Woohoo, we are done with the interview.  Thanks Guys!

It took us each around 15-20 mins. The officers were the best you could ever meet. Both of us were kept very relaxed throughout the interview and shared some lighter moments too and were very professional.

We reached about 45 mins earlier and after checking in,  the officers greeted us and took us to their interview rooms. First I was called in and later after I was done with, my better half was called in. Our experiences with the officers were strikingly similar and so I'am collectively putting our experience  together.

After we were put under oath and our officers asked a few basic questions like full name, date of birth, country of birth and address. Then we  were asked about any other recent trips taken outside USA after our last trip to India that was mentioned in the N-400, Employer's name and then it was straight to the English reading and writing tests. The questions were
    * Who was the president during Civil War?
    * Who lives in the White House?

    Written components were
    * Abraham Lincoln was the President during the Civil War.
*The President lives in the White House.

    The Civic Questions were
    * What does the Judicial branch do?
    * Who is the Chief Justice of the United States
    * What is one power of the federal government?
    * What are the 2 major political parties of the United States?
    * What is the political party of the President now?
    * What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?
    * Who was the first President?
    * Who did the United States fight in World War II? (both of us had this question)
    * Name one state that borders Canada?
    * What is the capital of the United States?
    * When do we celebrate Independence Day

We both got the first 6 questions right and were told that we passed the test. Then the officers went over the  part 12 of the form and finally were asked to check our details on the ipad and sign. They congratulated us that were are being approved and can expect the letters for the oath ceremony soon. We were given the Form N-652 that says Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval.

During our time at the office all those who had their interviews today were approved and that was about 8 other people!

That's it folks. Sorry 'bout the long message. Hope this is helpful.

Good Luck everyone and pray all get approved fast.🙏 😊

Where does she actually intend to actually live? Where do you intend to actually live?
If it's in the US, then she needs a visa that permits residency....a CR-1/IR-1 immigrant visa being the most logical choice.
If it's not in the US, then she needs a visitor visa.

A green card requires maintaining permanent residency with the US.
A tourist visa does not permit living in the US.

If she wants to live in the US, her petitioner must also establish domicile in the US. It's a family reunification visa...there's no reunification if you aren't coming too.

Something will have to give - either you go with her, she doesn't go at all, or you abandon the plan to study in the US.

KYUK got a reaction from NxN in Buying a House on Conditional Green Card
We bought out house while my husband was on a conditional green card.   I did have 1 lender who told me my husband could not be on the mortgage with a green card (i knew this to be incorrect information so just moved on) I had a 2nd lender who told us that while my husband could be on the loan it would be easier not to include him and refused to move forward in the process unless we agreed to the mortgage being only in my name.  We ended up going with a mortgage lender from a local bank.  She assured us his green card was not a problem conditional or not, and she frequently worked with people in the same situation.  we went thru the process with no problem, and even received a first time home buyer grant to cover the down payment.

I feel like I have told this a million times and don't want to bore you to death. Here is our case: I am 66, he is 50. We have known each other almost 7 years. I have made 8 trips to see him, one since his interview. We had 6.5 pounds of evidence. I didn't want to go all the way to Pakistan at first, took 2 years of friendship before I would meet him. I had no intention of marrying anyone or even having a special friend. We met in Serbia (a halfway place and just by deciding a place randomly). This is where we met 5 times. He lived there for 3 years. Then when all the migration started, they would not give him another visa unless we put 15,000 in the bank, which we refused to do. This after having a good business there for 3 years with no problems. So he moved back to Pakistan. I went and visited him on our 6th visit, and we got married. I have been back twice to visit him since we got married, the last time this Sept.

The questions at his interview were standard. Then he was taken into a second room where the Pakistani man who had listened to him talk to the first interviewer lit into him. He smirked and said she has been married 4 times, you are the 5th? He said yes. The man said in Urdu, "A US visa isn't everything." He was treated very disrespectfully, but that's all that was said as far as anything negative. He wasn't accused of anything, and neither was I. The Pak guy just aid a couple of times about my divorces. I was married twice before I was 30 for a short time, then was married for 23 years, where he had a midlife crisis and left, would not work on our marriage. I brought a Moroccan over on a K1. We divorced when he assaulted me. So Jamil is my 5th husband, but I never knew that was a crime to get divorced several times.

This is our story. Evidently being divorced is more of a crime than being in jail, being unemployed, or any number of other things. I seriously don't know what else it could be. He is honest, has never been in trouble. Two of his kids have finished Cambridge (Had to throw that in, I'm proud). He is a tour owner by trade, but still has his export business to Serbia. I'm a teacher of 43 years with no arrest or anything. I have no kids, and am a respectable citizen.

That's our story. I'm not embarrassed to be divorced. I can say that I probably rushed into a couple of them, but as far as I know, that's not a crime.

So, that's it. I am so sad I don't know what to do. We are about at wit's end. I need to work for several more years. I don't think I should have to give up everything I have worked for for 50 years because the immigration people won't let him come here. I have some health problems where I need meds, need the health insurance. My brother has MD and I don't want to leave him.I am just so pissed I can't see straight. This has stressed us so much that we have both developed more health problems.

KYUK got a reaction from Ksenia_O in Struggling to get these docs for ROC...
My husband and I each have a 401k thru our employers.  They are with separate companies (he is with Fidelity, i am with Voya).  Neither include the beneficiary on the statement, just the account holder's name.  we contacted both when preparing our ROC documents and were told to print the beneficiaries page form the web portal.  the page shows the account holder and the beneficiary information,  I just made sure to get the full screen so they could tell it was from the company's web portal.  Since a 401k is setup thru an employer we also reached out to Human Resources/ Benefits with our employers, explained our situation and asked if they could provide anything.  My company was able to send us a letter on company letter head stating when David was added as a beneficiary along with a copy of the form i submitted to add him.    His company also told us to print the information from his HR/ Employee portal.

On the credit card statements, does it show the last 4 digits of the card that made the purchase?  We also submitted statements for a credit card with me as the account holder and him as a authorized user.  The statements are addressed to me (as the account holder) but the purchases show the last 4 digits of the card that made the purchase.  So we included copies of our cards to show we were both making purchases.

K3 is obsolete so dont even think about it anymore regardless of what the USCIS or anyone tells you.  Even if it does go through to interview, which happens less than 1% of the time, it's an inferior visa to the CR1, takes the same amount of time, and costs twice as much.
