Well I hope the NVC has a FULL WEEK with no closures to start catching up!!! Good luck to everyone so close to receiving their CC's. I'm on day 32 and praying this is half way.
32 already! It seems like only yesterday you sent out your packages. Time flies!
I'm only 11 days ahead of you.
Yes let's hope NVC starts catching up.

I wonder if NVC/embassy workers come to these threads and see what they're doing to people's lives. I don't they realize how much they hurt people.

I am a few hours from NVC. No snow predicted for this week. Let's hope for a productive week!
Scan date 1/20
Thank you for the good news! Yes let's hope so! I was worried because of the really cold weather and winter storm going on right now in the East Coast.
Stay warm!

No CCs all this week? Let's hope there will be many CCs next week..... pray hard all the VJs, and NVC Feb. 2015 filers
Actually there were a few CC's from 12/17 and 12/18, it looks like you missed all the action.
Yes let's hope next week will be more exciting. Hopefully they will be open all week, no snow or holidays.

Sorry they did that to you, hopefully that's not the end of it and it will get approved soon.
May I ask, did you visit him recently? Did he show pictures of both of you together?
This is the second denial I saw today, unfortunately, the first one being Soloenta's husband in Egypt. I hope everything works out for you guys, it's just a small obstacle.

After completing the DS-261, and paying AOS fee (shows paid), How long until the IV fee becomes available? Should I call nvc to have them push it through? Thanks
I'm not sure about the answer so hopefully someone else can answer that, but do you know you can go ahead and send out your AOS/IV packages together? You don't have to wait for the IV fee.

I have been studying this forum for a while now but never posted a thing.
Just wanted to say I saw 3n/a today and called for them to tell me it's a case complete. Yay!
I have not received an email yet.
Do you guys know how long it takes to receive an email
And also how long interview is scheduled?
Thank you all for a wonderful journey.
I have been at the nvc since may..
2 checklists and I feel am almost there..
PS: my aos checklist scan date is 12/17
Congratulations! Good luck with the rest of your journey.

I'm so sad this happened to you, but they say in these situation, the person affected the most will be the toughest, I hope you're handling it well. It's not the end of the world, I'm sure you'll find something positive out of this event, and use it to your advantage. Maybe you can go back and live in Egypt while this complication gets sorted out? Don't let this break you, you will know best what to do next, so think!

My scan date is Dec 22nd
Hopefully it will be less than 10 days, like 5 business days, because they're working on the 17th right now.

Spoke with an agent at NVC tonight. Our scan date is Dec. 10 and we haven't heard anything. I think we are 67 or 68 days out now. The agent told me that the case still has not been reviewed, but it's currently taking about 67 days. I'm OK with that - it will happen when it happens... and they won't make us wait forever! No news is better than bad news.. that's what I'm telling myself.
I hope you get the good news this week, no checklist. You're almost there!

VJ Community:
I feel this is good news: My AOS Fee says N/A as of 3 PM Eastern. I checked in morning and it was Paid? Is my Case complete?
My IV Fee still says Paid.
My Scan date was Dec 19 (Had an AOS Checklist).
Congrats! And good news they're back to completing cases.

thanks everyone for your help today...
omg, I'm not a stupid person but today...I was left feeling pretty stupid....how can such a process be so complex? and belittling???
it's done!!!!
both packages sent....
using his and my email addresses.....prayin' that this isn't a problem (......but with our luck, it will )
Congratulations! Now all you can do is wait.
-
Done! When you get a CC (hopefully tomorrow) please insert a comment in there... I will see it and update it for you.
Bulbula got CC on Feb 13th, or at least they saw the 3 N/A's

I created a spreadsheet to keep track of all the scan dates.... I will be happy to share it with you. If you want to add yourself or update something you can only add a comment on this form.

Nice work! Can I make a suggestion? Maybe add a column for checklists, because not everyone will get CC, that's the sad reality. You can add me 1/12/15 is my scan date.

I have a friend married to an Algerian who was assigned to Vermont. She got her NOA 2 in two months.
There's really no rhyme or reason to it.
All I know is we're still waiting
Nebraska is the worst, it's like a prison sentence.
Call them as soon as the 5 months are over.

I think people should stop submitting electronically, many people don't know if their docs were delivered or not. It looks like the process is not as smooth as regular mail submission.

Going crazy here.
We called last week about our "confirmation/60 day review" email since we emailed our docs on Jan 16 and heard nothing back. (Not a Tailor got it on Jan 26 and emailed on Jan 11) We got a very rude lady and she wont let us finish asking, just keep repeating "We have not received them. Send them again". We decided to give it another week since we dont want to push back our 60 days.
So we called NVC again today and got the same rude lady. This time she said NVC dont send out confirmation email anymore so dont expect to get one. We were like .. what?
The lady's name is Lidia or Lydia.
I would talk to a Supervisor. If they say they never got it and you should re-send it, then that's fine as long as they give you a scan date equal to the date you sent your email the first time, which you have a proof of, so perhaps a supervisor can help set this up for you.

I got a checklist this week for my husbands birth certificate-I had included the original received at the registry and a photocopy at the end of all the documents. How they managed to lose both of these but nothing else I will never understand. I called and the rep told me she would put in for a supervisor review and that it was 42 days-I tried to get more info but she stuck to 42 days. I too am hoping someone can give us some hope that it will take less time? I sent in a copy of the document anyway in case they do not find it.
Congrats to all with CC's and best of luck to all of us still waiting! I feel especially terrible for those I have read that got 2 checklists-that is just too much to handle.
Sorry they lost your documents, it's quite common.
At least you know hopefully they won't give you any trouble for AOS.
Good question, anyone know how much time are supervisor reviews taking these days?
-
Many congratulations on the CC!!
But I don't understand how this can be the case? Did you have the process expedited? There are people on here who haven't had their case reviewed yet and their scan dates were 10-16th Dec. It seems painfully unfair.
My scan date was the 22nd Dec. Hoping to hear back by the end of next week
Someone pointed out that the scan date is actually Dec 11.

Hello
I have a question if you can help me please:
my wife did the translations of the documents in morocco, since NVC is accepting photocopies, can we send photocopies of the translations too. ( instead of waiting for the document via mail, she can just scan them and send them by email so I can print them)
Thank you
Make sure it's certified by the translator that he is fluent in both languages and competent to translate and the translation is accurate and so on, it should be signed (and maybe dated) by the translator.

Another person with scan date of 12/30 got a scan date... There really is no ryhmn or reason to NVC process!
Actually I saw one person with 12/30 scan date and CC over a week ago, and yet another one today.
-
That's what they told me too, and that's what I did. Go ahead, send your packages, but keep an eye on the IV bill, the invoice should not take that long to show up.
-
For me it took 2 weeks after sending the RFE to get NOA2.
-
anybody who got a RFE from nebraska and sent it back, how long after that to hear back for a decision?
2 weeks for me, that was back in October.
I saw another member who sent back an RFE and in 2 weeks he got NOA2.

I think it takes place ~ a day or 2 days after CC, but I'm not sure.
I would call to find out what date they're working on.
