LmmL got a reaction from ~Alessa~ in Sealed envelope torn:( please help!!!
I had a fast POE at Dallas on September 30.
The queue was 40 minutes, CBP took my envelope with the 5 cm wide opened on one of its corner without any questions AT ALL.
It took 45 minutes only.
To God be the glory!

LmmL got a reaction from Pitaya in K1 Visa questions
Before you ask questions, it's better if you read uscis website and read also the guides on here. So you will be able to know how to start and what to prepare. Then ask questions when you don't understand some of the requirements.

LmmL got a reaction from uscis1 in My son is a US citizen
If your spouse is not a USC or a Green Card holder (if yes then spouse can petition for you) then i believe the options are Green Card lottery or wait until your son reaches age 21 (if i'm not mistaken) then he could petition for you.

people who accidentaly opened the envelope went back to the embassy to have them re-sealed it.

It is a shame to be let down like that by someone they loved... I hope that she is able to live a fulfilled life and find true happiness back home... Everything happens for a reason and when one door shuts, it directs us towards another one...

LmmL reacted to novedsac in ARE YOU SERIOUS USCIS???? REALLY???
Not encouraging at all, but I also don't see the point in berating the guy for taking a few months like he did.
I agree, planning the paperwork, logistics and funds ahead of time is prudent and avoids unnecessary trouble. I'm surprised at the number of posters who are shocked there is more to do after their loved one arrives in the US. I'm surprised at the number of posters who struggle with meeting the finincial requirements of the I134 and I864. Personally, I'd want all these things ironed out and 'in the bag' before I'd even consider asking someone to come live with me and start a life anew.
Some like to worry about everything. I don't worry about much at all.

I wouldn't have stressed over a few months myself. Pretty rare for ICE to do much in the state I live in, and then its to raid some company hiring illegals. I know I was certainly burned out dealing with paperwork, USCIS, and waiting. The two year break before filing to ROC was truly a blessing. Looking forward to next year when we can go for citizenship and put it away for good. Even if she doesn't care one bit it she becomes a citizen or not.

Um ... they did travel, according to his posting.
While my proactive nature would have had the paperwork filled out and ready to go as soon as the marriage certificate was ready, I also wouldn't have stressed over a wait of four months. The likelihood of being 'caught' is exceedingly small. Driving? Working? Everyone has different priorities. Sounds like this couple had the blessing of time to relax and enjoy each other for a few months.

LmmL got a reaction from RP&SP in What did your Fiance bring with them when coming to USA?
I'll add one more:
The important thing is to bring the college/school transcript with its translation to be used for applying a job here once the work permit/green card received.

LOL, i remember my spouse asked me one night "we are not going to spend another $1070 to get the 10 years gc, right?"
after we got married we decided to relax for few months from working on the AOS, we decided to have fun, going places, and not think about papers. After 4 relaxing months we started the AOS papers, i'm glad we didn't get stress after wedding, lol.

LmmL got a reaction from sweet cakes in Fiance's new friend
On the previous posts you wrote that you have nobody but him, and now you just wrote "multiple friends and family". You actually have people around you to support you and that's good.
anyways, most India people are still holding the "marry the same nationality" tradition. I have three stories:
Story 1- my best friend is an India man, even though he's a mature man, on his 30th his parents set a marriage plan for him, he had a foreign gf and his parents knew about it but he couldn't do anything but to end his relationship and married the girl his parents chose for him.
Story 2: my co-worker was a filipino and her bf was an India guy who
lives in Australia. Even though they live in Australia they still arranged his marriage with an India girl. Again, his parents knew his relationship with my co-worker. But he couldn't do anything but end the relationship with my co-worker who became so sad because of it.
Story 3: even in The Big Bang Theory, Raj's parents want his sister to marry an India man.
That's the tradition/culture that happen in most India families.

LmmL got a reaction from soumausa in I'm waiting NOA1
Waalaikum salam,
If you submitted the G-1145 form with your I-129f then you will receive text/email from uscis that they have accepted your file, and they will send you a formal letter regarding the NOA1 (I-797).

If he gave up on the relationship, don't give up on your baby in your tummy. God never give up on you. Please don't do the abortion. Spend time with people who lift you up (family & friends).

LmmL got a reaction from shady28 in Financial support - petitioner is full-time non-working student, can beneficiary be responsible for financial support?
He needs only one year of his tax return for I134. That's the requirement, based of the requirement the consulate sent me.

LmmL got a reaction from Ryan and Asel in post interview_AOS help please
K1 visa is valid for 6 months, your fiance can fly to US within that 6 months, and when your fiance arrives in US, you have 90 days to get married counted from first day of the arrival, then you can file the AOS anytime we want but sooner is better. That 90 days is only for getting married.

LmmL got a reaction from Lisa-O in So much stress...
Ask your fiance to send email to the embassy explained that he is in military and might be assigned to a zone, ask them to give the interview date as soon as possible so you can get married before military assign you somewhere.
An recent info i got is a soldier won't be sent to the war zone before his foreign wife got a green card.
Anyways, He can pick you up at the airport by taxi, i wouldn't care if i were you, cuz when i finally landed in US i wanna see the man i love not his car
You can go to a flea market to see if you can find any affordable furniture to fill up the house, it should be little by little not like snapping your fingers and furnitures will be there.

LmmL got a reaction from Nich-Nick in Send copy of DS-3025 or find CS for I-693?
Hi everyone,
I just talked to my friend (she's also an Indonesian), she filed for the AOS two months ago, she said that the clinic didn't even gave her the copy of DS-3025, they gave only vaccines card. She copied the card and sent it along with the AOS packet and didn't get any RFE for the medical but she got RFE for the I-485 thingy.
So, hopefully (and Pray hard) i will not get any RFE about the medical since i have the DS-3025 form, vaccines card, and also the certified letter about vaccines i've received. I'll make copies and send it all along with the AOS packet.
