Interviews should be fine. They would only be cancelled if the entire office is closed. That's only happened once recently - Seattle (closed for one week but then reopened).

Good to monitor this page (it's updated daily):

If the office is open, the interviews will happen.

My daughter had an interview on January 28 and her ceremony was on February 21, my wife had an interview on February 10 and her ceremony is scheduled for February 28, I had an interview on January 28 and my oath ceremony has not been scheduled yet because I change my name and my oath ceremony will be in Denver district court, that they do just once per month, so there is quite a back up of people waitiing in line.

I submitted on Oct and completed biometrics on Nov too.
Below is my timeline. You can see when they sent the interview letter vs the interview day itself.

It also used to say case completion was May 2020 but I don't see that on my online account anymore.

I attended my oath ceremony yesterday the 30th at the uscis office where I did my interview in Centennial, Colorado.  We were 34 in number from 17 diff countries. From the start to finish took an hour 46 minutes.  At the end, it's well worth it. I'm glad my uscis journey is over, I'm now a US citizen . Hurray !!!

    How'd it go?

Any other Denver filers waiting to hear back? We filed in October and our wait time says 4 months, estimated case completion time June 2020.

Thanks for your advice! We booked on Southwest so can change if needed. It has been five years of trying to find the balancing act of living our lives vs. putting our lives on hold for immigration, so far I think we've managed well so we definitely would like to go on the trip if it works out.

    Love this! Thank you!

We booked on Southwest so just in case something happens... we can use the funds in the future for a trip later in the year. Win win!  Thank you for sharing your experience and process.

AWESOME about the Costa Rican residency. I actually would really like to look into that. I have been there a ton since 2013 and that is excellent to know that time counts as residency! Is your lawyer taking new clients? I would actually love to get in touch with them if possible as that is our definitely plan, my turn next.

This was my husband's Timeline from a year earlier.  As you can see, we applied in September 2018 and the interview wasn't until June 7, 2019 and swearing in wasn't until July 25, 2019.  Personally, I'd make the trip to Costa Rica for Semana Santa.  You will receive the interview letter about a month before the interview.
My husband will be in Manuel Antonio for Semana Santa.  We are looking forward to the May 26 legalization of same-sex marriages in Costa Rica, and I will apply for Costa Rican citizenship.  I met with my lawyer in Costa Rica last week and was pleasantly surprised to learn that all the days I've spent in Costa Rica as a tourist count toward my year of residency in Costa Rica, so I can obtain Costa Rican citizenship without ever having been a legal resident.  Something you may want to think about down the road after your husband becomes a US citizen.  It's only fair, after all, that you should get citizenship in his home country after he gets citizenship in yours.  Lol

I am not quite sure about those estimations. Online I still see estimated completion for September, although I already have an interview next week. (I sure hope they don't take 8 months to schedule my oath, lol)
I got my interview letter a month before the date of the interview. And IIRC they have to schedule your oath within 120 days after your interview.

I got approved on the 16th of January and my oath ceremony is on the 30th of January.  You should hear back from them very soon. Who knows you might as well be scheduled for the 30th . Hehe

Just approved for citizenship today! Now to wait for the Oath Ceremony. Anyone have any ideas how often the Denver office performs a ceremony? I will read back through the thread for potential details.

alborosie8090 got a reaction from N400NYC in Interview got scheduled, but...what if I rescheduled ?
From what I understand after just getting off the phone with USCIS Tier 1 support, you can call and reschedule your interview if it is while you will be gone. They can do it over the phone. However, be prepared for delays on your case. They explained you'll basically be put "at the end of the line." So yes, you can reschedule, but it will delay your case.

Hi all, I'm an April 2018 ROC filer (CSC). Received a biometrics reuse/waiver letter dated 2/22/19 and then a scheduled biometrics appt letter dated 4/25/19. I find it odd that a couple months later I receive a biometrics appt after initially waiving it. Any thoughts on this or anyone have a similar occurrence?

Hey all - any CSC filers received their biometrics yet? My understanding is if we have not, we can now call USCIS for them to expedite.

At this point, you can call and they will put in a notice to CSC that you still have not received your Biometrics. Tier 1 can do this. It is past normal processing times so you can do that - might not change anything, but it is an option.

I will add a lot of people - mostly CSC filers (including myself and my husband) - are in the same boat. Some filers are getting letters that they are re-using Biometrics from before. We haven't even received that yet though.

my sister lost her green card but has the I-551 stamp (she was travelling with me), so she was sent with me to fall in line.. and we both didnt get to go to THE ROOM. I guess we were lucky..

Just go straight to the line and not the kiosk because what happened to me was I was sent to the kiosk and desk back and forth because one guy (works at the airport) keeps telling me i have a greencard and i should be in line at the kiosk.. and then the guy at the kiosk tells me to go to the desk because I have an expired green card. and it happend 3 times.. I had to look for a different guy working there to confirm where I should go.

    Just sharing.

Bypass any kiosk and go straight to a desk.
You will more than likely be escorted to ‘the room’ for a brief check to verify your status but you will be on your way quickly, as LPR and Citizens are dealt with ahead of non residents.
You are a permanent resident, so don’t worry too much.

As for going with your husband, you fill out one customs form per family, so should be in line together anyway.

Oh lovely! Thank you, I will save that now and have it printed off ahead of time for us to bring with.

@Brian&Larissa + @curiousgeorgina thanks a million for the quick responses. I am happy the experiences have been positive so far, that is really reassuring. I didn't even think about the kiosk part (those things rock, last year when we went it was so smooth and I loved having hubby right along with me!), that stinks, but at least you got through easily. hopefully they will let me go in that line with him because I hate having to go through separate lines. we're together ya know.  Would love to avoid "THE ROOM" though........

There have been quite a few posts recently regarding traveling on an expired GC with the one year extension letter.

Page 38 of this document provides some reassurance:

It also makes clear that the 12 month extension is from the card expiry date, not the receipt date of the I-797.
