  1. Ok I broke down and called today, eventually asking for a tier 2 rep. I am still waiting for them to return the call. They were at a 150 minute wait, so I decided to do the call back thing. From what the first person told me however, I'm not expecting to make the cut tonight. Don't want to sound negative, I hope others indeed get their NOA2s tonight, I'm just not expecting to be amongst them.

Oh well, we'll see what the tier 2 rep has to say. Not expecting much there either.

I'm really hoping to see you get your NOA2! I don't take seriously what much of those answering the phone say - after all, they will tell you they are processing August 23rd.

Best of luck, as we all know that's what it is, since there is no rhyme or reason to who is getting NOA2's.

  2. been lurking just reading until today when i registered our account and timeline.

Not sure if seeing the VJ stats makes me more anxious or less

Seeing the statistics of other NOA1 filers after me being approved before ours sucks.

I'm just excited consistently seeing September dates, even if it is after my date :) It's more so when its bouncing all over the place, Oct, Nov, even a Dec one earlier this month, that makes me crazy lol.

  3. What is so unsettling right now at TSC is looking back at our wait, we were clearly skipped over. We waited 224 days for our approval, but the majority of those in the rest of our month waited less. Looking at September timelines, our wait time which was then some kind of oversight for whatever reason, is now the norm. That stinks. So sorry for all of you still waiting. It really sucks and there is nothing that can be said to ease the pain and frustration. All we can do is stick around and watch for your approvals when they do come so we can congratulate you.

At least the people here understand. I've started to lose my patience with people who ask me "Did you hear anything yet?" Like, don't you think if I did you would know? I'm pretty sure I'll scream loud enough for everyone to know lol.

Hopefully the average wait will start to creep back down, even if slowly. Having to wait 220+ days for someone to review a file to make sure everything is there is crazy IMO. Personally, I think the USCIS portion should take less time than the NVC/Embassy, but that is clearly not the case when you involve TSC.

On a side note, I see your packet was received- you are in the home stretch~! :dancing:

  4. It seems like most approvals are on Monday's and Wednesdays. I expect several more tonight.....

    I hope you are right!!

Thanks wbeem. Doing ok really, just wished that I had news to pass on to Elena. Hell, even her friends and family are starting to ask what is going on with "the visa." That never used to happen. But with the pregnancy soon coming to full term, folk are becoming rather apprehensive. And I have nothing that I can share to ease their concerns.

Hoping you hear something sooner rather than later! I know what you mean, people ask me daily. And then I always have to explain that there's still more steps after this....this is not the visa issuance stage.

    :bonk:

  5. Guys, Im august 18 n called today to make the inquiry. THIS PEOPLE KNOW NOTHING SINCE I TOLD HER MY CASE #SRC... n then she ask me, which location are you petition at...?src its texas...DUH!

she told me yeah i was past due n she took all my info and made an inquiry and i must have a decision/response in 7-14 days.

    I'll keep u guys inform✌️

Wow....smh. I'm convinced the people answering the phones have no clue of the process AT ALL.

  6. Today's Update give us 190 days to NOA2 (8/23/14-2/28/15) - Or 6 months + 1 week

Previous update gave us 183 days to NOA2 (8/2/14-1/31/15) - Or just at 6 months

I don't see how this update positively swings anything for USCIS? I would have expected a serious inflation of the time... like maybe down to 5.5 months or something...

Or do they not care because they announced the "routing of new cases to CSC on 3/27/15?

This is beyond me... seriously... I'm sorry September Filers :(

I thought that the update meant that's the date they were processing as of 2/28/15, but someone corrected me that the as of 2/28/15 only applies to the petitions falling within the accepted approval time (i/e processing in 5 months). If it says a date, that is the date they are claiming they are processing as of the update which would mean 8/23/14-4/13/15 which is 233 days - of 7 months 21 days :(

No. If it was easy to do, then everyone would be doing it or have done it already. But it isn't easy, it takes time to cancel a petition, serious time, so you might as well wait. And I haven't even touched on the issue of "potential fraud" in such a scenario. So unfortunately, you're stuck. Believe me, we're all pissed right now.

Or the fact that what would happen if they did route you to TSC...and you'd have to start the 7+ month wait over... :::shudders:::

  7. I am not quite getting one thing, why do they post an update as of Feb 28th even though is a month and half later? We are obliged to think they are further away with the petitions since it's freaking April already; even not having this small percentage of insight via VJ we could figure out this "data" is not accurate.

Someone enlightened me the other day. If it says "5 months" that means that as of Feb 28th, the service center was processing under the posted months. However, if it says a date, that means that is the last date that they processed as of the update.

  8. I hadn't been watching the official processing time updates. This is a joke, but nothing to laugh about.

What about the late August filers still waiting? We were in this situation a month ago when they updated their timeline and cut it off two days before our filing date, when we were already at around 215 days. It just shoots you straight through the heart. You really have to experience this journey to understand how it affects the people suffering in the broken system. It's just cruel and heartless.

I know, I can't even imagine how they feel. I didn't expect personally for the date to affect me, but I thought for sure the date would be at least 9/1 or 9/2 and the late August filers would be able to at least file an inquiry. I did post on their timeline as well, so that anyone before that date knows that they can "officially" inquire, not that it will probably do much good.

Hoping to hear something in the next few weeks, because at this rate, I won't be able to inquire until June! At least with VJ we know that they are at least working on some September cases, which shed's a little bit of hope - I could only imagine how I would feel with only the USCIS site to go on, and no one who understood what I was going through.

  9. Here is to hoping TSC will finally get its act together for the remaining Aug and Sept filers.

Geez...going into every week with so much hope only yo have it crushed is really hard!

I just saw the updated USCIS timeline....that was disheartening. in a month +7 days, they only moved 21 days "officially". Still processing August according to them. Aug 23, 2014 officially....

This makes me want to scream, cry, and kick something...
