  1. Typo's happen. Both by applicants and officers. It's not a big thing. You sign all applications with the phrase of "the best of my ability" (or something to that effect) That is their legal way of stating "don't lie but we understand people make mistakes" If you have an interview you can point it out and it will be corrected then. I found the N400 interview more a "hey how you're doing let's make you part of the club" than a "let's see if we can find a way to keep you out". Even our 751 interview was really relaxed.
  2. Personally I would wait for the potential RFE vs uploading a correction. Don't be surprised if nobody sees it until you point it out during an interview. After I my oath ceremony I burned most of my paper copies of the whole journey. I spotted about 3 typo's in the K1 petition alone and one giant "oops" with an incorrect check box. Nobody ever noticed it. (including me)
  3. Dragging up this old post to add some new information for those who are going to this right now: Most important the "verklaring behoud Nederlanderschap" is now valid for 13 years!!!!!!! It is no longer the get out of jail card it was. - Verklaring behoud Nederlanderschap can now be applied for "online" https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl is the latest site with info - Passport renewing currently requires a checklist and a bunch of other documents again https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl is the latest site with current info. - Certified true copy of your naturalization certificate is what you need to obtain from the USCIS and then you need to get an apostille from the US state department (whole thing took me about 3 months from calling USCIS to getting the papers back from the state department. Cost is around 25 bucks. - marriage certificate (or divorce decree). State specific. in Virginia I ended up walking into the "office of vital records" 3 miles from my house and they printed it right away. Then I had to sent the whole thing to the State to get their apostille on it. - Passport of Spouse (or ex spouse). Apparently a copy is enough these days. No need for certified birth certificates. - Bewijs behoud Nederlanderschap was 30 euro and took 1 email, one payment (thank god I still have access to a Dutch bank account) and about 3 weeks. - Passport renewal. Being able to even schedule an appointment can be a challenge. I was finally able to get one for 2 months out but it took weeks before one was even available.
  4. Been there done that. I had: Passport 1 expired/voided but with valid B1/B2 visa Passport 2 expired/voided but with valid C1/D visa Passport 3 valid with no visa I had the same type of notation in mine (this passport replaces passport #.....) nobody ever looked at that. As stated above. Airline gets to see your current valid passport and your valid visa. At the border you hand the officer your valid passport and the expired passport with the valid visa. I always brought them all but only gave them 2. It's not nearly as uncommon as you might think.
