  1. If you have a mailing address in the USA, use it. Your physical address is what it is, but since you live abroad, you are also going to need to provide evidence of your intent to re-establish domicile in the USA. Do state your domicile as USA though. That's a separate question. Since nothing is going to be mailed abroad, a US address for mailing is best. Yes, become an A-Student of the excellent I-864 instructions.
  2. Great. Then they need plenty of evidence. I hope they spent lots of time together.
  3. You're doing the right thing. His DS260 asked about any arrests. He answered honestly and is providing the needed record. There will be questions about this and possible complications, but I predict eventual success, if this is the full story.
  4. So, you did not bother to follow the instructions and send any evidence of bona fide relationship, OR the passport photos of the petitioner. Since the beneficiary is outside the USA, the are not required for them, but you can send anyway. Most important is evidence of time spent together in person. Primary evidence of visits in the entry and exit stamps in the traveler's passport. Secondary evidence is photos together, and examples of how and how frequently you communicate. Don't send any "affidavits". WHICH COUNTRY? It matters.
  5. AGI is irrelevant. While it is sometimes the same number, the "total income" is what's relevant. Definitely upload the offer letter, but how is it you intend to qualify as sponsor. An offer letter is not enough.
  6. If USCIS sent an RFE, you are not at the NVC stage. Please remove any personal information and post the exact wording of the RFE. Also share the country.
  7. More likely what I wrote is closer to the truth for last year and now. I suppose it's possible they brought in extra staff temporarily, but I doubt it.
  8. I'm not sure of the current timelines, but why do you think they are having mass expedites in January? To be clear, no Consulate has time for mass expedites. They only have so much staff and so much time for interviews. What IS true is they do fewer interviews in December because of both the Philippine and American holidays. They are closed for both, and many of the American staff in nearly all Consulates take time off around the holidays, like normal people.
  9. Unless you want them coming 18 to 24 months apart, petition both at the same time, so they come together. There's nothing FAST about the process. It takes 18 to 24 month now.
  10. Actually, you have to ask NVC. NVC will require documentation that you are either a citizen or legal resident of Saudi currently. Without that, there is no opportunity to "ask Saudi".
  11. Send what you suggested. No telling whether anything carried in will actually be asked for. The issue is to be prepared for anything.
  12. True but a separate issue. It is my understanding the criminal record is for a step child though.
  13. In a Visa case no USCIS workers are involved. NVC and the Consulates are Dept. of State, not Homeland Security.
  14. Yes. "Looking online" is not the same as becoming an A-Student of the I-864 instructions. It's also not the same as getting correct advice here, from "me". However, I and other members here are not a substitute for the instructions. If you don't study them, you won't know what you don't know, so won't know what to ask. Follow my advice and the form instructions and you'll do ok.
  15. It's critical you become an A Student of the I-864 instructions. Your questions indicate you have not. You are the sponsor. Dad is not a "household sponsor". He is a joint sponsor, who provides an I-864 in addition to yours. If Dad is married, his spouse provides an I-864a. Those instructions are clear, that at least the most recent tax return copy or Tax Return Transcript are required, AND proof of both US Citizenship (if a citizen) and evidence they actually currently live in the USA are required. Get on that homework.
  16. Because it's correct. This is also covered in the form instructions, but much easier to find, right on the page I quoted. The page from which the form itself is downloaded.
  17. Use parents' address as where she will live, but also as your mailing address. You living abroad has not bearing on Consular Processing. Your spouse lives abroad, so Consular Processing. You are no longer an LPR. Not applicable.
  18. USCIS forms do not expire. The date for official comment on the forms expire. English is spoken and written in complete sentences. Don't just pick one word in the sentence and ignore the rest. I know the section doesn't look like a "sentence" and does not end in a "period" but the part you are reading mentions OMB and a number. If it is the currently accepted form, it's ok. For that, you use the "issue date". 12/08/21. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions. Dates are listed in mm/dd/yy format. If you complete and print this form to mail it, make sure that the form edition date and page numbers are visible at the bottom of all pages and that all pages are from the same form edition. If any of the form’s pages are missing or are from a different form edition, we may reject your form. If you need help downloading and printing forms, read our instructions.
  19. In Spanish, for a Consulate in a Spanish speaking country. No translation needed.
  20. No, don't send the actual passport. For joint sponsors, you must show their status AND their domicile. A tax return does neither. Use a utility bill with both names.
  21. Always best to bring the most original document available, and a photocopy. Pay close attention to the difference between the words "and" "or" etc. They are there for a reason. Don't interpret "or" to mean "and".
  22. Be sure it is the right court first. If they cannot find any file, ask them to put that in writing.
  23. The idea of "using income" is not valid, in this context. The affidavit of support is a contract. The proper thing to do in your case is not to combine YOUR income with anybody, but rather to have one of your parents be the "Joint Sponsor". Joint sponsor provides I-864 and combines income with their joint filing spouse, who provides I-864a in conjunction with their spouse, not the petitioner. It is a common misconception that the sole purpose of the affidavit of support is to prove "qualification". Yes, the sponsor must qualify, but the real purpose is the contract and it's obligations.
  24. Any person claimed as a dependent on the federal tax return is counted in the household size.
