it's ok to suggest tricking your spouse out of the country and leaving them in a foreign country with nothing?
I could've sworn I've seen threads closed and members warned about being banned for less, but whatever.

AverysMom got a reaction from Wooderz in NOA1 Received for corresponding I-129F... now what is my service center?
Beware of those who say they've been "transferred" to California. Some people think because they sent the petition to Texas and were assigned to California that they were transferred when in fact they weren't transferred. The petition was just sent off to the California Service Center because the CSC handles petitions from their location. EVERYONE who ends up at the California Service Center sent their petition to the Texas lock box, not to be confused with the Texas Service Center. Check out some timelines from people who were processed at the TSC so you can get a feel for the process. Mine is below, best of luck!

I'm not so sure Mimo. He was well aware of what was taking place before she even stepped foot on the plane. I'd say there's plenty of blame to go around in this case.
Where this thread flew off topic was the ridiculous suggestion that the op take his wife to another country under fraudulent pretenses and dump her there with nothing but the clothes on her back, (and it wasn't a joke like some would like to claim). How that suggestion can be not only applauded by other posters, but reinforced by a mod on this board is completely absurd.

AverysMom reacted to Megan & Luke in Recent transfered from TSC to CSC??????
Believe me, you are not alone in your frustrations over TSC. My fiance and I filed back on July 2, 2014. A month later we were elated to see that a lot of the March and April filers had been transferred in August to CSC. We wrongfully assumed that it would speed things along because TSC was already into processing February by then. We thought heck, how can it take them ages to finish one or two months of petitions? Well, almost 8 months later we received our NOA2 - On January 23. This was after numerous phone calls to USCIS, complaints via the Director's frequent conference calls, letters to my Senators and an official Omsbudsman complaint.
Since you're only a few months in, and with no sign at the minute of transfers coming for anyone at TSC, let me give you some advice that helped us. Don't get me wrong - the months between NOA1 and NOA2 will test your patience and make you extremely angry.
    1. Acknowledge that you may have another 3-4 months wait ahead of you. Don't get excited when you see a random late filer be approved. These are most likely expedites or incorrectly listed service center in their timeline. Prepare for a 7-8 month wait for NOA2.
    2. Start preparing. Read up on the next steps in the process. After your NOA2 things move VERY fast. Within a month our case had left NVC, arrived at NVC, shipped off to the consulate, my fiance had his medical and filed all of his forms. We now just await an interview date. Start gathering the documents you will need. Read up on the embassy website where your fiance will have the interview and see what the specific steps are for that consulate. Some embassies allow you to schedule the medical ahead of time, others allow police certificates to be good for up to a year. You can start gathering everything possible early on while you wait for TSC.
    3. Do not read threads about CSC vs. TSC. It always ends badly, especially with the HUGE discrepancy in processing times right now.You may end up doing what we did and avoid any CSC talk at all - including approval/congratulations posts. Harsh I know.. but it really wears you down eventually and there is nothing you can do about it.
    4. Start preparing letters to your Senator so you can ship them off at your 5 months. Get involved (if you want to) in speaking out about the discrepancy. It hardly ever goes anywhere, but who knows.
    5. Plan your future. If you two will be moving into a brand new place, plan it out and look at finances. Save money and start thinking about the wedding day and what you will do the first day you and your fiance are together here. Shop online for things you two will want to buy.
    6. If you receive an RFE (request for evidence) respond to it as soon as possible with what's been asked of you. Usually receiving an RFE signals that an officer has touched your case and once they receive an acceptable response they seem to adjudicate within 30-60 days (even slow TSC).
These next months will go by very slowly but at some point you will also say to yourself "Wow has it been x months already?". It's a very frustrating position to be in and this process is ANYTHING but romantic. We make the best of it that we can.
So sorry this post went longer than I wanted. Just know you have a lot of company at TSC - both current, former and future filers. Hopefully someone who can balance out these workloads stands up and says something that levels out the playing field. In the meantime you will gain a whole new perspective on patience You're about halfway with the current trend at TSC!
    Good luck!

I just wanted to put a reply here to all who may read this post..... My fiance did his interview and my assumptions were incorrect, there were numerous "rasta" "dreads" at the embassy awaiting interviews and the CO did not discriminate or pass judgement based on his looks... (be advised my fiances' hair is always locked, clean, and smelling god plus his beard is well trimmed) and he dressed nice... mind you not all "rasta/dreads" indulge in the practice of smoking.... nonetheless i am happy to say he was approved!!!! my rasta is coming home soon!!!!

First you need to fill out the dS-160 online and pay Banco Popular. I would just take it a step at a time especially since there are currently no appointment dates for interviews available...don't overwhelm yourself, just start with the Ds-160

For the I-129F it just means have you been face to face with your fiancee within the last 2 years. 9 months ago is obviously within the last 2 years so there is no problem with that. It doesn't say at least 2 years ago- it is within the last 2 years, so 2 minutes ago all the way back to 729 days ago is fine.

I'm late replying here, but what you reported was totally normal. Takes about 2 weeks after the interview. Just keep checking the ustraveldocs site. It will soon say ready for pick up. They will also email you when your packet is ready if you provided a good email address at the time of the VAC appointment.

Please don't take me wrong and I am sorry if I will sound harsh!!
First of all she is not being treated as a slaver but has a very controlling man and I don't know the reasons why he acts like that! But well, she didn't know her man before jumping into marriage? That's one of the reasons I don't agree how easy they make this process for some.
Second, she is a 35 years old woman who works out and make her own money. I know it's not too much to support herself and it's a part time one, but she could live with it without him (Finding a roommate in a cheap neighborhood for instance and etc). I am not saying that living with this money is easy but not impossible. And if she wants she can do some extra work.
And when you ask what to do the answer is SO simple: She should divorce. Apparently she concerns so much about her GC and I am sorry but looking at the whole scenario it LOOKS like she got married to an older man to get her GC and get advantage of his financial situation. I don't know if this man threats her, if so I understand she may be scared but again, she can do something about it.
She is with him because SHE wants, she is old enough to make her own choices. I personally feel bad when I see the topic turning into advices on how to revoke the pre-nup! Really? Why he should pay her money to a healthy young woman with no kids if they divorce, what I think reasonable is to give her part of her monthly money that he ''takes'', nothing else.

My fiance went this morning and the cost was $289.
ALSO, make sure your fiances have their passport with them and know the SDO Number for your case! My fiance called me frantically this morning because she didn't have the SDO number, and only the letter for interview! Luckily she took her passport. They ask for the passport for EVERY STEP of the medical.
    Make sure they have
SDO Number and ZIP CODE of your address.
    PASSPORT ON HAND
KNOW YOUR HOME ADDRESS IN FULL
KNOW THE EMAIL ADDRESS you used for immigration purposes!
And you will be fine! She had to leave the facility twice to get this information from me at 5AM EST this morning!
At the end they put a stamp on the outside of her passport and told her to come pick up her results on that day.
    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK!
