VSC has created a real mess! 8,000 cases transferred to an office that doesn't do I-129f's so now these people wait until staff is trained. Those left at VSC look to be forgotten. There are still several October and November filers left at VSC . Looking at Igor's list, VSC has slowed down even more. All this while CSC is processing Feb filers. I contacted the Ombudsman office today to complain. But, it will take more than me to bring attention to our plight. If your as pissed off as I am, please fill out this form and complain. There is power in numbers!!!!

call me stupid but what is ombudsman???
and who do you contact them?
Ombudsman is person who oversees immigration. He investigates complaints among other things His email is: OLUINQUIRIES@DHS.GOV

dream on
California service center had earlier stopped doing I-129f. They switched almost all staff to DACA. The filers who were stuck ay CSC started a massive write in campaign. Soon afterwards, CSC transferred some of their DACA to VSC and proceeded to crank out the I-129s again. They went into hyperdrive. Now why did this happen? Because one person complained???? No Because a lot got involved. If the Ombudsman gets one complaint, then it is not a problem. He gets 40 complaints in one day, there may be something to look at. VSC director gets called by 40 people from congressional districts in a week - He may have a change of mind. There is power in numbers.

Make sure to include evidence of meeting! send color copies of ALL pages of passport, reciepts, airline tickets, credit card statements showng activity in their hometown, etc. Pictures are considered secondary evidence. Pictures need to have time stamp or hand written dates, location and names of people on them. Look under FORMS header, and then K1 guides.

Make a point at stopping at border crossing that has immigration officer, and get them to stamp your visa. Credit card statements with purchases in his home town. These may help.

jan 25 noa1 here still at VSC.

Bitching on here doesn't make the process any faster. Put your emotions into action! Contact your senators and congressman. Bug the hell out of the Ombudsman! Squeeky doors get oiled. If all VJ'rs were to write ombudsman at the same time with complaints about service centers, something would change.

You fill out all 4 pages. On last page at bottom, this is left blank. She will sign this at interview in front of officer. Ot at least that is the way we did ours

I feel your pain
Hey!!! VSC processed a Jan 18 filer today!!!
-
I wish VSC would get its act together. On June 3 CSC approved 14 VJ filers while VSC approved just 2. At least Some got transfered so their cases will be adjuncted sooner. The backlog continues and there is nothing we can do but wait in pergitory. This SUCKS!!!!
-
Jan 25 NOA1, not transfered. Stii at VSC. From what can tell, it looks like Jan 17 was cutoff date used for transfers. Even then , I think some DEC and Jan were not transfered.
-
Here is the link to the spred sheet for VSC transfers. It will give you a better understanding of where you are at in relation to others in NOA1 process. Please take time to include your information.

NOA1 of Jan 25, not transferred. Still at VSC

From the responses I've seen, congressional involvement has little to offer. Our best help may lie in contacting the Ombudsman. They are the watchdog of USCIS. Their email is: OLUINQUIRIES@DHS.GOV

VSC transferred cases so they could get back under the 6 month timeline. No pressure on them now to complete K1 visa. They probably pull staff off I-129 and put them on DACA. At end of next month, they will start doing a lot of I-129, until then we will just see a few completed each day -- if we are lucky. Yes, we pay a lot of money to get our loved ones here, but USCIS staff see us as a number only and don't care. They get paid no matter what type of visa they are working on.

Those of us left at VSC are in pergitory
-
I really hope so! Yesterday did not look good on approvals but I trust God and his timing!
Just wanted to say HI. Me and you are in same boat. I did not get transfer. I filed jan 18 with NOA1 date of 1-25

When the dust settles, I think the transfers never left the state of Vermont! They were all probably sent to the local office down the street in St albans.. The initial info given that they went to Texas was wrong. At least you guys are in a position to have yours worked on. I'm Jan 25 NOA1 and VSC did 1 approval yesterday and 2 today with one of them being a REF.
-
Well at least yours is being looked at. VSC did one on 29th of a VJ member and only 2 showing for today.
-
things like birth certificate, marriage certificate. go to embasy site and look up your type of visa. it will have detailed list of what is needed.
-
Yes, between a huge number of VSC files taking a "road trip" in limbo land and the existing filers not getting one approval yesterday on VJ...this is beyond disgusting. What is the "average" number of approvals for VSC for the last two weeks?
Looks like VSC has been approving 4 - 5 daily for last 2 months. Now who knows. I am afraid with case transfers, that they now think that they are within the 5 month time frame, so ours can wait while they catch up on DACA.
-
Anybody hear of any approvals from VSC on 5-29? I hope they dont leave the rest of us high and dry since they transfered a lot of applications.
-
I read today where a JAN 17, NOA1 from VSC got RFE. Maybe those of us left behind might get some luck soon. I'm Jan 25 NOA1. Your field office should get to yours very promptly.
2 January filers approved. VSC. Hope
