  1. I have been studying this forum for a while now but never posted a thing.

Just wanted to say I saw 3n/a today and called for them to tell me it's a case complete. Yay!

I have not received an email yet.

Do you guys know how long it takes to receive an email

And also how long interview is scheduled?

Thank you all for a wonderful journey.

I have been at the nvc since may..

2 checklists and I feel am almost there..

PS: my aos checklist scan date is 12/17

Congratulations! Good luck with the rest of your journey.

  2. I'm so sad this happened to you, but they say in these situation, the person affected the most will be the toughest, I hope you're handling it well. It's not the end of the world, I'm sure you'll find something positive out of this event, and use it to your advantage. Maybe you can go back and live in Egypt while this complication gets sorted out? Don't let this break you, you will know best what to do next, so think!

  3. Spoke with an agent at NVC tonight. Our scan date is Dec. 10 and we haven't heard anything. I think we are 67 or 68 days out now. The agent told me that the case still has not been reviewed, but it's currently taking about 67 days. I'm OK with that - it will happen when it happens... and they won't make us wait forever! No news is better than bad news.. that's what I'm telling myself.

I hope you get the good news this week, no checklist. You're almost there!

  4. I created a spreadsheet to keep track of all the scan dates.... I will be happy to share it with you. If you want to add yourself or update something you can only add a comment on this form.

Nice work! Can I make a suggestion? Maybe add a column for checklists, because not everyone will get CC, that's the sad reality. You can add me 1/12/15 is my scan date.

  5. Going crazy here.

We called last week about our "confirmation/60 day review" email since we emailed our docs on Jan 16 and heard nothing back. (Not a Tailor got it on Jan 26 and emailed on Jan 11) We got a very rude lady and she wont let us finish asking, just keep repeating "We have not received them. Send them again". We decided to give it another week since we dont want to push back our 60 days.

So we called NVC again today and got the same rude lady. This time she said NVC dont send out confirmation email anymore so dont expect to get one. We were like .. what?

The lady's name is Lidia or Lydia.

I would talk to a Supervisor. If they say they never got it and you should re-send it, then that's fine as long as they give you a scan date equal to the date you sent your email the first time, which you have a proof of, so perhaps a supervisor can help set this up for you.

  6. I got a checklist this week for my husbands birth certificate-I had included the original received at the registry and a photocopy at the end of all the documents. How they managed to lose both of these but nothing else I will never understand. I called and the rep told me she would put in for a supervisor review and that it was 42 days-I tried to get more info but she stuck to 42 days. I too am hoping someone can give us some hope that it will take less time? I sent in a copy of the document anyway in case they do not find it.

Congrats to all with CC's and best of luck to all of us still waiting! I feel especially terrible for those I have read that got 2 checklists-that is just too much to handle.

Sorry they lost your documents, it's quite common.

At least you know hopefully they won't give you any trouble for AOS.

Good question, anyone know how much time are supervisor reviews taking these days?

  7. Hello

I have a question if you can help me please:

my wife did the translations of the documents in morocco, since NVC is accepting photocopies, can we send photocopies of the translations too. ( instead of waiting for the document via mail, she can just scan them and send them by email so I can print them)

    Thank you

Make sure it's certified by the translator that he is fluent in both languages and competent to translate and the translation is accurate and so on, it should be signed (and maybe dated) by the translator.
