nobbie got a reaction from codie in medical again in USA due to incomplete vaccination record ?
I have just filed AoS and have only got 1 MMR shot on my vacc record from Knightsbridge, however as i understand it you only have to have the correct shots which were applicable at the time of the medical. I could only have 1 MMR and TD as that is what was medically correct at that time. I will see what happens!!

I took mine but they said we are not interested we just want the decree absolute to make sure you are free to marry. So do not worry, they most likely will not be interested.

It was not NVC, it was US embassy London who cocked it up.

When you get packet 3 it will tell you, however as you will receive it after 1 Sept then I would suggest you do the 260.
Has the embassy received your docs from NVC yet. I would be wary of sending stuff too early in case they dont know who you are and your forms get put in a pile of stuff from folk they do not know about yet.
I think the best thing is to let it run it's course, do what they tell you when they tell you, it will not go any quicker by trying to pre empt the process.
If you send in DS2001 you are saying you are ready and yet you are not going to send either DS260 OR DS230 pt1, that definately will not help.

Certified copy is what it says if it's not the original and is fine, thats what I had.
You wont need an esta as you will be entering as a K1.
Esta is for visa waiver and you have a visa, or will soon anyhow.

As for CIMT have a look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_turpitude
Drink driving is not a CIMT according to the table.

I would not try it, it's a 1 shot visa so if you enter and trigger the 90 days to get married you must, or leave and have to start again I would imagine.
Just get him over or meet somewhere else.

    General point.....
If they did this part of the process in any sort of order it would be a break with established practice
The NOA2 process appeared utterly random and grossly unfair. In comparison the UK Consulate seems the model of process by comparison. The fact that they will make an attempt to accommodate peoples plans seems a plus point to me. The fact that some may choose to "abuse" it by making up wedding and travel plans is what could be construed as unfair. That said as everyone gets a shot at bending the process to their timetables you could argue it is actually fair enough.
In my ever so humble opinion this whole problem comes about because people set fixed dates and then try to bend the visa process (if you can call it a process) to meet their fixed dates. I for one never thought it would be like that. I planned on going to the US in the Autumn, sorry Fall and consequently whilst I've slavishly followed any news of fellow January filers I've just sat back and done what was required by the stated process when I needed to. And so far it's pretty much gone to plan albeit I might have an interview a few weeks earlier than planned.
I've been in a long distance relationship for over four years now (scary....) so I can wait a bit longer - others ? well YMMV.

In London you need your police cert (or copy) to take with you to the medical. You do not say at what stage you are at so its a bit hard to tell. Seems to be a 2 week wait for medical in London. I got my police cert well in advance, waited until my applications showed" in transit" from the NVC and then booked medical on the grounds that they will have my stuff in London by the time I do the medical. Once I am out of the medical I shall bung my DS forms including readiness for interview in the post.
You can send your stuff off before the medical but they will not schedule an interview until you have had the medical. You need to enclose a cover letter with your readiness form etc and it should state the date of your medical.

It's no longer public.Yes, not everybody comprehends instructions. I agree.
But sometimes you have to wonder if the information has been read when the website says
See "Contact and Mailing Address" on the right-hand side of the page. And people ask "where do I mail the DS-2001.
"Can I go to the medical the same day as my interview."
"Do I have to attend the medical four days before my interview?"
Embassy page: Please note: The visa interview will not be scheduled until the Immigrant Visa Unit is in receipt of the results of the medical examination.
So, no to the questions because you will never get an interview until the medical results are at the embassy. (Maybe that's down to reading comprehension since you have to make that thought process that there will be no interview unless I go to London prior to have a medical."
Note: We will not accept the short form version of a UK birth certificate. The certificate must list both parents' names "They wouldn't accept my birth certificate because my parents' names weren't on it." (Now that is failure to read carefully.)
And a lot of lore gets tossed around.
"You must call the NVC to find out this or that". No, you don't. It will all get sent in the mail in due time. That's not a real step in the process, but one for the impatient (which is mostly everybody ) And people start thinking it is mandatory in order to get a visa.
"You must take your whole copy of the I-129 petition, and photo albums, and Skype logs to your interview." Nope, not to London. That's why I think it's best to look at what London website says, read every link, read your letter of instruction, then read it all again. I agree there are some odd things that contradict each other on their website. It is challenging.

Please try to provide useful replies. Your first reply makes no sense, since the original poster is waiting for an interview in London, not in the US. Your second reply makes no sense because, firstly, people do have some idea how long London takes to process passports, and secondly, the case is now in the hands of the London consulate, not USCIS.
    Thanks.

    NOA2 24 June
Called and got case number 17 July
19 July Fiancee (USC) got e mail saying NVC had processed petition and sent it to London.
For the avoidance of doubt this is VSC to TSC transfer.
Now just got to wait (really) for it to get to london, wait to get info from them, arrange medical (2 week wait) then wait for appt. There is a theme developing here.
