My mother fell down the stairs at age 72 and fractured her skull and had brain damage
She had fabulous treatment and eventually got into a beautiful local authority residence with patios and gardens and summer houses. I have been in worse 4 star hotels.
At age 92 she had a FULL HYSTERECTOMY
At age 94 she broke her arm and later her femur
She died surrounded with great carers when she was 95
Then I turn on the telly and some Republican is lying through his teeth saying in the UK you will be left to die over age 50 and they give you an aspirin and send you home.
The Americans aren't stupid - they are just lied to and don't know the truth
The total cost for my mother - all health care and all residency costs from age 72 to age 95 - NIL - NOT ONE CENT !
My red passport is my lifeline

    Go back to Europe.
Would your country let as many immigrants in as the US? No. Look at the way Europe is treating asylum seekers.
You are a disgrace of a human being. You are the epitome of a snotty European. You are a user. You want to use the US for US citizenship.

F.U. This country does not owe you US citizenship. YOU OWE THIS COUNTRY FOR LETTING YOU LIVE AND WORK HERE.
You didn't have to come here. You made a choice. You can choose to leave.

If you hate and have no respect for the people here, then why do you want to be a US citizen?
You can leave here without a US passport. You don't need a US passport to leave here and live in Europe.
Euro trash who wants the advantage of US citizenship and talks poorly of the people he wants to join.

"Roughly 5 million of the estimated 11 million people who entered the country without legal authorization or overstayed their visas could be protected under a leading option the White House is considering, according to officials who discussed the proposals on condition of anonymity."

So tell me... why is everyone on this site freaking out about what sections to be put "N/A", "None" etc...?? We are made to wait, and others are denied for stupid reasons or put on hold indefinitely for reasons they will not even release!
Why are our foreign partners subject to body screenings, vaccine screenings, and all different kinds of checks whether it be biometrics or otherwise? Then they are hassled by the T S A in coming into this country, and immigration officers.
Why do we have to pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ amounts of money just to get them here to then TURN AROUND and pay another $1000+ so they can STAY?
We are the legit ones following the rule of LAW yet the government (and the idiots who run it) let illegal ALIENS who are breaking not just national but international law to cross the border, and they are then establishing amnesty for them based upon what?
I am SO SICK of seeing news just being rubbed in my face, and hearing people I talk to about it say "ohh they can pay taxes, they can help the govt if we just give them amnesty".
    WHAT A JOKE!
What does it even mean to be American anymore? If you can just fly into Mexico and cross the border, and get Amnesty???
It is just NOT right. If they give amnesty to these illegal national/international law breakers then why cant they give amnesty to us? Why do we have to pay the piper of "immigration" and follow the law to the "t" or never see our loved ones.
Why do our love ones have to go through all the screenings, biometrics, vaccinations, and everything else leading up to an interview with the fear of never being able to fulfill the desire of being with the one they love.
Then when they get here we have to jump through more hoops than a circus monkey who is doing it for peanuts.
    Just to stay here!
    /End Rant
To be honest I would rather see my taxes go to the honest people on this site, than a bunch of law breakers.
    /End Post.
    Sigh. Whatever. Freaking ridiculous.

Best of luck to you guys, I'll continue to monitor to see how you're all getting on.

I'm really sorry you guys haven't heard anything yet.
I really hope none of you take this as boasting, as I'm only updating my status as per what we agreed at the beginning of my post.
I have received an email from the Embassy today telling me my visa was with the delivery company (DX Group) now.
The link to DX shows delivery of my visa tomorrow, but not heard anything from them directly so not getting carried away just yet.
I'll update again tomorrow with any news, really hope you guys get some news soon.

If you are in 'ready' as a nonimmigrant typically, based on what I've dug up from various other threads on this site, is that you'll be put into AP and issued soon. I cannot say that is still the case with the delay, as like I previously stated it does seem to depend on the individual embassies. However, if you are moved to nonimmigrant this is a step in the right direction. That's the best I can give you for now.
Praying for everyone tonight that we can get an answer before the (what is going to feel like a long) weekend ahead of us.

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.

Well, for the sake of speculation, even if the US offers an amnesty to undocumented aliens and allows them to apply for immigration benefits, why should this mean you no longer pay for the immigration benefits you are requesting and receiving? An amnesty only allows for an opportunity to apply - which undocumented aliens do not have at this time. It does not provide them 'free' processing or 'free' benefits. They would still have to pay the costs involved - and for certain circumstances will most likely also be required to pay penalties in addition to the costs, the same as anyone else requesting a benefit.
You are using an immigration service. You pay a fee to request the service. If the service is granted, great. If the service is denied, not so great, but you don't get your money back because they have done the work you requested; the answer wasn't what you wanted, but you still got the service - the review of the request for the immigration benefit.
I think you are mixing up apples and oranges. You already have the ability to apply for an immigration benefit and you are paying the requisite fees necessary to obtain a desired benefit. Amnesty would merely grant those who currently do not have the right to apply for an immigration benefit, the opportunity to request an immigration benefit. It won't be given to them free of cost and they, like everyone else, will pay a fee for the service and any user fees in order to obtain any benefits for which they may now qualify.
Nothing has been taken away from you, nor anything given to someone else at a reduced or cheaper cost than you are paying. Why would you get any money back? As Judge Judy likes to say - "you've eaten the steak; you pay the check". Amnesty means that those who have been hovering around the garbage bins in the back yard trying to scrounge something to eat will now be allowed to order from the menu - and pay for that order.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you make your flight.
I haven't yet booked my flight, but do have the wedding booked for August 24th, so can handle a small delay.
Best of luck to both of you lads, and as you said, hopefully we'll get some news tomorrow.

Yes this also happened to me at Vancouver consulate a few weeks ago. My interview was July 10th and it took an extra week for my visa to get issued and printed because of a worldwide computer issue that happened July 11th. It that has since been fixed, my visa has been issued and recieved. Makes me wonder if this is another/different issue, or media getting wind of a problem from a few weeks ago.
The email I received from the consulate dated July 18th:
There was a delay in the processing of your K-1 visa because late last week there was a severe worldwide computer issue and our systems were down. Once the system came back up on Monday, it basically took time to catch up on all the cases that were affected by this computer problem. We have since issued your visa, your package is being shipped to Loomis this afternoon. Please wait for Loomis to contact you by email to advise you when to pick up your package at the Loomis location you selected.
