GreenGem reacted to Greenbaum in SLEC Refusal to Release Results
I'm of the frame of mind that there are new people at SLEC. Explain that most times the letter never arrives. So print off the requirements from their website and present. Just stand your ground respectfully.

    Hullo June filers!!!
I am so happy I eventually found this thread. It is comforting to be with people going through the same process. My fiance is from ND and got our hard copy NOA1 in the mail saying CSC and the starting date is 8th June 2015. We are so excited to get the NOA2,there are times we think grow hard skin for the possibility of getting an RFE but what supercedes is Faith that whatever happens the Lord is in control. We hope to be together in November and its never easy being far away from the one you truly love.I am from Uganda and I wish everyone the very best through this journey. Sometimes waiting for the NOA2 feels like the hardest part in comparison with the interview.I tell myself that once we are approved at USCIS I can start all plans and surely feel'

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS
The Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our overseas passport and visa systems. This issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working urgently to correct the problem and restore full operability.
Currently, we are unable to print most immigrant and nonimmigrant visas approved after June 8, 2015. In addition, U.S. embassies and consulates are unable to process new applications submitted on or after June 9, 2015.
Individuals with visa interview appointments scheduled for June 22 and 23, 2015, should reschedule their appointments if they submitted a DS-160 online application after June 9, 2015. Appointments can be rescheduled by following the instructions located on http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph.
Individuals who submitted their DS-160 online applications prior to June 9, 2015, should plan to attend their scheduled visa interview appointments. However, due to technical delays, we will not be able to process your visa in a timely manner.
Those with urgent travel should follow the instructions for expedited emergency appointment found onhttp://manila.usembassy.gov/expedited-appointments.html. At the moment, we will try to accommodate expedited requests for urgent medical treatment (including organ donation), visiting a dying immediate family member, or attending the funeral of an immediate family member. The Nonimmigrant Visa Unit will determine the merits of the request and will provide instructions when the request is approved.

This whole thing is nerve wrecking and a mind blowing process. It needs a LOT of patience and understanding to both parties. Demands should be set aside and sacrifices are needed. It will be worth it once you've finished one step. Just always keep in mind the reason why you're both doing this. Both needs to be humble too and you both should understand that each one of you are suffering in a whole different level. This process is hanging on a thread that can break in any moment. You already have your NOA 2. That's one of the best things people in this process are waiting for. Hang in there. Best of luck!

It is not a right to bring a spouse or a fiancee to the USA. It's a privilege.

Visa is valid within 6 months from the date of the medical.
IR1 petition can take more or less a year.

GreenGem reacted to pushbrk in one simple question about ds 260
The DS260 is a visa application, so it is about the visa applicant. Petitioners never apply for a visa.
Aside: This is one reason why it's so important to use the correct terminology. I-130 is a petition filed by a US Citizen or LPR "petitioner" in behalf of the foreign relative "beneficiary". When the petition is approved, the foreigner applies for the visa, with the petitioner as the primary or only financial sponsor.

GreenGem reacted to ahsan.verma in After completing the ds260, can i send a portion of the Civil Documents now and send remainder later as i get them.
It's better to send all the documents at once to avoid valuable time being wasted.
It's also advisable to send a copy of the original along with the originals if your sending the originals. Because if they are asking for the original than they will keep that for their records, but if you attach a copy of the originals with your file they will return your original.

I made my parents do an early medical once I got their case numbers in January because I was worried about the X-ray thing that if ever one of them would need to that 2 month test at least we could do it while at their papers are still at the NVC. Thank God everything was fine. The medical is valid for 6 months. My parents just showed that email with the case number in it. Goodluck!
