When you put in your case number, be sure to include the 3 letters ie EAC =322. then go through prompts. If that doesn't work, call the number and just wait!!! DO NOT pick any options. Eventually someone will answer in Spanish, but they also speak English. GOOD LUCK!!

You got a REF. They will send you a letter telling you what additional info they need. Most connon for K1 Visa is more proof that the 2 of you have met within the 2 year period

She will probably not be allowed into the US with outstanding warrents. She does need to get this taken care of first. Especially before you marry. What happens if there is more to it and she got a long prison term? Things might turn out that she only pay a fine, who knows?

1. Been there, done that with Drug addicted wife. Unless she wants help, there is nothing you can do. She will lie, cheat and steal. I don't care how hard you try to help her, it will all be in vain. !st order of business is to document that she is unfit to be a wife. This takes proof! police records, bank records , affidavits from family ( statements from them that are notarized). It is easier to get records before divorce is final. 2nd, get a good attorney that knows divorce and has some experience with immigration. Good luck, my friend!

They usually only deny people with criminal backgrounds, arrests for drugs, or are on terrorist lists. If you have clean record, there should not be a problem. Enjoy your stay! Many interesting things to visit in DC.

To make sure, look at the embassy web site to see which they require. Most want the I-134 for the I-129. The I-864 is usually for the adjustment of status - I think.

First of all, congrats to the OP on getting approved!!

Hey I understand your frustration, and although I just started the K-1 process, I'm also ticked off at the fact that CSC filers are getting through at a MUCH faster rate than VSC filers. I also want to contact the Ombudsman but was wondering if it was appropriate for me to complain yet since I only just started the process. What kind of message would I even write?

If more of us raise hell on Ombudsman, then hopefully it will kick VSC into overdrive!!

Dear Sir, I am writing to complain about services provided at Vermont Service Center concerning I-129f applications. A grave injustice has occurred to many US Citizens whom are trying to bring their loved ones home. On May 24, 2013 over 8,000 cases were transferred from Vermont Service Center (VSC) to Texas Service Center (TSC) because of a backlog in processing. Now those cases sit unattended because TSC has to train officers to process those said cases which will result in more delays. Cases left at Vermont Service Center (VSC) continue to languish because of inept management! What processing is occurring at VSC has slowed down since the transfers occurred and backlog will continue to worsen resulting in further delays. All the while processing at California Service Center has progressed to currently adjuncting cases filed in February 2013.

CSC according to the USCIS web site currently has a 5 month waiting period and VSC is currently processing applications from October 15. As a US Citizen our cases should receive priority over the cases of ILLEGAL RESIDENTS filing under DACA.

This is a crock of BS. Everything stops so USCIS can work on "dreamers". Lets see I'm a US CITIZEN and paid over $30,000 in taxes last year, so illegal residents cases get PRIORITY over mine! This country has gone to hell! Sorry for my harsh words, but I'm pissed.
