JnRMo reacted to agnesb in Job Scam Alert- My experience with a scammer last evening
Glass door itself is not at fault. They are just a job board. It does not mean that all jobs posted there are a scam. You can actually find many useful information on that portal i.e. Company specific pay rates, interview questions and general employee reviews. That being said it's sad that those suspicious looking ads are not being removed of the website.

JnRMo reacted to Hotter Otter in Got a job!
I'd been looking for something good for about two months and was getting disheartened and about to admit defeat and start applying at grocery stores etc but I got a job offer on Friday and I accepted! Its temporary but it's a decent first US job to have on my resume. Just wanted to share my happiness at finding something lol

JnRMo reacted to Ken&Lin in Advice: Using Reddit for job search
Hi all,
I contacted a subreddit related to my future home area on reddit.com to ask for advice on job search in the area. A lot of people were really friendly and said I could just contact them if I had questions or if I found an I interesting position on their job's website. It's incredible what online communities can do. So now I have 10-15 people to contact ones I go there and get my EAD approved worth a shot for anyone looking for a job. Good luck!

JnRMo reacted to Ian H. in deported with a lifetime ban on reentry
If he was deported, it's because he committed one of those crimes that don't qualify for a waiver, then it's pretty much over for him. Unless you're friends with Obama, seeing as he's the only one who can pardon him.

JnRMo reacted to S_R in deported with a lifetime ban on reentry
Your brother will definitely not be granted a waiver. His family can relocate if they so desire but the US has no appetite for dealing with these types of individuals in these political climate.

Yes they can. It may not be fair to some, but there is nothing illegal in doing so.

This is incorrect.

JnRMo reacted to kzielu in Barred from the USA
Yes, it was and it's nobody's fault but yours. Your plan was flawed from the beginning and you shouldn't count on being always able to enter US while you seem to have abused VWP. Feel sorry for you, but there isn't anything can do here for you and there is nothing unfair in what have happened.

JnRMo reacted to Illiria in VAWA help?
Would you like someone calling you by the wrong name or gender? It sucks no wonder she gets annoyed at the OP. I was constantly being called the wrong name in school and it used to make me so mad, still does actually. When it is a stranger it is one thing but if it is the person you thought loved you no matter what, it must hurt ten times more.
Maybe the OP had threatened to leave the state or country then that could have been why she threatened to go for full custody. Fear of losing ones child can do things to you. I know someone who puts up with the craziest stuff from his ex just so he can continue seeing his kids even though he has a court order that should guarantee it he still has issues with her guilt tripping the kids into spending holidays they should be with him with her instead. He says nothing as he doesn't want her to make the kids lives any more difficult.
It isnt like OP was prevented from leaving the house at all and buying their own food she just wouldn't pay for it, OP says herself that food was paid using family's credit card. Also food can be delivered nowadays so getting to the shop isn't an issue, safeway for instance does online ordering.
I do think her saying OP should get a job as looking after the child is a holiday is a terrible thing to say but is not abuse. Stupid thing to say maybe considering it is illegal if not authorised to work but not abusive.
Yes I get that she fell in love with a man but that person has realised they do not want to be a man and so the OP trying to reinforce a male gender on her is not going to help and wont result in what the OP wants which is a husband again. OP should leave her if that is something they cant accept.
You wouldn't say forcing if they were asking to be called by a new male name so why is it forcing now they have decided to change their name to a female one and a new gender indicator.
The OP should divorce and try and sort out their immigration issues using a lawyer, this is now too complicated to try and do on your own.
Personally I did do all of the immigration stuff myself. I made sure I was never out of status and I did my husbands taxes this year when he asked me to. He has a job and I didn't at the time. I saw it as helping us by helping him as he didnt have the time to do the research for it needed. I took responsibility of my status as I am the one it will affect. My husband and I also have an agreement about childcare as he is always going to be higher paid than me it makes sense for me to be the sole child carer while he establishes his career.
I really do hope the OP can sort this out and come to some sort of peace with this but forcing her spouse back to maleness is not going to happen.

JnRMo reacted to raven52 in All package back after 4 months waiting and the NOA1
Why in the world the moderators, do not require a "timeline" to be enterd before posting, is a huge mystery to me.,..,.this is a perfect example, visitors.,.,.,.no problem.,.,.,people who have "total access" to the site, should .,.,., "have to fill in their timeline's".,.,.,.,. I do not care if they are a member one day, and has filed nothing.,.,just get the timeline started.
OP, the letter you should receive, will probably reveal many mistakes, to send the whold packet back.,.,.,.,.just hang in there.,..,and go by the "excellent" guide provided by theis site!

I have. If they only sent the petition itself with no supporting evidence at all they send the entire package back.

JnRMo reacted to asthania in I want a divorce
Why struggle to live with someone who clearly does want to be with you? It's better to react early than to suffer all your life. Marriage is supposed to be happiness not pain.
If he gets deported how will I obtain a divorce from him?

JnRMo reacted to Caryh in Job offer on hold - Employer won't accept passport temp permanent resident stamp
Most people do not wish to sue their potential employer. Which is why places like this get away with it.

JnRMo got a reaction from AnnaMaria in Best Breakfast on Interview day?
Are there lines at the Romanian embassy? If not, she probably won't have to wait long.
Everything I ate before attending my wife's interview ended up in the consular section's toilet... yeah...

JnRMo reacted to Beautifulday in after the interview...
hi guys...so...i did get approved!!!! which is still a little of a shock, the good kind. everything went well but it wasn't at all what i expected....i've got a huge folder full of documents and relationship proof in it but the only thing they wanted were stuff like my photographs, police certificate, birth certificate and medical envelope AND an I-134. nothing else. not even an I-134 filled by my fiance, one is all they needed. didn't even ask me to show them my co-sponsor's work letter or tax transcript, nothing, they didn't want any actual evidence of her income...guess they just believed what was on the I-134 form. Or maybe i was so convincing, lol. I don't know, I knew this embassy in Warsaw was laid back and not that hard to "conquer" but i didn't expect it to be this way....all they did was ask a lot of questions about me, my exchange years in America and my fiance. Thank you all for your help because i wouldn't have made it without you, lol

JnRMo reacted to Penguin_ie in Time to know each other
A short courtship, combined with only one meeting in person, is a red flag.
But it can be overcome with lots of other bonafide evidence- meeting once more, and maybe being there for the interview (3rd visit) would help.

JnRMo reacted to mtlguy in Visa Denied in Montreal - Domicile
What I find absurd is the rejection itself; the mere fact that a family is pursuing the legal route to move to the US should be proof enough of their intention.
Why else would a young family choose to go through the immigration process if they don't have the intention of moving there?
I honestly don't understand their rationale.

JnRMo reacted to Caryh in I-130 denied today
USCIS has been forwarding the criminal records of petitioners who have been denied because of the AWA to the Philippines. The Philippines has been putting those petitioners on a blacklist and denying entry into the country. This leaves the couple's only option to move to a third country if they wish to be together, as the petitioner is neither allowed back into the Philippines, or allowed to bring the beneficiary to the USA.

JnRMo reacted to belinda63 in I-130 denied today
If I remember this right he falls under the Adam Walsh laws. He can't travel to the PI and his petition for her to come to the US was denied.

JnRMo got a reaction from winger in NEED HELP WITH AN ISSUE AT THE EMBASSY
It should be 8 then? Him, his wife, 2 kids, you, your wife, 2 dependents? Since I believe he has to show the capacity to sponsor his family and yours (but I could be wrong).
