  1. Checklist! 03/06 A couple of little things. We should have it back to them early next week, and the 60 days can start again. Does anyone have experience of shorter waiting times second time around?

Sorry for your checklist. Did you leave boxes unchecked?

I've seen a case where it took like 10 days to review a checklist, the guy couldn't believe it. Let's hope they start doing this regularly.

  2. Thank you to every single one of you that wished me congrats!! I am so thankful to this website! Just got off the phone with NVC and its confirmed I do have a CC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now just waiting for an interview to be scheduled!!!! I hope everyone else waiting now will start to see CCs later today or the rest of this week!!! They are finally moving along guys!! Everyone's time is coming !!!!!

Don't forget to update the spreadsheet :)

  3. GUYS!!!!! I just logged in to check on CEAC & I have an N/A under AoS!!!!!!! Does this possibly mean a CC for me or does it need to be 3 N/As???!?!! I had just checked this morning and there was no N/As omggggggg should I try to call NVC and check on my case??? I know it's peak hours and lines are gonna be busy but I'm so anxious and excited if this means a CC for me!!! I was so worried about a possible checklist!! I can't contain my excitement over this right now!!

Nice! Of course it means CC, what else could it be? :)

    Congrats!

So now we know some NVC reviewers are working on 12/29

  4. Third N/A third N/A third N/A!!!! (checklist doc scan date 12/22). It appeared sometime between 5:45 am and 6:15 pm CST today (3/2).

By all accounts, this is a quasi-sure-thing lead-up to an official CC...right? I don't have the time to call and verify right now because of work...

Can't wait for an interview date...even if it's a little bit off in the future (which it probably will be), having a date will drastically change both of our lives for the better.

    Congrats!

    Most likely it's CC.

Don't forget to update the spreadsheet, it makes the rest of us feel better when we see progress xD

  5. I know the feeling. I got one for not writing 2013 on my sponsors form at one point and not sending a signed statement from my wife to say she has no tax return because she is a student.

I wonder whether checklist reviews go into a different pile? I know that one person got their checklist reviewed in 42 days did they not?

I swear one person from India got his checklist reviewed within ~10 days. You never know.

  6. Scan date dec 22. Got checklisted for not sending in my wife's tax return although she hasn't got a tax return she is a full time student and we have a joint sponsor. Women

Said in that case I need a written latter stating my

Wife is a student and doesn't have a tax return. Seriously annoyed

I newtothelift, sorry you got a checklist, but the good news, everything else is correct, now all you need is writing a simple letter, I hope that's the case.

I've seen cases here where they get a CC after a checklist quicker than the other CC's.

  7. Frustrated can't even begin to explain what I am feeling. I am a US citizen petitioning for my el salvador native husband's greencard. One big hiccup in our case is that he was here illegally. We are past the i130 and I filed a provisional waiver due to an extreme hardship. This is getting excrustiatingly stressful and I can't take it anymore. We sent the visa petition to the NVC back in December. Everytime I try to call these people don't pick up for a whole hour if they even pick up at all. The point is, 60 days finally passed and 62 days later I recieve an email and I was ecstatic only for 5 seconds, until I read that they needed more information. Then I was devastated. I sent what they asked me for, I overnighted it. I call like 100 times the next day until I finally get through and then have to wait an hour until they actually pick up. Just so that they can tell me that I have to wait another 60 days just so that they can review the ONE document they requested! And to top it off they tell me that there is still the possibility that they may need something else! I can't do this anymore. Its not fair that as a US citizen dealing with so much I still have to wait endlessly so thatmy husband can be legal. I love him more than anything in the world and I couldn't bear to be without him. I understand that being in the country was illegaly but neither he or I can change that and what I need now is to feel secure about him being here. I am trying so hard to earn a degree the stress that this process brings along with it isn't one that I wish upon anyone. My poor husband is so hard working and honest and kind, he pays his taxes and provides everything that I need. We don't pose a burden on the government, can someone please give me and type of consolation? I have witnessed many young men and women who have applied for that differred action program with false documents and lies but they have managed to become legal. My husband and I who have done everything by the book seem to get every door slammed on our face! Why????

It seems like the people trying to get in the legal way are the ones treated the worst. It's not fair at all I agree, it's worse than communism how people get treated. The 60 day wait is ridiculous to begin with, and we try to be patient and obey the rules and give NVC their time to finish their job, but in return they complicate things for us with silly check lists and taking more than 60 days.

  8. I agree 100% something has to be done but how, who will listen to us? I'm waiting to confirm but most likely I'll have to go through this all over again and neither my husband or I have committed any crimes. :(

That's really messed up, Soloenta. USCIS/NVC already approved you, why go back there again? It's the embassy that rejected your husband, and they should provide a clear explanation why, and give you a chance to defend yourselves.

I really don't know who would listen to us, NVC/USCIS are used to hearing from congressmen, and they're getting worse and worse (at least NVC), they don't care. The whole system is broken.

  9. Yup day 34 for me.....pure torture lol. At least at the beginning of NVC I could distract myself with all the prep, research, etc. Waiting with nothing to do is tough.

    Good luck to you :)

To me I really don't care anymore about the day count, because NVC can just keep adding more days to the processing time, it used to be 60, now 67, they have no word.

But I encourage you to stay positive

  10. This NVC process is getting worse and worse everyday. I can't believe NVC/USCIS get to delay processing indefinitely, and they're not accountable for that.

60 days is already too much, considering that most of us spent ~1 month to get a case number, and for me another month to pay fees.

And after that we have to deal with embassies interrogations.

This is not fair, that's all I want to say.

  11. Just got through to an absolute dimwitted cowbag at the NVC who told me my case still hadn't been reviewed and tried to tell me it has been 61 days. I kindly reminded her that there are 31 days in both December and January which would make it 63 days. She then refused outright to tell me which date was being reviewed today and did whatever she could to get me off the phone.

I am so sick of being treated like scum by these people. I really hope she burns her toast in the morning, every morning for the rest of the year :ranting:

You did the right thing, sorry you talked to a non-friendly worker.

I know some people get that information from NVC on the phone, regarding what day they're working on.

Not a single CC so far today, it's really frustrating.
