  1. The totals for RFE's and NOA2's is flexible, since obviously, some may take their time updating their timeline, but I do like what I have seen watching Igor's list. I really do hope they get through the backlog and get caught back up, and continue to keep caught up after that, for all our sakes and for the future filers.

I am afraid of what could happen to spouse and fiancee visa filers once the new immigration law passes (whatever it finally is) as it is likely going to include a path to citizenship and that if done wrong, could bring another large group of filings to the service centers and create another future backlog. I wrote both of my Senators and asked that they insure a better handling of this issue for the sake of all current and future filers. Nobody deserves to wait as long as many here have had to do recently due to the influx of DACA cases

Any Idea what is going on at Vermont service center? They have not updated their numbers on USCIS web site since January. Are numbers updated quarterly or did someone drop the ball?

  2. I sent my I-129F in January. Waiting on my NOA2. When do you send in your financials and where. Do I send them to NSC or to my love one in Ukraine to take with her to Embassy interview.I am a little confused. I almost have them completed. Just wanting to have everything completed when our time finally arrives.

  3. I have posted in this site before under a different username and have received invaluable advice. Am positive same will apply now.

A year back, I adjusted status to PR based on marriage to US Citizen and received my ten year unconditional GC. However, things have not been going so well for me mostly because I have been unable to find a job and my husband has indicated that he will not continue supporting me for much longer.

I have tried all I can to find a job, but have not been successful so far. Hence, I am thinking of returning to my home country (where it will be easier for me to support myself) and applying for US jobs from there. I have a couple of questions that I am hoping someone can answer.

1)Given the fact that I am not very sure about returning to the US in the immediate future but don't want to jeopardize my chances of a possible return, is it better to apply for a re-entry permit? I know the clock stops after six months of leaving US, but I want to keep my options open.

    2) If, after returning to my home country (after obtaining the re-entry permit), I decide I do not want to return to the US at that point of time and surrender my GC to the nearest consulate, do I have to go through the whole GC filing process once again if (at some later point in time), I decide to come back again? Or is there a simpler procedure to reverse GC abandonment?

How long does it take for a reentry permit to arrive? Please understand that I am in a very confused state of mind right now and exploring various options. I cannot continue living in the US at this point of time without a job but I also would like to keep the door open for the future. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Your husband had to sign a financial responsability form for you to come here. So if you divorce, he must support you. Now as far as work, have you looked everywhere for work ie, fast food, housekeeping, janitorial. You must go out and find a job. They may not pay a lot, but your hasband would not have bases for abandonment.

  4. Have I messed up? I sent my I-129F in mid January. I recieve mo Noai 2 weeks later. I found our pictures together in my car 1 week after I mailed my 129F. The pictures had fallen out of my shipping packet. I went ahead and sent my pictures to Vermont service center with letter explaining my mistake. I never got confirmation of VSC getting our pictures. Does anybody have any suggestions?
