I filed my petition in August and because of the delay it has now been 7 months! Has anyone had their petition go through that applied around the same time? How much longer should I expect to be waiting? Thank you!

Also 7 months. No word.

Please do not tell people to be patient. When you get to 7 months, feel free. Until then, don't.

You haven't received anything yet and it has already been 7 months? That is pretty long. My then fiance was here in the US 7 months after we filed. Let's see it got the lockbox thingy on 2-15 and he came here on 9-30, so yeah it was like 7 months total. But the last two months were the struggle to get an interview. All the paperwork had already been sent accepted, I'd received the NOA1 and NOA2 by mid July and his stuff was sent to his embassy by late July. Are you constantly checking the "Check my case" thingy on the USCIS website? I feel like you've been waiting an awful long time. What's the story with you and your fiance? Any things that might be seen as "red flags" to the government? In my experience in talking with other people, they don't like it if you didn't meet organically. I mean like if you met online in a dating site, they have been known to see that as a red flag. They also tend to deny cases where the woman is much older than the man. Those cases tend to take YEARS and YEARS. I would be crazy frustrated if I had been waiting around for 7 months without even a NOA1. That's crazy!

Well our day is 7/16/2014 I have made inquiries and even had two senators involved according to what the uscis agent have told the senators office there are no red flags everything is in good shape the case is very complete to tell u the truth I dont think senators help much. I have called so many times the last agent that I spoke to told me that our case was ready to go and that any day now we would get the paperwork that was on Feb. 10, 2015. Since I have seen cases filed after mine get approved mean while Im still waiting.

His father is married to a friend of my family we met thru them we are both young 33 me and 35 him there no records we starte talking in 2012 started an relationship by the end of 2012 made it official in 2013 we met in person for the first time in march 2014 got engaged in march 2014 have visited him every 2 to 3 months since then we filed in july 2014 and here we are still waiting. One good thing we both agree is that this experience has helped us grow as a couple we have a real base or foundation strong that has helped us with this process we feel that we have matured that we first became friends fell in love with the person the heart feelings and then the looks.

You're right. Your situation is sound and complete. It should be smooth sailing from here. Hopefully you will be getting the good news that you deserve shortly. This experience can be heart wrenching and exhausting. But I agree that it makes the relationship so much stronger. We appreciate each other so much more because of what we fought through in order to be together. Now these days are all behind me and we are just living our lives together here like normal people. I have faith that you too will be in that place soon. Best of luck to you!!!!

Sadly, 200+ days for approval of NOA-2 and 10months+ for the visa in total is the norm for Texas these days.

Excuse me? What else can we do other than to be patient? please enlighten me... Majority of us are stuck at Texas and I'm almost 4 months in, so I don't have to be 7 months in to encourage someone and tell them to hang on and be patient. We're all in the waiting game together, we're all going to be frustrated but at the end of the day there is nothing we can do to speed up the process so what other options do we have other than to sit and wait? I wasn't aware that saying "be patient" was a bad word

don't pay attention to wbeem. He/she is the most depressed, negative member of them all. They can't even be happy for others. Patience is important, something they obviously lack.

I filed my petition in August and because of the delay it has now been 7 months! Has anyone had their petition go through that applied around the same time? How much longer should I expect to be waiting? Thank you!
