I'm assuming I wouldn't have to, but my K1 visa interview should be happening in the next couple of months and I would like to make sure. My fiance has been living with me for the last year and a half. Since we're not married, we couldn't file for his residence in my country (Serbia), so we've been country-hopping the entire time. We get 90 days within a 180 day period in most countries. We really liked Albania and we've been spending roughly 90 days in, 90 days out, while traveling inbetween. This is our third 3-month long stay here since last September. Neither of us acquired any sort of long stay visa or residency during this time, and we spend less than 6 months here in a calendar year, so I would assume I don't need an extra police check from Albania, which would be impossible to get in my opinion since they don't do address registration here. Does anybody have experience with this? Thanks!!
Hi All, I realize someone posted about having this issue back in January, but given all that's happened this year, I thought I might try again. The NVC has approved all of my Australian husband and I's documents, except for the National Police Check. They rejected our first upload October 20th, and it took nearly a month for my husband to get fingerprints done, mail them off, have them reviewed, and then a new PC mailed back to him. He uploaded a new National Police Check (Full Disclosure and matches exactly what the CEAC asked for) on November 18th, but they've rejected it again with no further explanation. Someone before had mentioned writing in the document comments that we did, in fact, upload exactly what was requested and available according to the Australian Federal Police (the issuing authority), but I wondered if anyone had luck with any other method? This is beyond devastating, really, and just feels incredibly helpless. What else can you do but follow the directions you're given?? **Note: We have an immigration attorney who is helping us, but she's not sure why this is happening either!
Hi everyone, I'm a non-Australian national who had previously lived in Australia for a few years. As part of the K1 visa requirement "Police clearance obtained from all countries of residence of more than six months since the age of 16" would like to know if anyone has answers to this: 1) Purpose of police check: Current threads for aussies indicate #33, does the same apply for non-Australians? (#33 Immigration/Citizenship - for supply to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection OR #35 Overseas Visa - Supply to a Country Other than Australia) 2) Postage of police check: Noticed that no additional charges were indicated beyond the standard AUD42 even though mailing address is outside of Australia, does this fee include overseas postage? Thanks in advance!
I live in Vancouver and need to get an rcmp check. How does one actually do this? - can I go to a local police station and do it there? - or can I do it all through commissionaires (screenshot included) or do they just take it through the fingerprint? - does it matter if it’s ink or digital finger printing? usually you have to put in a lot more information or fill out a form, do you need to do this for the rcmp? Im So confused!
