I just received same letter from the mail today.

Yes, our NOA was also on January 26, 2018, and today we received a letter from USCIS informing us that our previous Biometrics would be used and that we do not need to vane them retaken.
Our official NOA of No Biometrics Needed is May 5, 2018

I got a NOA today 05/12 in the mail with date 05/05/2018 and it says USCIS is able to reuse my previous biometrics and that I don’t need to appear for a biometrics appointment

I understand that people would like their cases to move faster, but everyone calling USCIS is not helping your cause. You can easily check different sources, within VisaJourney and outside this site, where you can verify that the process is relatively longer and delayed. Coming into this site every day is not going to calm your nerves. Relax people, if you are coming to this site for information you are already ahead of the curve as most people make a lot of misinformed decisions in their applications. You will be fine, just be patient.
Latest information from USCIS says that I-751 applicants for CSC are between 17.5 to 19.0 months.

Folks, this legal-immigration process is dysfunctional at best and broken at worst.  Please remain unfailingly supportive of each other.  Remember that if you hold one pencil and snap it, it will break; conversely, if you hold a handful of pencils and try to snap them, they'll remain undamaged.  There's strength in numbers.
 
Remember, too, that those of us who are finished with this infernal process are hoping and praying for your progress almost as intensely as you are.  You're not alone, and you're never forgotten.  Take comfort and find renewed strength in this.  

Filed jan 2, NoA Jan 4th. Have not tried to touchbase with them. I feel by calling and inquiring the status of my case that it would add unnecessary burden to a system that is already overloaded. Anyways we are legal during the whole process until they tell us so. So no need to be waiting.. it will come when least expected 😀

Don't worry, when you see the later half of Dec filers moving, its probably your turn soon Have faith. Cheers ur not alone.

Folks - in reference to the above, I have taken the liberty of updating it with some of the info that has been posted in the last week or so.
 
It would be great it people could update it themselves as events occur in their own timeline, that way it's not down to one or two people to keep it up to date as we all have lives to lead. I think there are a number of biometrics appointments and NOA dates that are available but missing from this sheet. Just keep copying and pasting guys! That way whoever is keeping the master file (which i presume exists somewhere) can copy any new info straight in without having to trawl the pages of this thread.

for those who have received NOAs and biometric schedules, can we request for our list to be updated? Im not sure which page was the last update of January filers. 

Recieved my biometrics Notice in the mail today for the 03/02/2018

Sure, but my point is that I am waiting on the USCIS to get back to me. I applied promptly within the allowed timeframe, and I, personally, think that if you can call yourself an immigration officer, you should understand that we are not allowed to apply before a certain window of time opens. His tone was rude and he also made a comment about me expecting to be able to tap my magic shoes together and just be allowed entry. Like all of you, I have gone through this process diligently, through all the proper channels, paid my fees and waited patiently for what is a rather drawn out process. I am willing to answer any and all questions, but I don't expect to be denigrated and belittled by officials.
 
 
 
 

I too am still waiting - it arrived at CSC on February 1st and they cashed the checks end of last week, I'm expecting the NOA in a day or two hopefully! I'd be stressing if they hadn't cashed the checks, but they have which means they have it so I am content with that for now. 
 
As a side note, I just travelled to the UK to visit my family, and on re-entering the country the IO asked why I had "waited so long" to submit my application for my 10 year green card. Probably irrationally because I'd just got off a long haul flight, but I was irritated since it's only been 2.5 weeks since my window opened and I'd told him I'd already submitted it. I just feel that an IO should not be making snarky remarks without understanding the process better.   

I will be obsessively checking usps informed delivery for our biometrics appointment! On an unrelated note, my husband and I are an inspection and appraisal away from being first time homeowners. The house is from the 1960s with some really sweet wallpaper and linoleum to match. I'm ready to get my hands dirty! I'm sure the wiring won't be up to date so we are making a list of what's a priority to fix up and what can wait since stuff costs money! If anyone has some good juju to send our way I would certainly appreciate it

It won't work. Wait until you get the biometrics letter. That is the # they will use for updates and stuff. I only know this because I stalked other ROC threads in prep for ours and that's what they've all said

Buying a house together is the mother of all financial co-mingling. That along with having a kid and I think they'll be fine. Kids and houses are the holy grail.

All new January Filers, welcome on board the "Success Ship" we're heading to our destination called "Victory". This is  six months to a year journey; depending on the ocean (USCIS) waves. 
We have few passengers to pick-up on  01/30/2018 and 01/31/2018. Anyone who comes after these dates will be joining the next  success' ship (February filers); unless those on board this ship, but didn't answer to roll call or wasn't added to January's filers sheet. 
Don't worry about the storms. Heavy weather sailing such as strong winds and high waves (Request for Evidence or Interview) can wreak havoc; however, we are all legitimate and licit passengers. More besides, we  have a captain (GOD) whose hours of experience is beyond thoughts. Trust me, HE will take us thru safely.
This ship will dock on the sea port of "Victory Land".

That's ballsy. The i-751 instructions specifically say you "should include" two sworn affidavits from people you know.

Wohoo, my check was cashed today - never been so happy seeing $680 leave my account, at least that means they have accepted the petition. Lets see when the NOA-1 shows up.
 

Same here, petitioning my fiancé too. and would be a first time to rent an apartment too.
I also consider those ones. but take note.. you might be getting the minimum wage, but also, taxes are being deducted on that 8.25 also insurance.
before settling down. probably save some money or atleast enough to cover up your expenses until both of you get a better job.
Your prices are quite realistic. but for apartment and in Vegas, That's quite cheap. That's also the prices here when looking for a small unit apartment. 1-2bedroom.
the bottom line is. it's better to have atleast a little extra to cover up unforeseen scenarios.
