We knew about not making set plans, but we honestly thought a year was going to be enough for the visa to be done with.. Rookie mistake
Luckily enough, it's a very small wedding with just close family, so they're understanding.
We've booked a house with a good cancelling policy, and I just stare at my wedding dress hanging in my living room, hoping to hear some good news everyday
I have a love/hate relationship with TSC right now.. I'm so mad at them, but at the same time, I'd probably pop some champagne if we get approved tomorrow! ahahh
I'm in the same boat as you, we knew the risk as well
I'm hoping I don't have to make that call - I need to know by June to let the venue know so I don't lose a deposit. Maybe we should get the champagne ready for approvals this week
One can dream...

Hi everybody!
Found this tread like a fresh breath of air, my SO and I have been waiting for 7 months for our NOA2.
He called on Wednesday, the vocal machine said the I-797 was sent (nearly burst crying), he called back a couple hours after and talked to a tier 2 officer who told him they were treating August cases and to wait another month (because that's so easy to do). So right now I'm a mess, I don't know what to believe and I'm in a constant stress.
I feel bad for feeling jealousy towards people who have their case in CSC, I feel stressed because we are supposed to get married on September 26th, I feel mad because of all the false hope.
Like all of you I hope we will all be approved in the next week or so.. Best luck to you!
Best of luck...I hear ya. We are supposed to get married Sept 12th, however they do warn against making plans since there is no set timeframe. I am hoping for the best...if we could just get out of TSC lol

I have a feeling a lot of approvals are going to happen next week.
I really hope you are right

I just checked the Igor's list and I checked how many August fillers are on Vj. There are 213 fillers and 151 are approved until today ,62 are unapproved.
I wanted to have a look on these 62 people that are not approved(or have not updated the timeline). I did count the when they were last active and this is what I found.
This is the number of people when they were last active
Aug= 1 - person
Sept= 6 - six people
Oct= 2 - people
November=2
December =1
Jan=6
Feb=1
March 23 =4
April = 12
These are the other stats
Private=2 private timeline
Error=5 it ends up with an error.
Not selectable=19 ( you can't open them)
These are the stats for 61 people because I missed one.
There is one person, who does not have NOA2 filled in, but in the RFE column has their receipt number. If you look it up, it says file was sent to state dept March 9th.

Yep, basically...
One wonders how TSC expects to dig out of the mess they have created. I upped my expected approval time from 190d to 220d. Maybe it is time to up it to 250d now. Seems like no matter how much I wait, I cannot catch up.
I was hoping I'd hear something between 200-210 days, I guess I will be happy with 220 at this point.

There was a RFE
2014-09-24 2014-10-01 2015-04-09Thanks- I didn't scroll past September - my bad!
so, 3, slightly less dismal, but still pretty bad lol
-
2 approvals yesterday, and no RFE's? Wow, that's dismal. I'd like to say I hope today will be better, but I won't hold my breath....
-
Just a quick heads up....the Jan 31 date is ONLY for cases being processed in the time frames. If they have an actual date, the last case they touched before the update was released it that actualy date.
So as of March 6, the last case "officially" processed was Aug 2.
Thank you for that info!
-
Outside normal processing is anything more than 6 months, right?
Sadly no. It's anything that is before the official date they process on the USCIS site. I was more than 6 months out, but didn't matter since my NOA1 date was after Aug 2 and that is the current official date. Even though that says as of Jan 31, they still use that as the current date they are processing.
-
I never understood how they work, they say first in first out, but I don't think so.
lets hope and hope and pray and hope and wait and guess and............
They don't even understand how they work ....lol

Nothing for me, 204 days
did anybody have an idea on when are TSC going to update their website?
Website is usually updated around the 15th, but sometimes earlier. Im guessing this Friday.
Why does it seem like most weeks there are few approvals Mon to Wed, and then a bunch Thurs and some Fri...are they down to working on K1's like twice a week??
-
Me too. I'm holding out massive hope for all the early to mid-september filers that the random november approvals won't be for nothing and will at least move the date forward enough to allow them to put in service requests.
Agreed- and this way any remaining August filers can do the same.
-
I cannot wait to see the processing times page updated....hopefully it will be updated this week. I'd like to see the "official" date they claim they are processing.
-
-
Tell me about it.... it really breaks my heart
I can only imagine how the remaining August filers feel. I nearly fell off my chair last week when I saw a December NOA1 approved...

Well that still wouldn't explain why they've "skipped" Sept to work on November if Oct was transferred. Even though more approvals are rolling in, it's far from the majority.
No, it doesn't explain that, just why we haven't seen any October in the mix. Everything is just speculation, but it probably has something to do with the way the files are batched out, or maybe those files were given to workers who don't have 1,000 other cases to deal with, or the they may be trying to show a lot of cases processed, without advancing the "official" date too far into September. No one will ever really know the exact reason. Same reason some September files started to be approved before August was finished, etc.
-
They are randomly approving September and November currently.
Interested to see what the normal processing update will look like considering how all over the map they've been lately.
At least the last few days have had a higher September Ratio to November. Also, I saw someone speculating that maybe October cases had been transferred since none have been approved recently. Who knows though with TSC.
All I know that at least those 2 days had more approvals then I have seen in whole weeks recently, hopefully that will continue!
-
And we'll never know if we're just crazy conspiracy theorists, or right, or TSC is just so mismanaged that they don't have a clue what they're doing or why...
I'm just grateful for such a great group of people to pass the time with. Someday this will all be just a memory for all of us
-
I don't understand how November approvals are coming in more and more when some August filers are still waiting and very few September filer have gotten approved. It's bad enough there's a major difference in processing times between service centers but this is adding insult to injury every single time I see a November approval
I agree, this is really annoying to see. Again, I don't begrudge anyone a quicker than 7 month approval, I just can't understand the logic of TSC. However, I'm pretty sure they are about as logical as the Twilight zone LOL
-
I believe those words of wisdom hold true when you are well within the processing times. If not, an RFE means ANOTHER month or more before the case is approved. At this stage of waiting, anything but an approval is god awful.
This is true, and I would personally cringe if I got an RFE, however at least it means that they aren't using my case to hold up a shaky desk lol
-
Unless they serve me with an RFE, in which case I will raise hell
Hey, at least an RFE means someone looked at your case!
-
Unless you have to pay courier fees for delivery of the visa, the next expense is a bottle of champagne to celebrate your approval after the interview.
Cannot wait for this! I'm sure you both can't either
Michael is currently waiting for his Police report, which should arrive this week (fingers crossed). He also got some of his vaccines on Saturday and will get the remainder this Saturday - they didnt want to vaccinate for 7 things in one day. He got MMR and will get Tdap, as hes already had chicken pox.
So, only thing to wait on now is the NOA2. I've been watching your dates wbeem as we are about a 6 weeks apart in timing
Still trying to get him here by mid- Aug. Your fast medical date made me happy, and it looks like London moves pretty fast too. Any ideas when you think the interview will be?
-
Hope that they (TSC) will work tomorrow april 6...
Hopefully....its not a federal holiday though some people may take off. If so hopefully they don't take the whole week. Here's hoping for many approvals!
-
I have a suspicion that most the employees were not working on Friday, and judging by that, may not be working on Monday either.
Congrats to all the approvals though
Ethline, very happy for you!
Agreed - I assume most would be off Friday/Monday or both. I would have liked to see a few more than 1 approval tho, but people could be busy for the weekend as well and not updating.
Hopefully Tues-Fri next week will be as productive as Thursday appeared to be.
I also second your congrats- happy for everyone with approvals. Ethline, thrilled for you as well!
AUGUST 2014 K-1 FILERS (TSC)
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

Here's hoping the USICS site is updated tomorrow with a September date, so all the August filers who haven't heard anything can officially file an inquiry.
