  1. yup stuck with the joyful supervisor review with NO checklists.

I guess I chose the US as I like it here more than canada but we all should not be punished, we are all contributing same way or perhaps even more. We are paying for the supervisors salary collectively as well, w/o all the immigrants there wouldnt be nvc and hence no need for all of them :)

  2. Almost had a heart attack. Got an e-mail from the NVC a few minutes ago, jumped out of the chair without even opening.

Went on to read it. It's a response from an e-mail I sent on June 9th to AskNVC@ asking why my DS-260 isn't available considering the fee has been paid for a month.

I hope they are not busy responding to 2 month old e-mails instead of working on getting cases going....

i got a reply for my ds-261 email sent may 15th on aug 2nd :) so i feel the same way as you ....

  3. I am in the same boat as you and wondering what I did wrong to end up in the supervisor review.

I sent my docs june 3rd and july 6th ended up with a checklist for ds-260. docs are supposedly all there and no checklist for any items. just waiting on the ds-260 review.

I filled up ds-260 on july 5th as soon it became available.

today one of the CSRs told me that it takes 30 business days and not 30 days for review and given everything i refuse to believe him. I plan to call them tomorrow at 4am again (I am on the west coast) and see if I can get to talk to a supervisor. so far I have two requests in the system for a supervisor call back so I am not sure if they were call back or they ever work :)

you are lucky your i-130 got routed to vermont, i had to suck up a 6 month wait period at nebraska yuck yuck yuck..... hopefully we will be out of the mess soon.

  4. Hello, hope everyone is okay, I'm back , about to send out my package to NVC. Praying all goes smoothly the rest of the way.

    welcome back and good luck.

A relative of mine got a checklist and I am a bit confused here. its cateogry F2 with and the principal applicant has a wife and two kids coming with him

Please include a photocopy of the principal applicant's I-864 and I-864A (if applicable) for each accompanying

dependent listed in Part 3 of the I-864 and Part 2 of the I-864A (if applicable)

1 )So do I just photocopy the I864 form filled by the sponsor four times?

    2) if I have a join sponsor should I photocopy that form 4 times too?

    3) and how about we have filled a I864a form, is that photocopied 4 times as well?

    thanks!

photocopy is probably fine for the form, but i think they require original signature on both i-864 and i-864a or you may get a checklist, they probably treat each individual case seperately and cannot tally its the same form by same sponsor and co-sponsor. better safe than sorry.

  5. dev, new delhi suckssss on scheduling cr1 interviews. its the notoriously long wait. someone whose case completed on april 28th has interview on august 18th and she got nitified july 15th. so i think if they are keeping with that trend you are sadly still 1 (ihope not 2) month away from getting a schedule for the interview. my guess is you will get in nov, its sad and i hate this process, and wish could do something about it. sorry for your stress, i am in the same boat as you maybe in a worse situation as i am still struggling for a cc

  6. Hey !

I was able to reach a supervisor today for the first time (im on sup review too)

I got through after saying i didnt know if my new i-864 was received or lost, and saying pleaaaaase please..

An operator told me last week that being put on supervisor review doesnt punish you : you can still get reviewed the regular way before a supervisor gets to your case, but i dont know if thats true.

    good luck

Thanks ClaClaa. Well, at the moment I don't know another label for supervisor review for ds-260 after 30 days and no checklist, i still feel its a punishment to me for their inefficiencies. Whatever that operator said that they don't feel its punishment - they can feel what they want as well but won't override my feelings sob sob sob

  7. guys, what is the best option to get to talk to a supervisor? I have been put in supervisor review now for my ds-260 review because they did not review in 30 days so now i have been punished by them for their mistake and am in supervisor review and it can take 42 days now.

every time i have requested to speak to a supervisor the first level operators ask what for, i say re: my ds-260 as its in supervisor review, they say it is too early and can take 42 days. I told them one i got the checklist for it and waited 30 days when others did not and now everyone in that category also has a cc and why mine is not reviewed, i need to know what i have done wrong or followed incorrect process please let me talk, then they put me on hold for few seconds to tell me no one is available. any tips how i can talk to a sup will be helpful and much appreciated. stuck here since may and not even at a cc and then am a lucky one to be from new delhi consulate so have a 2-3 month wait till interview

  8. if you looking for specific examples and that apply to your particular situation you may want to consult an attorney. I am afraid most of us here are mostly users and probably could only provide general opinion or speculation. VJ also has Ask a Lawyer who may help answer general questions for cheaper rather than going for an in-office consult. and no i am not an advertiser here :) just another lil no-one trying to get thru the system :) good luck friend.

  9. ds-261 will always say completed, even after case complete.

once you get to pay both the fee they will stay paid until ds-260 is completed and reviewed and even then ds-260 will say completed. They will not change to Reviewed.

the only indication of case complete after an eternal wait will be that AOS fee will change from Paid to N/A.

if you haven't had your ds-261 reviewed yet, call the NVC and have them review it. some of us have found that calling 603-334-0888 (option2) and requesting them to submit/review ds-261 will go smoother, most probably they are same folks but they sure sound more empathetic.

After about a week of ds-261 review you will be able to get invoiced for AOS fee, depending if it hasn't been invoiced yet. If it has and you have paid it and its already showing as paid, you will get invoiced for IV fee. But since May none of us can predict the sequence of event with which things could/should/would happen. But maximum you should wait is about 1 week and then start calling NVC.
