Zedayn got a reaction from KayDeeCee in Hi, I have a few questions.
The passport needs to have a validity period of at least 5 years: ie from issue date to expiration date. You do not need to have at least 5 years remaining before it expires.

You will not be eligible for the K-1 visa if you are married.

All pages means ALL pages. To be more perfectly clear, it means every single page from the inside front cover to the inside back cover. You do not need to include the outer cover of the passport, just everything inside.

For the I-864, you and your children are NOT included in your co-sponsor's affidavit. He would only claim himself, his wife and the new immigrant.

It is unlikely you will have the wedding in September. The best advice would be to cancel your current wedding plans, let everyone know who you sent the invitations out to, and just WAIT until you have the visa in hand before making new wedding plans.

This is the chart which shows what age appropriate vaccinations you need before adjusting status: http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#tbl1
From this list, your fiancée should only need MMR, Tdap and varicella. The Human Papillonomavirus is not a required vaccine for AOS. The influenza vaccination is only needed during flu season. If your medical is not during flu season, you are not required to get the vaccine, nor should you be required to get it later if you file AOS during flu season. When they adjudicate your AOS application, they will look at the date of your medical to determine if you were or were not required to get the flu vaccine.
Also, you only need the first shot in a series for AOS.
Hope this helps...and glad to see another Iowa filer!

An annulment is not a divorce. An annulment means the marriage never existed.
You will put SINGLE, and include the annulment documents with the petition.

It may take a few days or a couple weeks to get your package back. The only thing you can really do is wait until you have the package back, and then resend it with the payment.

For the addresses, you don't have to put the complete street address, you can put just the city/state and that will be fine. I was able to put all my past jobs on one line each.

Zedayn got a reaction from sweet cakes in I-864 Part 5 Question
It tells you on the I-864 form to not count anyone twice. You already put your wife in number 1, so you do not list her as your spouse in number 3. Part 5 number 3 should be 0.
If your mother is a joint sponsor to your wife, then she will also need to fill out her own I-864.

Zedayn reacted to kehills in Should we get a website?
Use a website if you need one for family. (We used one so family and friends who hadn't met our significant other would have a clue as to what's going on, given the whole "living on separate continents" thing.)
We didn't use our website for VISA purposes, but we did use things on Facebook and Twitter as supplementary; people responding to engagement news, etc.
IMO (and please note that the "my opinion" part there is the important part), it's not a good idea to set up things for immigration, but to let your proof of relationship to immigration be a natural outgrowth of your relationship and the needs of that relationship, within all appropriate cultural contexts.

Your petition will be automatically extended. A lot of us are in the same situation because its so hard to get an interview slot. Don't worry as long as they understand you are still actively pursuing the visa (since you paid the visa fee already) they will just extend it and it won't cause any problems.

Zedayn got a reaction from Caryh in Too much information?
Including your career/address plans for the future with the I-129F is not needed. When your fiancée has her interview at the embassy, this is when you will need to prove your support. They are interested that you meet the poverty guidelines, not so much your career plans. If when your fiancée attends the interview, you either need to have enough income and/or assets to meet the poverty guidelines, or you would need a co-sponsor (if one is accepted at your embassy).
Ticket records are not proof of meeting, they are only proof you bought the tickets. Examples of good primary evidence include: boarding passes, passport stamps, receipts, etc. You can also include secondary evidence such as photos, but these by themselves do not prove you have met in person. It is not needed to include a note of explanation or ask them to search USCIS records. YOU are the one to provide them the information they need, not the other way around. If they don't have what they need in front of them, they will request more evidence from you.

Hi there! Welcome to VJ! Don't worry, moderators will move your thread in a more appropriate forum, if needed.
Just to add to what Zedayn said, is your fiancee-to-be a US citizen? If so, then she can file an I-129f petition for you. And also, you both have to be free to marry and have seen each other within 2 years prior to filing the I-129f.
There are more information on the links (blue header) atop any VJ page. The "guides" like the ones posted above by Zedayn are good enough for you to get the big picture.
    All the best!
