Sorry, I like reading people's stories and helping the best I can but I'm not touching this one, why would anyone try to help someone with your moral character stay here? You can go back to the Philippines with all your drama....and stop making it harder for the rest of us.

When I put it to my ear I hear the screams of the thousands of cards that my card has seen rotting in the caves of the NBC...he's seen some things

As far as I know, I believe you have to have your interview date when you call for the medical appointment....

There is nothing he has to prove about his marriage. The greencard should be good for 10 years. He can renew it over and over for 10 more. If he wants to become a citizen, he waits 5 years and applies. It is only those who apply after 3 years that have to be married to their USC petitioner.

    This sounds like an error.
Try calling the automated status information line for the Executive Office of Immigration Review, at 1-800-898-7180. Follow the prompts and input your wife's alien number, and see if there are any hearings listed. If it comes back with nothing then it's probably an error on USCIS' behalf, mixing your case up with someone else's.

MissSarah reacted to ascertainLovE in OMG I HAVEN'T BEEN APPROVED in 190 days! So awesome! Life is good!
I just want to let everyone know how happy I am that I haven't been approved yet in the TSC! Things are moving so quickly! What should I be preparing for the NVC stage because I am just so excited just waiting for my approval which will probably come some time in 2019. The other day I received some strong words of encouragement from a neighbor whose wife is from the Phillipines. He told me to hang on and be patient. He petioned for a K1 visa for his wife on July 1, 2014. He later invited me to their wedding in NY on July 2, 2014. It was incredible. I was like: "that was fast! I need to relax!"
So yeah, here I am, typing on VJ. I have been on hold for about a week waiting to speak to a Tier 2 officer. Trying to dream and wait for someone to answer the phone is pretty tricky!
Good luck VJer's. I am just loving life here in the TSC!

We were happy about it as well until we tripped upon this thread in the summer of 2014 and saw that PIWC was pergatory...Then we latched on Processing Times and that was a farce...And then we latched on the 6 month mark from the NPIW letter and that was a farce... And then we latched on the less than 12 months and that is becoming a farce...In every single case we have seen that Interview Waiver status is nothing more than a death sentence on hold awaiting the governor to call...

File a new I-485. There is no grounds to appeal since you did not respond to the RFE in time.

AP can be a variety of things. They could be reviewing your paperwork, doing additional background checks, or just about anything.
I would call the embassy on Monday to verify that you can pick up your passport/visa on Tuesday. When my husband(the fiance) had his interview in 2012(in Tunisia), he too was told he was approved and come back next week to pick up his passport/visa. I made sure he did not buy his plane ticket though, as I knew there was a chance for AP or even with say printing the visa. He went back on the day he was told and sure enough, he was told that sorry you are in AP now, here is your passport. We will call you when you can come back and bring your passport for the visa. It took almost 2 months for them to call him again and this was after us calling everyday to see if there was any news and also calling my senator(which we had done for the petition as it was past normal processing times). If you have already booked your ticket, and you don't have your visa, hopefully you can change the ticket.

Never, ever make travel plans until you have the passport with the actual visa stamped in it.

I went to do my biometrics today. I was inside for literally 2 minutes, it took longer to get past the giant turkey that was guarding the parking lot than to do my fingerprints. That's not trash talk about useless USCIS employees, it was a literal turkey. I thought about submitting a service request with him, figured he would be just as knowledgeable as the people inside.

It is very weird, well not really, this keeps happening weird messages without service requests. I guess it means they are concentrating on your case, wish they would leave me a message other than your fingerprint fee has been received even Happy New Year would be better than that damn message!

Based on what the op has said, VAWA will probably be inevitable once she realizes he's not going to comply any longer.
OP, make sure you document all interactions with her and do not meet with her privately, always make sure you meet in a public place or with other people around. Also try to document everything she has done since your marriage.
