  • Our Story
Me and Greg started off as pen pals online just looking for friends. He was currently home from work and was going back to Afghanistan shortly. We kept up through emailing each other back and forth daily. Our friendship blossomed into the idea of meeting one day. We met in September of 2012 in New Orleans. When we met we didn't expect anything other than just friendship but what we ended our trip is as lovers. On October 2nd 2012 Greg asked me to be his wife and of course I said yes :) Now as of October 3rd 2013 we are happily married. As of October 2016 Greg and I are happy to announce that as of the 13th of October we have a beautiful healthy boy :) And now another update lol as of May 30th 2018 we welcome our beautiful daughter to the world :)

    A few k1 visa questions

If it makes you feel any better my hubby, then fiancรฉ met in September 2012 and filed in February 2013. When he moved here we lived with my parents for almost a year before getting our own place. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  3. To be honest when I did ours I made color copies on a xerox machine and wrote a brief description of who is who and where we were. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Moving yay!

lmao! Omg my hubby feels exactly the same way. He's a big geek and nerd at heart and now all of a sudden everyone wants to be his friend. He'll do that when people ask where he's from and he'll reply down the road, confuses them. Or if someone will ask if they have such and such a thing in England and that's when his natural sarcasm comes out and he'll say something like "oh and have colored TV and electricity in England too! It's brilliant!" and the poor person talking to him thinks he's the most charming person they've ever met. ๐Ÿ˜‚

lol I can totally understand the looking like you have three heads. I feel like a translator for him sometimes when we go out and when people ask me what country he's from I stress he's from England and speaks English lol lord love him and his northern accent. He always he's home when he's with me and our kids but I always try to do a little extra for him just because seeing an Englishman smile is rare in itself but I love him too pieces and love making him happy even if includes buying a Yorkie bar and have him tease me saying it's not for girls lol. He's been here almost 5 years in September and we're moving because of his job so he's pretty excited and myself about that. He loves change and welcomes new challenges. He's my opposite whose stuck in her ways ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Moving yay!

My hubby and I are moving in the next couple of months to Maryland from Alabama. I'm just curious if anyone knows of any UK type places restraunts / grocery stores exist up that way? We're super excited about the change since my hubby has been nothing but a novelty since he moved to Alabama. I'm just hoping he feels more home like being on the east coast. Many Thanks ๐Ÿ’œ
  7. As long as you have the stamp you should be fine. My hubby traveled to the UK and back with his stamp and had no issues.

Opening US bank account from UK

Have you looked into HSBC, their in UK and US. From my experience working in a bank if a customer doesn't have a social security number they have to come inside a bank to open. Being that USBC is in the UK you could probably open there and use it in the US as well.

    Silly question about traveling

He's dual in the sense of birth but I have to send of birth records and such to the UK to have it approved. I inquired about a UK passport a while back for him and my oldest (8 years old) but never actively seeked dual on paper.

    Silly question about traveling

I'm sure I've overlooked the answer this question but I'm hoping for a little help. My hubby and baby are traveling to Manchester Sunday for 10 days, my son and I have US Passports yet my hubby has a UK passport with a 10 year greencard. Can we enter together or will we have to separate at custome? I know we can go together on our trip home to the US but for the life of me I can't remember going out there whats required. ๐Ÿ˜… Many Thanks!
