  1. What I did was alittle different. At my local SSA office they have a "Drop-off Box" inside there building where you can drop off your completed SS-5 form and Passport card and a letter explaining what needs to be changed (make sure they are in an envelope obviously) I don't know if every SSA place has a drop-off box but my local office did for contactless processing. I waited about 1 week and got my Passport card back with a letter confirming the change in citizenship. Then 4 days later got another letter with a new SSN card (same number just different issued date on the bottom right). 🥰

  2. Sorry guys i am very late but I forgot to post my experience here on this section of my “combo interview”. This was on 11/06/2020.

    Here is the post...:goofy:

    I AM A US CITIZEN!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My experience was amazing! Very friendly and professional officer 👮🏻‍♂️

I got same day oath ceremony!  Decided not to change my name because I would have had to wait 3 weeks and I didn’t wanna wait. I’ll change my name in the near future in court.

Interview was easy, combo interview I-751/N400. Plexiglass was in between me and the officer. Was put under oath then I was asked basic info and my I-751 was approved. Then we went on to the N-400 and was asked

    “Who is your US Senator?”

    ”Who makes Federal Laws?”

”Who wrote the Declaration Of Independence?”

    ”How many US Senator?”

”What ocean is on the west coast of the US?”

”Name one war that happened in the 1800?”

I got all correct and we moved on to the reading and writing and I used a IPad to read and write.

    Reading was

”What do we pay to the US Government?”

    Writing was

    “We pay taxes.”

we went through the yes and no questions like

”Have you ever claimed to be a US Citizen?”

”Have you voted or registered in a election?”

    ”Have you ever worked Illegally?”
“Have you ever claimed to be a US Citizen in writing Or any other way (like on a I-9 form or government forms?)”

“Have you ever not filed taxes?”

    ”Have you ever killed someone?”

After going through the yes and no question

we went through the rest of the application and that was it I signed a paper to show all my info was correct and then he approved me. He congratulated me and escorted me to a room where the oath ceremony would be taking place.
I waited about 1 hour for the oath ceremony that was being done in the USCIS Office. Social distanced and mask wore at all times. There were 6 other people who were there waiting to be naturalized. We then did the oath of allegiance and that was it! I became a US Citizen. They gave me my certificate and made sure everything was correct on it and that’s it!

Now time to apply for US Passport and update SSN and apply for a new Driver license. Lol

I’m so excited!!!! Good luck everyone with your journey to US Citizenship! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

😃 That's what happens when you don't update your profile. It says Naturalization pending. I see that you updated your signature but not the profile which is seen immediately.

    Any way Congratulations!

I've tried to update my profile but it doesn't change. It stays as "pending" even though I updated it.

Bring everything you have uploaded when you filed PLUS any other evidences you have incurred after you have filed. For example, if filed under the basis of marriage to a US citizen and you have bought a house after filing, bring a copy of the title, gave birth to a child bring the baby's birth certificate. Someone went to his interview recently and they asked for a copy of his lease and he didn't bring it with him. He was told they will approve his N400 once he is able to provide that so he left the office without an approval. Also bring traffic tickets you have gotten before and after filing if you were ever given any due to traffic violations. Really anything relevant to your stay here in the US. Goodluck!

Thank you for the information but I have been approved since 11/06/2020. :goofy:

Here is a document that I compiled from various posts in various forums. There may be other things needed but I tried to cover as much as I can. IO may or may not ask for everything in the list. In my case (5 yr employment based), I was only asked for my green card and driver's license.

    Good Luck.

Had my interview this morning and I passed all my tested and was approved for naturalization. Had my oath ceremony this morning also just had to wait like 2 hours for it cause it was still early before scheduled time. It was like 19 of us and only took like 10 mins. Finally glad the journey is over with. Thank you to everyone that give me advice in this group.

Congratulations to you as well 🎈🎊🎈🎊🎈🎊🎈🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊

My interview is tomorrow! I will update everyone once I’m finished with my interview! I probably won’t have same day oath because I asked for a name change. 😅

I had my interview today and I am officially a US Citizen! Sharing my experience below..

The process was surprisingly very fast. My interview time was 12.30 PM and there was no one in the security line when I got there.

After the security check, I went to an upstairs waiting area. 5 minutes later I was called to interview with one really nice USCIS officer.

He swore me in and we started with the English test (Reading : Where is the white house? Writing 🥰The White house is in Washington, D.C.) and moved the civics test.

(Civics Questions : Name one US territory? If the US president can't serve, who next in line? Where is the statue of Liberty? Who makes Federal Laws? Name one state that borders Canada? Where is the statue of Liberty?).

Next we went through all the yes/No questions. He asked me if I understood the oath of allegiance and I said I did. He then told me he was approving my application and due to Covid, he will be swearing me in same day. We did the oath. He gave me some documents and I went back to the waiting area for about 20 min. Someone then brought me my naturalization certificate and that was it. In all it took about 1 hr total - from check-in to receiving the naturalization certificate.

Zero stress and that has been my experience throughout my immigration Journey and I'm relieved that it comes to an end today! 🙂

All the best to everyone still waiting for their interview. When the time comes, it will be a breeze..

Congratulations!!!!! 🎈🍾🎉🎊 So happy to hear it went smooth for you! My interview is this Friday coming up Nov 6. I’m abit nervous but excited to finally have this done! I’ve been studying 2 times a day.

Congrats. So it was indeed the address change that worked for you in the new field office. So no hope for ATL field office. That kinda sucks for me ! :(

well keep your head up. wishing you and others who are still waiting for a interview in ATL. :star: had it not been for the address change I would still be waiting. wonder why ATL is so slow?

Wow. That's a great coincidence. Congratulations. Hopefully without Address change also I receive some good news as yourself as our n-400 filling dates were nearby. Thanks for the update.

yeah I'm shocked right now! I need to start studying ASAP again. I got lazy after losing hope that I wouldn't get a interview this year. The old USCIS website is showing the Interview is Scheduled but the New USCIS website is still showing biometrics was reviewed. Hopefully it updates soon. Yes I hope you get some good news very soon!

  10. UPDATE* I don't know if the change of address triggered something with my N400 but just got a case update status about 3 mins ago and I got scheduled for a interview! Letter hasn't show up yet on my online document tab. This morning I received a email confirmation that they updated my new address change today.( I did AR-11 online form like 6 days ago because I moved to a different state ATL to AZ). I'm really hoping they scheduled it in Arizona.

I would not rely on the AR-11 form.  I had updated the form with change of address month before I was supposed to receive my Green card and both the times they sent it to the old address and charged my extra money to send replacement card. Based on this experience I would suggest you please call in and make sure the Tier 1 or Tier 2 associate updates this information on your file.
    Good Luck with the Move!!!

Thanks. Today I got a confirmation email saying they updated my address on my application.
