Very vindictive, maybe uneducated too and god bless this father, however
I think she will sign the 2nd letter with "full custody" removed, also why not
have hubby present her the letter? many times these mothers are not receptive
in anything a new wife or g/friend is involved with..I hope it gets done as you seem to
    have a good heart.
On the flip side many here speak of a better life for the kid & sure this kid will be
better off than the position he was in, but many Jamaican kids sent abroad thinking
life will be better get killed, molested & oppressed, so not all that glitters is gold
Don't know if anyone remembers that 9 yr old in Toronto beaten by dads wife to
death & a tooth she knocked out found in his stomach, so I applaud you for your
concerns & others but we at times have to think..Best wishes going forward

We were vacationing on the east coast for a week not expecting any updates since my fiancee completed the biometrics in early July...but had a nice surprise waiting in my mailbox when we returned as we received the letter with our scheduled interview for the I-485! Still waiting on EAD/AP but now we can start to prep for the interview - there is a long list of documents they want, though a lot of them are already prepared given the K1 and AOS applications we submitted.
I was really shocked at getting the interview notice - I had resigned myself to likely receiving a waiver and having a long process. It does seem somewhat random as we have not had RFEs and are coming from a quick turnaround of a K-1 visa. I have heard the interview can be tougher though - anyone have any good guides for what to expect?
@codycody our notice for interview to be scheduled was dated 7/23 and we have received it within the week (not sure exact date since we were out of town) - you should check if your letter got lost in the mail or something. Our interview date is Aug 26 and if your notice of interview was dated 7/9 (14 days earlier than mine), your interview date may be coming up soon...though I am in LA and there may be different wait times than in Houston where you are.
Hope for the best for everyone

We have to hope for the best and try not to settle for less than what we know we are worth, in most cases.

Unless things have changed... say they file the k1 and they're approved... after she comes over here and files for AOS, biometrics will need to be done (but he can't because he's in prison), then there's the interview, but he can't attend that either because (he's in prison).... Have i missed anything folks? So HOW is this going to work? You might say we here do not know anything... but one one hand we have one petitioning from prison and the second coming in from (i forgot where already. .. africa? ) Nevertheless, prisons are just as much high fraud as high fraud countries. You have a bunch of desperate lonely inmates with limited computer access. And many inmates (if all) in there are trying to find a sympathetic ear or trying to find someone to take advantage of. Its a cycle. I dont know how you met... but I'd be extremely cautious. He's there for a reason.

don't tell me but consider that the person is in prison
    not a good start
what do you know of his past record and don't believe what he says
    investigate
pay the $35 to look up his criminal history
how long will he be in prison
for God's sake don't send money to him and his family
    this sounds so scary

this person who message u must be in some close contact with him in order to know who u are and to get ur personal info to mail u. I guess he's definately cheating... In a relationship close to marriage someone shouldnt be arguing over a simple library card and also shun phone calls and text messages from u. I think its best for u to try and forget about the ur choices with him and move on, it will be the best thing for you. You are lucky enough to not get married and then having to file for divorce which will be added emotional destress. Go home, start a new. Its never too late. Good Luck. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE OR CONVINCE HIM TO STAY WITH YOU BCUZ YOU LOVE HIM. IT WILL NOT WORK.

I'm am so sorry to hear about this. I can only imagine how much you are hurting now.
Guess what!! She's not a better woman than you, I bet if the k-1 came through before the Swiss visa he would be there with you. He was using both of you and at the end when everything document filed was successful, I think he closed the woman I liked most.
As the other fellow member advice, please report to the embassy and all other necessary immigration services incase this skank ditches the woman in Swiss and want to come to the U.S. BE STRONG NOW... others go through worst, it's better to find out earlier rather than later when you have invested more in him/marriage you both would eventually have.

Wow! I can't believe the people trying to kill your happiness due to things outside of your control.
    CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FAST APPROVAL!
And just to be clear, the service center is decided based on where the petitioner lives. It has absolutely nothing to do whether or not they suspect fraud. They assign a service center before they ever look in the package.
Morocco is considered a high fraud country, but the couple that is trying to freak you out had a very long and difficult visa journey. Although it happens like that from time to time, most journeys end up just fine! If you don't have any blaring red flags, then prepare yourself, but know that it is likely everything will end up alright.

folks with student visas have little to no options to continue to live in usa,
as they are supposed to return to their home countries
    and
use their foreign degree to better their country. That's the compact between the two countries. Folk forget that, alas.
and no, she's not coming in to see me, I swear !

how much does he make? does it cover the federal poverty guidelines? if so, all you may need are
    -a Letter of Employment
-a letter explaining why his 2014 tax return is so low (he stayed with you for a year)
-paystubs for the past 3 months
but if you have a willing co-sponsor, all that may be moot then.. but yeah all they really care about is that you won't be a public charge when you get here

I agree however I dont recall ever seeing Jamaica as a high fraud Visa country. I have found no literature on this and for the most part Visas have been issued with valid petitions as well as any other country. It certainly is not on the list with Ghana or other middle eastern countries. It does not even compare to Mexico as a high fraud country. I think we should refrain from giving derogatory advice or opinions and just keep it real with the OP. yes the age gap is a red flag. the child has nothing to do with the petition other than obtaining the correct documents in what ever paper work she decides she will file. It will be difficult but if this is something you feel you want to pursue by all means do it! if I had listened to the naysayers I would be single and miserable. The best advice I have heard thus far is to marry him and return to your country and file a CR1. Your other thoughts are not an option. good luck.

You mentioned 3. That's hardly many. Few months back the same kind of post was made of Nigerian men. On any given day you can find any nationality post about their cheatin husband or wife, American or otherwise. It happens.
Your question really should be "why do people who say they love you cheat on you"? Irrespective of nationality.

Jamaica his not a high fraud visa country.OP, you have a lot of redflags. You have stated that bcuz of surgery u have no feeling there, so you can have that verified by a medical proffessional and give a written statement to USCIS this is also one of the reason that you and an elderly make a match when he files for a k-1 or a CR-1 (Best). I wouldnt advise getting married on a tourist visa bcuz of ur redflags, AOS may end up getting deny.

I did only my CXC- i moved here when i was 16.
My friend however had CXC results plus credits from utech. She was in the same situation as you (did tourism in Jamaica and switched to medical field up here). I know she got both evaluated and the credits from Jamaica help with some of the general requirements. If you did well in school out there I'd advised you to get them evaluated- they may help shorten the time you spend in school up here.

No one is bashing your relationship lady... Get a clue! Everyone here is trying to give you sense of guidance and knowledge as to what you're getting your self into. Even members from Nigera themselves are warning you. THE TRUTH IS THAT YOU DEFINATELY WILL BE DENIED NOT MEETING YOU FIANCE IN PERSON MORE THAN TWICE BEFORE THE EMBASSY INTERVIEW.
You can tell us you know this man and he loves you and he's honest, guess what? We aren't the one whose working on your petition and the emabassy do not approve on word of mouth. I bet even your I-129f petition is not front loaded with evidence, hence your fiancé will DEFINATELY be ask to provide all information at his interview. All he will have are screen shots and text... Not enough to get him approve. Nigeria is one of the scam capital of the world.. Yes they are other countries with fraud too..and if a member from Nigeria can warn you to go and meet him or otherwise pack your bag and run and you think we are bashing you.. Smh!!!
If you can't afford a ticket to go to Nigeria, how will you afford AOS when your honest Fiance arrive.
I wish you nothing but happiness but from the information you provided us, I think you're in for a scam or denied FIANCE visa.
