My priority date is 03/27/14. It's already past 7 months. Nov 27th would make it 8 months. Getting really frustrated with this ####### of a system. No ill feelings towards anyone but someone with just a student visa can bring their spouse into US in mere months but for citizens it takes forever.

You're 100% correct. It is not a good system.

I checked at https://ceac.state.gov with NVC case number and its says Ready.

NVC is taking close to the 60 days + or - a few. It would be best to plan the 60 days. My case is still there since may, coming up on 6 months at the NVC, because of a "computer glitch" in August. And it is looking like there is a possibility they lost one of my docs. Still waiting to hear back from them.

For those who filed both I-130 and I-129F, did you find the I-129F to be useful?

I used to read that I-129F was not processed, but I've seen a couple of cases here where I-129 seems to be faster.

I submitted a service request 2 weeks ago, and checked my status online yesterday, I found that my case is back to stage 1 (Acceptance). It used to be at stage 3 (Request for Evidence), but now it's back to stage 1

I got and RFE on Friday. I still don't have the RFE letter so I don't know what it's about. For those who got RFE's, can you put the description of your RFE?

Hello everyone! Our I-130's PD was March 18 and no approval yet....hoping to hear something soon. I plan to call in a couple days for an update.

My PD was March 17th, and no approval yet. I called 7 days ago, and they submitted a service request for me and told me that I would hear from them in 15 days.

I'll call them up tomorrow and tell them that I'm not happy. I don't know what else to do.

I especially love how fast they process the payment, and how slow they process the rest of the application. Almost 6 months for me and counting :\

Did you call USCIS?

I called USCIS and they told me that my case was out of normal processing time (PD 3/17/14), and they submitted a service request for me, I should be hearing back from them in 15 days.

Tavotevi gave them a call and he got NOA2 in like 2 days after that, so you never know.

Thanks guys! I said this in the nsc thread! I called on tuesday only because it was 2 days more than my 5 months and they told me it was still within normal time...but i feel it helped and they touched my petition, it didnt hurt i say u guys give it a try if u get to your 5 months!

Our I130 was approved today 3/14/14 PD, and NOA2 9/3/14.

I called today, my pd is 3/31. They are still on 3/16 so i have to wait until they reach my date. They told me to call in 2 weeeks... I say you might be hearing news this week! You can try e-request and see if it lets you, it didnt let me...

My wife is a Syrian national living in Saudi Arabia, and we have an I-130 application pending.

What documents specific to Syrian nationals does the NVC required? We're worried about surprises.

I know we need:

- birth certificate

- marriage certificate

- copy of passport
