Well, at least yesterday TSC did some approvals, even if they are all over the place timing wise.
Yeah 9 Approvals listed, I think thats more than I've seen all week. And at least half were September filers...so that's a postiive.
-
We did actually write a letter to expedite when we filed the case and i actually thought they'd consider it but nothing happened.. Cant imagine they know that the whole future depends on it.
At this point do you think we should av hired an attorney??
From what I have seen, expedites would depend on the circumstances. An attorney will not help with the service center processing time - they can do no more than anyone else can.

Wow.. thanks for the detailed answers.. to be honest i find it quite nerve wrecking as time goes by.. I was under the impression it would come through within couple of months.. had my wedding planned and dress ready.. Just making me frustration with each passing day..
Also i have seen posts where people claimed they approved their cases within couple of months time line.. What is the pattern here??
I understand - we have a date set (I know they recommend against that) and it is quite nerve wracking. I am hopeful that we will still be on track, but if not, I will just need to move it - out of my control at this point. I'm just more frustrated at the whole process in general. I know if I performed work at my job like that, I would be looking for a new job..
CSC center is approving fast, so that could be the case, or the Philippines filers experience expedites at both centers so that could be as well. Also, looks like new filers are being routed to CSC instead of TSC and I have seen fast approvals there. Lastly, could just be the luck of the draw.

Oh wow so it means it can take few more months...
What happens in case they reject the case?? Shouldnt they inform earliar in case any document is missing or rejection takes this long too?
Nope, I think they only look at it once, determine if you have RFE or are Approved. If you look at the list of unapproved, you will see some people have RFE dates of late March for these Aug/Sept months.
-
Is there anyone from September batch waiting for the approval??? I hope september cases are approved already..
I am late September and I am still waiting. If you check Igor's list you will see that there's a large amount of September filers still waiting - I think only 30% of Sept VJ'ers have heard anything, and that includes expedites.
There are still some August people who are waiting for NOA2.

I went to bed last night with no hopes as usual. I stopped trying to wait up till 9:30 long ago. I woke up to my alarm this morning and I got the text!!! Finally approved. Don't loose hope people. Trust me I know the pain and suffering of the wait. I have never cried so much and I am a guy lol. All I suggest to those who are still waiting is dont lose hope and stop expecting it. The surprise is that much better!!
Congrats!!

Yes, it really grates on you after a while. Or those who applied nearly three months after us who got married and applied for AOS before we even got our NOA2. Not the filers, but the system is in desperate need of a grand overhaul.
Yeah, this is ridiculous. I don't blame the people, but the system makes people bitter. I'm pretty sure TSC is pulling later cases so they can barely progress their official number, so no one can file a service request. That, or I'm gonna start thinking they have boxes of petitions someplace they forgot about.

Thank you both!!
It was a very long time, for us all!!
My feet haven't touched the ground all day!!!!
Congrats!!

Another March filer from 'Bama was sent to CSC. Another week to see if transfer notifications go out for Texas neglected cases...
I've seen multiple early to mid March filers that were routed to CSC instead of TSC, and a few already received the email of their NOA2. As happy as I am that this is preventing them from getting sucked into the TSC black hole, it makes me want to scream that some of us see no end in sight

One can only hope.
I have felt really hopeful until this week and then reality hit and now I'm freakin the mess out. haha
If we managed to get approval this month we could still probably make things work, but after that there's no hope. We haven't paid any vendors yet so we're good, but it's just such an ordeal. The introvert in me dreads having to make that announcement and answer all the questions. And really, I just wanna get married. We've been dating for 4 years. I'm sick of goodbyes.
Our embassy is in Malawi, and there's no one else currently on the site going through that embassy that I know of. Fortunately we have some friends going through this in Malawi who just got approval (lucky ones who didn't have to go through TSC and got like a 3 month approval) so we're hoping they'll give us an idea of processing times.
At this point I'm ready to quit my job and move back to Africa, but I realize that's quite irrational.
Yeah I'm in that boat, where approval this month will probably make or break the timeline. We've made some deposits, but for the most part they could be applied if I can reschedule the date with them. I'm really hoping I don't have to make that annoucement either, but everyone here understands. And I hear ya, I just want to get married too - we've been dating for 12 years! The goodbyes are brutal - and I haven't seen him since September either
Is there any way to research Malawi embassy outside VJ or past data? Hope your friends can at least give you that idea about the processing times.
Yeah, my fiancee has a better attitude - he's like, I just want to marry you so if we have to wait at least I can work longer and save more money. Guess I should try to look at the positives that it will happen, just may not be as soon as I would like.
Best of Luck to you- I will be looking for your name on the approval list soon hopefully

. We had to move our wedding date because we thought we would be in the clear for processing times when we started. It sucks. I hope if you've booked anything the vendors are flexible, just in case. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your date works out though.
I'd contact your deceased rep's office still, their caseworkers and staff still have to help constituents with issues regarding federal agencies. I bet their caseload has gone down a lot, so you may get more attention from them.
I'm in limbo right now with the wedding date - luckily most of my vendors will be flexible if I can reschedule within a calendar year from my wedding date, and if they are available. Right now I'm still hoping for a miracle because if NOA2 comes soon, I might still be able to use my original date. Only benefit that I've seen is that London seems to be one of the embassys that processes quicker. If we can nail down an interview date, then that will give me some indication if my planned date needs to be moved or not.
Hopefully TSC was using this week to get transfers and stuff organized, and maybe next week they will start plowing through applications - one can hope right? Either that, or have a meltdown, which I'm very close to at this point.

We just got our case number from NVC! Absolutely bouncing around right now
Yay, yay and yay!!!!
By the way, for the avoidance of doubt, we are actually quite pleased about this
Oh, I asked the agent how long it takes and he said it's quick to get to London. Usually about four or five days.
Yay!!! Congrats
So happy for you!!
Exciting to hear about London too, as that's where ours will eventually be headed. Now just need to get out of TSC. Maybe there's still hope for my September wedding LOL
-
thanks you.
Really Im falling to pieces evens when im sleeping, I can't concentrate on my life. and make me sad in stead of being very happy and start preparing for the wedding.
I hear you - some days this consumes me all day and it's all I can focus on. I just can't imagine what the TSC looks like for things to be this in-efficient - I know they receive tons of applications of varying types, but there has to be a better way so that applications are processed timely. I feel hosed for doing things the proper way (not that I would ever not ) but this is why things are so out of control here.

One approval yesterday? I know there are ones we can't see because of people that aren't on VJ or don't update info. At least when I saw 6 or 7 a day I felt like things were moving. This is just depressing.
-
For medical it's dependent on the embassy I think. For vietnam I think it has to be done no more than 1 week out from the interview. So you basically have to wait until the interview date.
Yeah, it's all dependent on the embassy/consulate. From what I've seen, UK Doctors in Knightsbridge will not do medical unless you have interview date.
-
My timeline says that I could be approved by March 26 hahaha ??
haha mine says : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 13, 2015 and April 28, 2015
I'll be happy if I can get somewhere in the middle, which would be like, next week. *Fingers crossed*
-
Yup, tomorrow is day 200 for me too.
I haven't hit 200 yet, but fast approaching. Hopefully we see TSC issue a lot of approvals this week, since last week was very lackluster. Fingers crossed for everyone!
-
Zero. Trust me. Been there, done that.
You feel better while you have it and then really sick afterwards, lol.
Now, one thing that really helps with the depression of waiting is buying shoes!
haha funny that...I'm browsing shoes online right now

Every day in TSC is a bad day
Except approval day. For us it was time to open the wine the day we got notification that we were out of Texas
I can't wait for the day we can do the same. Please let April be the month...because I'm still hoping for a late July interview...

My lawyer was going to file a request, since we passed the 6 month mark. Here is the result:
"Here is the response we got from USCIS on the case- since they are currently processing August 2nd we were unable to file service request. We note that it is unfortunately not unusual for the processing times posted online to not be accurate. Since your case was filed 9/19, you probably have another month and a half or so to go.
I will put a reminder in my calendar and we will follow up with USCIS again on May 15th is we haven’t heard anything by then."
I am hoping I hear something way before then, I will hope to hear something early April. If May 15th is in fact accurate, then I definitely need to reconsider that I could get married this September.
-
Yeah I'm kinda thinking along those same lines. I'm also wondering who it would affect...I mean are the "oldest" of us gonna stay where we are because we're "next in line" so to speak? Or are they gonna transfer their oldest cases period/absolutely? Dunno. But we'll see. We should start another "If you were transferred" thread!
I'm hoping this far along, that my case is already assigned out and is just waiting to be looked at.
Not at all. Although I am eager to see which applications they send. My guess is November through January.
This would make the most sense IMO.

I wonder what month files, or which batches they will transfer. I just hope after waiting so long that this means faster processing. I don't want to worry about being so close and then actually having time added if transferred.

13 approvals Thursday and only 1 yesterday? Hopefully a few more people will update the site with some approvals. Hoping for a strong approval week next week for all of us
