Shanelle got a reaction from AlluringSoul in I-751 October 2017 filers
Well, it's been over one year, but finally received my notice of approval yesterday, January 7, 2019, for removing conditions on my green card. Should be receiving the actual card within 60 days. Hip Hip Horrahhh. I don't know where the document is to update those of us who were Oct 2017 filers.

Shanelle got a reaction from pajobra in Golden Corn Syrup substitute for butter tarts?
I found this by accident and had to laugh!! I, too, am from Canada. Moved to California, 01/27/2016 and now waiting to submit my Removal of Conditions. Anyways, a friend of mine just went back to Canada and I had him bring me back a bottle of Rogers Golden Syrup. I told him they were for butter tarts and he had no idea what butter tarts are. I explained. Needless to say, when I make the tarts, I will be sharing them as he was such a good friend bringing it back for me.

Shanelle got a reaction from trublubu2 in OMG I HAVEN'T BEEN APPROVED in 190 days! So awesome! Life is good!
I know, isn't it just grand, being separated from the ones you love............... missing their birthday (my husbands is tomorrow, and, I really didn't want to bake him a cake and prepare a candle light dinner out on the deck with white lights in the trees)....
Hey folks, it could be worse - you could be stuck in Nebraska with me. Not that it would be bad visiting with me, sometimes I can be funny, but, we would all probably have beards as long as RIP Vans by the time we "get outta Nebraska free"..................
And truly, how petty that we should be jealous, bitter, envious, jaded, and the such, when people filed in February and already have their petition sent to NVC, I mean, seriously folks, we deserve 39 lashes with a wet noodle............
Yeah, I know, I'm trying to get through it, and, I'm sorry for all of you are separated from your loved ones and have been so for longer than I have, and, I haven't been separated from my husband all that long, but in my estimation, it's too darn long!!

WOW, M!!, you too are going through an agonizing time with this process, I'm sorry I will pray for you that the rest of this journey goes quickly and all things fall in to place, that your husband's surgery is successful, and that cancer stays in remission. Shanelle got a reaction from Soloenta in NY Times article about processing times. Need info by Monday.

Shanelle got a reaction from bahamamama234 in How to I organize marriage docs to show at marriage interview?
I've read that they like things organized, so, I would suggest that you put things in clear file folders/envelopes with labels so that it is easy for them to find. When you take the time to organize and make their job easier, I think they look upon your case more favourably.
I wish you well with your immigration!

Shanelle got a reaction from luukee in Help with DS-260 - school no longer exist
I would put down the name of the school and if you have report cards, etc., from your school days at that school, I would send copies, or do research and get supporting documentation to prove the school did exist.

Shanelle got a reaction from HollyEslem in G-325A(merged)
a G-325a is required for both the Beneficiary AND the Petitioner.

Shanelle got a reaction from Soloenta in Welcome to the December Support and Rant Thread 2014
This process is definitely not for the "faint of heart" nor, the "weak in the knees". I will be visiting my husband in California for two weeks coming up in January - woo hoo. haven't seen one another since we got married in July . Am taking all the forms and supporting documents with me when I go and we will finally be submitting Round 1 to USCIS, and, I too, am getting "weak in the knees", because, I too, think to myself, and, I am soooo organized..., where did I put that, where is this, did I remember to do this, did I sign in black ink. OY!!
So, I wish everyone all the best and success, and a strong and healthy heart and knees!!
Blessings to all.

Shanelle got a reaction from ChristinaG in NVC Thread for Canadians
congrats to all getting through the process. I am "in the beginning" stage, but, feel somewhat prepared from all the great info and people on this website who have contributed.
So happy for those who are finally "home with their beloved"
Blessings!!

Shanelle got a reaction from Jana636 in Total Fees Required for Completing CR-1
Greetings to all my fellow Canucksters that are in the chaotic world of immigrating to the USA, or have survived the journey.
I'm trying to do a budget for expenses, etc, and, wondering what all the fees total up to for all the processing of forms including the medical.
Thank you to anyone who can help me out

Shanelle got a reaction from Ian H. in Signature on I-864EZ
hmmm, I am just wondering, but, it seems that the husbands have an aversion to filling out the forms, mine included . We were married in July and still haven't got our I-130 submitted yet Thursday night we will be completing the forms via phone call. My portion is complete, so it's his portion of the forms we will be completing.........
I am very anxious to get this ball rolling so that I can be with my husband!! Then, I get overwhelmed by everything that I once knew that had to be done but know I have forgotten because so much time has elapsed. Oy!!

Shanelle reacted to AnotherLostSoul in Husband withdrew I-130 before I got admitted to USA but, I am here
Not surprised she is gone..she figured people read her quiet fast. I just feel awfully bad that this is exactly why USCIS is so hard because of scammers like her. I wish I could do something to help her getting deported, and banned from the US forever. She should not mess around here...just go back home and screw around things there in any way she desires...
