? They created the thread, the words were spoken to them. If they didn't want to be told to be patient, they could have said something. I don't think one person should dictate how others are spoken to, or what is said.
I get that it's hard, patience tends to fade, and again, you might turn into a cynical monster at the 7 month mark, but we're all here for the same reason. Why can't everyone just support everyone else? At least I know where my logout button is now.

In this case, usuing your analogy, it's two people next to each other further back in the line as and one telling the other to be patient its almost our turn....not someone walking by. Then you getting mad at them saying you've been in line longer so they can't say that. That's what happened here. It wasn't a CSC filer or a Phils expedite saying it. It's an applicant from Jamica at TSC.

Thanks so much for all of the good answers in my now locked post regarding a K-1 Visa issue, and sorry if I upset or offended anyone due to my lack of knowledge of whether or not it was possible for me to help a truly innocent victim, and at the same time bring someone into my life to potentially be happy with.
I did not know the answer to my questions, that is why I asked them...
It is not just HER word regarding how she was treated, her fiance victimized her in many ways, including video taping much of the degradation he evicted upon her, and then posting it online for sale, things I did not mention in my original post. I won't go into further details about that but suffice to say, that was just the tip of the iceberg...
Please don't judge people so harshly, so easily, we are all human, and being such, we all make mistakes, and sure I have made more than my fair share, but does that mean I do not deserve to have the chance to find love, or to just even help someone who has suffered enough to find the correct answers so that she will know that she cannot stay here, that there is no form or process that will allow her to stay. I AM NOT the one keeping her here, I am just the one with a big enough heart to try to help her, so hate me for that if you want, but I have served my country in many ways, and I have always been the one to run into the burning building while others ran out... I always reach out my hand to help others, that is how I was raised, and I am too old to change now, and to those of you who reached out your hand to help me, I say again thank you.

How do you know he treated her bad, because thats what she said? How about she is just trying to do what a lot do and that is to get a green card, how do you know she didnt use the first guy just to get here and now she is hooking up with this guy cause the first guy found out about her plans and cut her off? This happened to my brother, and by the time he got her here on the K1 she had already found some one with a little more money so when she got here she told him she changed her mind and that she met someone else. Then should tried to pull that VAWA mess on him so she could stay.

The problem is that you feel they aren't qualified to pep people up because they haven't waited as long as you ...."Please don't tell people to be patient. When you get to 7 months, feel free. Until then, no." What makes 7 months the magic number? Additionally no one forces you to come in a read the posts. This is a place for support and guidance including words of encouragement.
