  1. Agreed. Did see someone get ahead of my timeline too. But then nothing in this visa process has been logical/understandable from day 1, and to think we have another 4-6 years of this.....

We got confirmation of the interview today. It's July 27th, and we submitted our readiness June 26th. I did read that London does try to accomodate if you have a wedding date on your form. Since our wedding is Sept 12 I wonder if that had to do with getting a sooner date.

  2. Hey guys!

I'm sort of confused and need some guidance. I feel like I should be doing something, but the lawyer's office seems cool with everyone just being idle right now.

Has everyone received Packet 3? And then proceeded with making the medical appointment and interview? Or have some of you done things differently?

I called NVC last week and learned that we have a Case Number and that our file is already *in* Montreal at the embassy (our lawyers office didn't know this). The case status online states that we are good to go ahead and book an interview. But, I'm waiting on Packet 3. The paralegals at our lawyers office (I'm really learning that getting a lawyer for this was completely useless so no need to remind me) have told us to look for Packet 3 in the mail, and once we get it, to let them know. My DS-160, in addition to my fiance's Affidavit of Support and pay stubs, etc. are still sitting on our lawyers desk for review.

Is there anything we should be doing? I've read that you can download the Packet 3 forms from the embassy Website, fill them out and send them off. Our lawyers office advised us to wait for Packet 3 and then, before doing anything, letting them know.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I just want to do the right thing.

My fiance is very much of the mindframe that "everything will fall into place" but we're getting married (or hoping to!) on October 23rd and I'd REALLY love an interview date for crying out loud.

I feel like we're so close, but because it seems like the lawyer's office is lollygagging, I'm really worried that things are being held up.

Hi! I am very much in the same boat as you. Our case has been Ready since June 19th. We never received packet 3 - our paralegal wanted to wait for that to do the required forms. Luckily I was able to get her to do the DS160 once Michael had his medical and I could show the CEAC showed ready. She still didnt want to submit the readiness form without packet 3 as she wanted to make sure we didnt miss anything. I sent her a link to the London US embassy website which only listed the 3 steps, and then she conceded and submitted the Readiness form on June 26th. If I hadn't done that, we might still be waiting. In her defense, the website she was referencing did not lay it out so nicely, so it looks like there was difference in information out there.

Here we sit, 3 weeks later with still no correspondence from the embassy. I called the NVC, and was able to get the lady to tell me our interview date, which is in about 10 days! I am trying to get the embassy to respond back to my inquiry with the date, so I can go to the lawyer and ask her to send over the forms to M.

I know it feels like you are stuck, but if you guys can find some info about Montreal's steps that must be completed, maybe you can get them to send the information along. I know they have a way of doing things, but you are also paying customers and that should count for something!

  3. We emailed twice (no response from the first one) the second time they responded with Interview date and said not to worry about the letter if it doesn't come. We submitted readiness form as soon as he came back from Knightsbridge on the 16th.

I had called NVC last week because our case was last updated on July 2nd (medical was done June 22 and readiness form was submitted June 26). Last week I was told there was no interview date on the case. The date on our case still says July 2nd, so I decided to call again yesterday (I hate waiting). This time NVC told me interview is scheduled for July 27th! As of today still no letter. I am hoping it comes this week. Is the only way to contact the embassy through the contact us link? I submitted that, but it does say it will take up to 5 working days for response.

  4. Our CEAC status till only show date updated. When it was first created June 19th, it showed case creation date, but after that it changed to case updated and no longer shows the creation date. It changed on June 25th (Which i believe was them logging medical results from the 22nd). It changed again on July 2nd. I thought maybe this was them issuing an interview date, but when I called NVC they stated there was no interview date, but they showed in the system that the embassy was reviewing the DS160 on July 2nd.

Hoping to get an interview scheduled soon!

  5. When submitting the Readiness form on Londons website did anyone get any confirmation? I did it on the 21st June but over dodgy internet so I think I'm just freaking out when I shouldn't be and just be patient. But worried that it didn't go through as no interview scheduled yet, confirmed by email from embassy yesterday.

Ours was sent June 26th. Our case had an update on July 2nd. I called Nvc as I thought maybe the interview was assigned. No luck but the nice man did share that it looks like they were reviewing the DS160 on July 2nd. Hopefully they will assign interview soon!

  6. So I called NVC today to see if they've got my case now...

I got to talk to a man.. He first said: "you have to wait 30 days from USCIS send it to us.."

Then 10 sec later he said: "you have to wait 35 days until you should call"

Then finally he ended the call by saying: "so wait 42 days until calling us"

    ??? omg!

It's like the longer you stay on the phone with them, the more days they add on ?

    Crazy!

So the case was send from TSC on Monday June 22, we had our NOA2 on June 11, when should I expect them to assign my new case number?

Should I even be listening to what they are saying about the wait time ??

I waited a week from when TSC sent before calling. When they answered I just asked for my case number. They confirmed they received my case that day, but it was not in system yet, and to wait 35 days for it to be entered.

I called back the next week after 2 work days. I called again and asked for my case number- this time the lady provided it to me.

Took 5 working days to get from TSC to NVC, and then 2 business days for them to assign a case number. I know every case may be different, but just wanted to give you some information.

  7. Hi Guys,

    I have 2 questions

1- when it is reasonable to call NVC for my case , TSC send our petition to NVC yesterday on june 22,

2- my I-129F will expire on october 12, its very short time, what can we do if we don't have interview before the expiry date , I'm very anxious.

    Thanks

Nvc got my case in 5 working days, I called and got case number in 7 working days. Glad to see your out of TSC.

I heard if your 129 expires They will extend 4 months with new intent to marry from petitioner.

  8. Strange. I called NVC and got visa number from them a while ago, but CEAC still shows "not found" (immigrant visa of course, case number for K1 doesn't fit the format of non-immigrant visa anyhow). That's not good. Hope they did not lose it.

I got my case number from NVC June 9th (it was either assigned the 8th or the 9th.) However, CEAC did not work for me until London received our case on the 19th. Until then I got "no results found."

  9. Hey everyone!

It's been a month we got our NOA2 hardcopy. The process was sent to NVC on the last 29th, since then ..crickets! Should I start calling since it's been 33 days from the time we got approved?

PS:You all might also be happy to know that I was on the US for a visit and just came back to Brazil, not a problem at port of entry with imigration. I met the officer later at the airport and he said welcome to America fiancé!

For some reference we were sent to NVC on May 29, I called on June 5 and the case was received that day. I called back on June 9 and got our case number. I called a third time on June 17 and was told the case was sent to London Embassy on June 16. I tracked the DHL package using the DHL reference thread- case was signed for early June 19 UK time, and the CEAC website was updated to ready later that day. I have still yet to receive the NVC letter - we are expecting "packet 3" from London this week.

  10. I did, but who knows if it was true? Our was also London and we couldn't track anything until London got it and entered it into the system, at which point it was "Ready".

There is a thread on here that tells you how to "track" through DHL, so if you have a case number yours should have been in the next batch to go to London (they go in batches, so yours could have gone next day or may be like 10 days like ours was)

I can tell you there is no guaranteeing that that is accurate since it is by batches, but ours was pretty darn close from when that batch was "received" by London (like next day).

Thank you! I will try to call tonight - I can sit on hold while I'm doing stuff at home in the evening. I did look at the DHL page, and I saw a package that had gone out that was to be received by London 6/15, but as of today it I still don't get Ready status. I'll look at the DHL stuff a bit more :)

  11. No worries! You just need SRC for DS-160. You will need a case number, though for rest so keep calling the NVC and asking for it until they give it.

Be polite, but a little pushy, and just say you really just want the case number (because, honestly, i got my case number a month ago from them on the phone and just got the letter with it from NVC like 2 days ago).

They will know if the packet has left. Once it is in the system (you won't have a case number until it is), hypothetically you should be able to use the CEAC tracking system, however, a lot of us haven't been able to access it until it arrives at the embassy and they process it, so just depends.

For now, call and get your case number (like people have been saying, you really need patience for this part, can take AGES to get through)

Has anyone had success getting the NVC to confirm that a case has been sent to the Embassy? I got my case number from the NVC on 6/9. I called at the end of that week on 6/12 to see if they could tell me if the case had been sent to the embassy, the lady acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. She said "it doesn't get sent, we are waiting for stuff" then when I proceeded to ask more questions she put me on hold, came back and apologized and said she was mistaken, but no the case hadn't left yet."

I'm willing to call again tonight and wait, if there's actually a possibility that they can tell me if/when the case was sent to London.

  12. I don't think it's a conspiracy against Europeans as much as a serious lack of work ethic and competence. The fact that my file hasn't even been assigned to an officer proves it's just sitting somewhere, and has been doing so for 9 months,

Sadly I agree with Mewbear. I'm a NY petitioner with a Eurpoean beneficiary. My NOA1 Was Sept 23, I received RFE on APril 30th and finally NOA 2 on May 19th. I just think its a serious, grossly disorganized mess down in TSC, which no one there cares to fix.

My hearts go out to everyone still waiting, and I pray daily that you will hear something.
